Beautiful home in an exquisite location. The house was clean and had plenty of space. We have stayed in many places through VRBO and chose 4 stars. Furnishings and decor were beautiful and comfortable. The check in policy is very rigid regarding early check in. The coffee bar was sparsely stocked, as well as limited towels. It was wonderful having a golf cart. If you enjoy biking the bikes that are provided are very small cruisers. Great location- close to the beach.

Wonderful trip! Nice house, clean, bikes provided, golf cart, close to Turtle conservatory, and close to beach! We enjoying staying here, our second time. Peaceful & fun!

I booked this property for my family to stay in during my wedding week. It's a lovely location, convenient to the beach and everything else with Bald Head. The property is well appointed (bikes and beach chairs!), the beds/furniture were comfortable, and Ainsley was incredibly friendly, responsive, and accommodating.
A few items kept it from being a top notch experience...
First, and the most minor - a few of the bikes had flat tires and needed to be serviced.
Second is cleanliness. The property was mostly clean, but there were clearly some overlooked areas (like a bug smushed on an outlet cover by the stove, dusty air intakes - like waving in the breeze dust, and visible dust on decorations). To be fair, I did ask for an earlier check-in if possible because of arrival times, but some of this dust couldn't have been from the previous guest, it's been there awhile building up, and its not like I was looking behind pictures, its right in your face.
The 3rd is the mildew smell in the crofter. I know its humid, I know its an island. But its overwhelming and probably in the walls or under the garage.
All that to say, I would stay here again - just maybe not in the crofter haha.
