Nestled in Pentwater, this lovely house for $450 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This spacious Pentwater village 2 story family home is the perfect retreat for your family and/or friends. It sleeps 22 and is walking distance to town, marina and the beach. With several living rooms and sitting areas, a sun room and deck there is room for everyone. Enjoy the fire pit or gas grille outside or the well-stocked kitchen/dining room inside. 2 TV’s with cable (DVD & VCR) and WiFi. The main floor has two bedrooms (a king in one and a queen in the other), two full baths, sun room, sitting room with TV, kitchen, dining room and living room. On the second story you will find another living room with TV, half bath and five bedrooms. The first has one full bed and two twins, the second has a king, the third is a full and two twins (trundle), the fourth has 6 twins (2 bunks) and the fifth has one queen. Everything is a short walk or bike ride and you won't need your car unless you are leaving town. Plenty of parking for cars, boats or others toys with two driveways. Enjoy the beautiful beach, quaint town, charter fishing or just relaxing in the quiet neighborhood. Golfing, Silver Lake sand dunes, horseback riding and many other activities are just a short drive.

Very nice property for as old as it was.

We normally take our VRBO vacation at a waterfront setting, so we were a little unsure about an "in town" setting. But it was fun being able to walk to town, go through the interesting shops, and golf cart around the neighborhoods. The house we stayed in was perfect for our 16 member family, having multiple gathering and sleeping areas. The house was well equipped with kitchen wares, outdoor furnishings, and even bicycles! All in all, it was a good choice for a great vacation.

This place met all of our needs. It was perfectly spacious for our group of 13 adults that came to the area to play as many disc golf courses and board games as possible. The outdoor picnic tables were great, the beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet - yet close to anything you need. Becki was extremely easy to coordinate with and super responsive. Remember to bring your own linens and towels!

The property was very clean and located just a few blocks from main street Pentwater. We enjoyed being able to walk downtown to look at shops and grab some ice cream or coffee. The beach is walking distance and was very pretty! The kitchen within the home was well stocked. The home provided several rooms to gather and hang out in . We enjoyed the outside areas for gathering around the fire pit, games, and for eating. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home!

House was perfect and exactly as described in the posting for our ladies fishing weekend! Absolutely wonderful host that was immediately responsive when asking questions! Tons of room, great outdoor space, and lots of beds for all the friends and family. Super close to downtown and very quiet neighborhood! Would love to stay again!

Becki is the nicest host. She was accommodating our early check in request and was very easy to communicate with.
While our party included just 6 people, I was amazed to see how the house is perfectly organized to accommodate large families. Lots of communal spaces inside and well distributed relaxing/ eating areas outside. The kitchen is super equipped with plenty for large groups.

5H2O 2020 Family Vacay
We were very happy with our choice and look forward to a return next summer. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a shed filled with bikes, beach toys, chairs and umbrellas. Great outside space for play, eating and visiting. Homeowner was very easy to communicate with.

Great place to make memories with family.
Rutledge Retreat was well equipped with everything our family of 21 (10 adults, 11 kids) needed. The cottage was very clean. There was plenty of inside and outside sitting areas. Kitchen was great to cook and serve out of. Extra outside refrigerator was very nice for extra storage. Grandkids loved bunk beds so they could be with cousins.
Location to town and beach is in walking distance which was a great way to use up kids extra energy.
The owner Becki couldn't have been more accommodating. We really appreciate everything she did for us.
This cottage has been well thought out and has many extras to make it a great place to bring your large family.

Beautiful home in Pentwater
We were a group of 21(12 adults and 9 kids) who rented this place out for a weekend of fun and comfort. And we were not disappointed! Clean and beautiful home very close to the beach. Had an awesome time creating great memories for all of us. Owner Becki was very helpful and quick to respond to all our queries. Will definitely plan for an extended stay here sometime next year.

Best Vacation EVER!!
It was very nice to have my entire family stay in one house. We have four small children and the large number of rooms was very nice. The beach was a short distance away and everyone had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this rental.

