About this cabin rental

Summary:

Quaint and Rustic Beachfront Cabin

The Space:

This one room rustic cabin that has a small living/dining area, kitchen, bathroom and shower. There is no electricity in the cabin but all appliances (oven and refrigerator) and lights are powered via propane. There are 2 beds. One queen mattress and a full size sleeper sofa. Outside the windows from where you sit to drink your coffee, display a wonderful view of the Strait. Inside, snuggle in and enjoy the beautiful glowing flames and warmth of the propane fire stove. Relax on the beach or bring your boat for some of the best fishing and crabbing in the Pacific NW.

Whiskey Creek Beach NW has exquisite views of the Straight of Juan De Fuca. The Codfish Cottage cabin is situated only a few feet from the beautiful pebble beach with unobstructed views of the Canadian Cascades.

Located just 25 minutes outside Port Angeles, our guests can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula with easy access to town and some of the best hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring you will ever find. There is so much to do in and around the Olympic National Forest, so take your time and enjoy your stay!

Nearby Olympic National Park entrances like the Sol Duc, Hurricane Ridge, Hoh Rain Forest, Cape Flattery make this location an excellent "base camp" from which you can explore the Olympic Peninsula and towns like Forks, Neah Bay and beaches like Shi Shi Beach and Hobuck Beach. Explore the parks, walk the rivers (Dungeness, Elwha and many more), kayak on Lake Crescent or drop right in the Strait from our private boat ramp. During the Winter and Fall, enjoy the true nature of the Pacific Northwest: observe the high tides, storm surges and occasional dense marine fog from the comfort of your cozy cabin. You are going to love this place!

** Strict Pet Policy: Please inform me upon booking that you would like to bring a pet. We allow 1 pet 25lbs and under. You will need to pay the pet fee in the office upon arrival. Fee ranges by breed. (starting at $10 a night for non-shedding, smaller pets if you bring bedding for your bed). To save a large portion of the pet fee, please bring along your own bedding (blankets and pillows) for your beds. Please keep pets off all furniture. Keep pets on a leash when out in the campground. Keep them under control and clean up after them.

The Neighborhood:

We are nestled in the middle of so many beautiful spots to visit here around the Olympic parks. Only 25-30 min to the breathtaking Lake Crescent. There are numerous hikes and places to explore there. Not much further from that is the entrance to Sol Duc. Going the other direction you’ll find the Olympic Hot Springs and be close to Hurricane Ridge entrance . Cape flattery or the Hoh rainforest are not to be missed if you’re headed towards Sekui or Forks area.

* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 8pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night.

* Blackberry Cafe is a nice option for a meal out that is only 5-8 min from us. Family Kitchen and the One Twelve are two others near our place. In Port Angeles you have everything from amazing burgers at the Next Door Gastropub, tasty BBQ at Coyote Grill, yummy seafood and steak at Kokopelli Grill, Pho that’s the best at New Saigon. For quick and easy on the pocketbook, Fast Burrito with fresh tasty Mexican food . Also Sabi Thai has stellar Thai food. New Day Eatery has breakfast and lunch only, and is very good! Off the 101 on your way to Lake crescent, try out Granny’s Cafe open during the summer season.

Loved listening to the waves crashing and watching the fireplace flames as I drifted off to sleep. The view of the Strait of Juan De Fuca is incomparable and the host/owner Rachael was super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

My partner and I stayed 2 nights in the Barnacle Hill cabin and it was absolutely gorgeous. My partner lives in Seattle and I live in Wisconsin so this was a special, romantic getaway for the two of us. Having it at Whiskey Creek Beach NW was perfect; the cabin was decorated so beautifully and it was fully stocked with all of our kitchen needs. The cabin does not haveelectricity but the candlelight and kerosene lamps provided a perfect, romantic atmosphere. The views of the water were breathtaking and we liked that our cabin was a little further away from other cabins. The fireplace provided the cherry on top for a cozy weekend together. The second night we used the fire pit to grill steaks. We brought along our own steel grate and it fit perfectly over the fire. Firewood was in the main office for purchase. It was a little chilly but sitting together by the campfire was so relaxing. The bed was perfectly positioned by the windows so we could cuddle up, drink coffee, and stare out at the beautiful sights in the morning. I would say the cabin is perfect for a pair or even 1 traveler. Being so close to everything in Olympic National Park so it was the perfect spot for us as we kayaked and hiked during the time we were there. The cabin was super cozy and the perfect place to unplug and enjoy time spent with someone you care about. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice, romantic getaway with stunning views!
