Canopache (Wampanoag Indian word for 'place of peace') Fantastic 2600 square foot home, completed in October of 2003. You can hear the sound of the surf from this upside down house on 3 acres with cathedral ceilings, tons of sunlight and sweeping ocean views. Warm, light, open, airy and peaceful describe this inviting getaway. Top floor has an open floor plan, fireplace and cathedral ceilings in the living room and dining room, master suite with cathedral ceiling and balcony, and kitchen which has Corian counters, maple butcher block island with Italian glass pendants. Living room opens up to a large deck with 180 degree ocean views. First floor has a large entryway, 3 bedrooms, den with a daybed and terrace doors that open to the second deck. Outdoors there is a large private yard with hydrangeas, beach roses, stone walls and walkways, wild flowers and a large yard with a great outdoor shower. It is a short walk to the ocean and 6 miles to town. The house is fully equipped for your vacation needs. Fully furnished with nice touches and extensive landscaping. Amenities include DVD library with over 200 selections, 32 inch HD TV, all cable channels, DVR capabilities on 2 televisions, tons of books, puzzles, games, free long distance, hammock on large private lawn, 6 burner stainless steel Weber gas grill, a fully equipped kitchen with an array of pots and pans, attractive dishes and serving pieces, Cuisinart, wok, cookbooks, etc.

Our stay on Nantucket was great! Marcie was lovely to work with and allowed us early and late check in since the home wasn't rented the day leading up or after our stay. This was critical because we were traveling with a newborn and 3 dogs! The house had all the basics and the yard was perfect for the dogs. Great view of the surrounding houses and ocean in the distance. It is walking distance to a great beach and park and drivable to town and surrounding areas. We definitely will rent again.

Overall we had a great time with our group of 4 couples and young children. It is off the beaten path but a close walk to beach w/ playground for the kids. A very accurate listing, clean house, beautiful views and friendly and timely communication. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

This home is the perfect Nantucket getaway, with a beautiful yard and plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. Marcie was a fantastic host and she communicated and provided everything we needed. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful property!

It was all it was described in the brochure. The house was lovely and very well equipped. Marcie, the owner, was responsive and helpful. If we ever return to Nantucket, we would stay here again.

The property was a little slice of heaven! Fantastic views, meticulously manicured grounds. The beach with its panoramic views was relaxing and rejuvenating. We all had a wonderful time! This was one of the rare occurrences where as the postcard matched reality!

Marcie was a great landlord. She let us check in/out late. The house was perfect- spacious, clean and a great location. We will be back next year.

Loved this house and its great views and proximity to the water. We took the car ferry over knowing that with the location, we would need transportation while on island. Just a quick 20 minute trip to town and services available without going into town as well. Restaurant Week was a highlight, so cooking was not an issue but the kitchen was well-equipted. One of the most comprehensive guest information books provided by the owners. Would definitely stay here again.
