From the moment we drove into the driveway, I knew we were going to love this place. The charm, character, and history was evident everywhere we looked. It was exactly perfect being that we did not want some cookie cutter condo to stay in this time. Perfect location, centrally located, but was not noisy. And the customer service was beyond exceptional!! Will not consider any other rental company. We are pro-Mermaid for life!!! 😂

Our stay was wonderful! The overall air conditioning was great with a brand new kitchen and very clean and homey ambiance. We enjoyed the house and its location greatly as it was a 10 minute walk to the lighthouse and north beach shoppes and around the corner from a good restaurant - Cockspur Grill (named after the old lighthouse in the Savannah river). Tammy was very attentive and helpful and made sure everything was to our liking.

The mermaids were very helpful. They reached out to me when my initial house became unavailable due to plumbing issues and quickly provided options for a new house we could rent for the same weekend. The mermaids also checked in through text during the stay as well to ensure our stay was comfortable.

We have enjoyed Rose's for 2 years now. It does have a homey feel to it and the kitchen remodel is lovely. The beds are comfortable. The decor is strange and for a rental. Some of the paintings are dark and dreary and the religious decor doesn't fit the quaintness of this cottage. We are people that love fresh air and the windows do not open. The living room furniture has covers on them and are always in shambles. There is attic space and another bathroom upstairs which would add to the quaintness of the cottage however it is locked and not useable. Deck off the kitchen could use an update as well. We have made Rose's our home away from home for a few years. We hope that others enjoy the quaint but quirkiness of Rose's Folie.

The cottage was cute and comfortable for my family of three and our dog - who enjoyed the enclosed yard and nearby park. A bit drafty but who knew Tybee would have its coldest temps in decades during our stay? Close enough to the beach and near some great restaurants (Chamacos or Huc-a-Poos, anyone?). Would recommend for those who enjoy charming character in their vacation rentals. Diane and staff were great and even offered an extra day for free. Would rent again.

We absolutely loved our time here! It was a short 3-minute bike ride from the beach, so we were there constantly! The house is cute, and the property managers were excellent. We will definitely be back!

I suggested they add a light near the key holder to make it easier for late checking to find.

We spent a weekend in Tybee for our annual fossil shark's tooth hunt, and this house was perfect! It was very clean and welcoming, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. As advertised, the house is on a main road and there is quite a bit of traffic that comes by, but it was easy to get in and out of the driveway, and at night people were very respectful of noise levels. It seemed a little quieter than the other side of the island, and I loved being so close to the lighthouse and checking out the historical district. We definitely enjoyed staying here and would stay here again!

Great beach cottage with an incredible personality!
We enjoyed our time at Rosie’s Follie! Very friendly staff at the Mermaid cottages with personalized touches such as dropping off beach toys with a welcome note for our 2 year old granddaughter, such a sweet touch! The North area the house is located on was the perfect side to be steeped with history and peaceful moments without all the hustle of the crowds from the south side . This cottage is welcoming and has fun and eclectic art finishes that stir up the imagination . A beautiful piece of history to experience on Tybee Island, highly recommend!

House was great for our family with 3 kids under 5. Close proximity to everything, and very walkable to the beach, local playground, light house, marine science center etc. Will consider staying here again in the future.

Awesome getaway
My girlfriend and I were looking for a little weekend getaway and stumbled across Ed this listing on VRBO. We both knew right away that this was the place we wanted stay. Check in was easy, the communication with the rental staff was excellent and they were always there to answer any questions. Not too far from beach access. Would definitely recommend!

Not my favorite cottage! First, the yard is a complete mess creating a less than desirable curb appeal and first impression. It's listed as a 2 bath, however, the ceiling in the second shower is slanted and even my daughter who is only 5ft tall couldn't stand up in it and had to sit on the floor to shower. If you do use the shower, beware, it could drip into the dining room if any of the water leaks out. This is misleading and should be listed as a 1.5 bath. The upstairs is very cute otherwise. Rose's Folie could definitely benefit from new couches and new paint as it is falling off the ceiling in the bedrooms. Last, the location is very close to the main road so it's loud and difficult to back out of the driveway. I've had great experiences with Mermaid Cottages but this rental was disappointing.

The mermaids were very responsive and friendly. We found The rental property to be shabby and the living room smelled musty with a hint of cigarette smoke. There was a rusty old shed in back and the doors would bang together. The starter package of tp, soap, etc was barebones.

We enjoyed staying in this home. It was nice to have little extras left for us to use like paper towels, etc. The manager was very helpful with a few small problems we in countered. We all slept ok in the beds, one was very firm, one was way too soft and upstairs was a little warm. The location was perfect to go to the beach.

House was great for our family of 4. The downstairs toilet stopped up and required lots of plunging. Also the upstairs bedroom did not cool well enough to sleep up there, which wasn't a big deal because we could all sleep downstairs, but the bed area was never cool enough to sleep.