Best Vacation Ever!!!
Where to begin? I have a very large family. VERY large. We were so excited to find a place that everyone could gather together for a weeks vacation. We came from 3 states and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. I have stayed at many different vacation rentals in different parts of the country and this surpassed them all. Becki was great to work with and I was so impressed by all of the things that have been included. Bikes for the family to ride, even a scooter for my 9 year old son who doesn’t like bike riding! Kitchen appliances, games, books, everything has been carefully thought out and provided. The town of Pentwater is like something out of a Hallmark movie. We rode bikes or walked into town every day for amazing burgers, ice cream and candy! Thank you Becki for an amazing family vacation that my mom will never forget. She had all 6 of her kids from 3 states there to celebrate her birthday and spend family time together. Can’t wait until next year to come back!!!!

Some parts were very good. The size of the house, many bedrooms, close to town, outside fridge. Other parts needed to be addressed. Outdated beds, furniture and decor of home. We enjoyed our stay.

It was so family friendly. There were several different sitting places inside and out.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Rutledge Retreat. It was in a great location, a short walk to town and a nice walk to the beach. The house itself had so many sitting areas both in and outside that we were able to spread out. The owners took care to make sure everything we needed was supplied down to sidewalk chalk for the kids. I would recommend it to any large family who wants to spend a week together as we did. Our grand-kids will remember this as a special place.

Great Space
Group of 9 came in for a wedding. We all fit comfortably and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms. Outside has a nice grill, patio and front yard to hang out in. There are two living rooms, one on each floor with really comfortable couches you just sink into. Only a 5 minute walk from the main road with all food and bars. Becki was very responsive to all of our questions

Extremely Cozy and Fun Getaway!
My friends and I stayed at the Pentwater Village Home for a yearly get together and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house is exactly as described and was only a short walk into the quaint town of Pentwater. I can guarantee you won't regret staying here and everything this Vacation Rental has to offer!

Older home - has space - not worth price
While the home does have space for the amount of people we had and a nice outdoor space - home was very outdated and unsafe in some areas. Kitchen was small and not a ton of space to prep or in fridge. House has washer and dryer but you are unable to use it. Laundromat is not always stocked with quarters or detergent and the washer/dryers do not work well. Ceiling fan broke in one room and almost hit a child sleeping on a bed. Have exposed wiring in upstairs rooms. Internet only worked here and there but very slow. Overall not worth the price they are charging.

We had a great time. The house was clean and we found everything that we needed. We had a small issue with the internet but a quick message to Becki and we had that fixed. Only 3 blocks from the ice cream shop was great.

Absolutely perfect!
I would HIGHLY recommend this home for anyone planning a large family vacation! There are so many different spaces to sit together/read/play, that you never get under each others feet. The outside space is even covered so that with bad weather, you can be out. We loved it and would tell anyone we knew to stay there! Becki was awesome to deal with and super accommodating!

We loved this property!! We had 7 adults and 7 children and their was plenty of space for us all!! I have never stayed at a rental that has so much for you to use. We did 7 puzzles , played lots of games, plenty of chairs for in and out and to take to the beach. We had family at a different rental and they wished they had ours. Very comfortable and Becki was very helpful with any questions we had. Thanks Becki, for helping our family enjoy such a wonderful reunion week!! We will be back, I'm sure 😊☀️!!!

Wonderful Setting / Perfect House
With thanks to the owners, we enjoyed a relaxing week of immersion in the easy flow of Pentwater life. The house is perfectly situated to take advantage of the amenities that downtown Pentwater offers. Shops, boutiques and restaurants, mini-golf and the town green featuring nightly concerts are a few blocks away yet the nightly sounds around the house are the quiet sounds of a Michigan summer night - cicadas, crickets and the rustling leaves in the evening breeze. Pentwater is a delightfully quiet town after dark.
The Pentwater beach is within reasonable walking or biking distance and the walkway along the pier offers easy access without having to use busy streets. Days are enchanting, sunsets are specatacular.
The owners have created a lovely refuge of indoor and outdoor spaces with ample patio, deck and seating options for outdoor family activity and dining and the spacious lawn is great for family Bocci ball tournaments. Large trees on the west side of the property shelter the house with afternoon shade and create a welcome respite. Our youngest family members really appreciated the stock of beach toys and our older members loved the outdoor shower.
Beds were comfortable and plentiful and the ample number of fans allowed us to bring in refreshing evening air. The kitchen is well stocked with ample pots, pans and cutlery and everything about the house is in fine working order.

Pentwater Gem
The property was beautifully suited for a large family. The layout is spacious and well designed for large gatherings while not feeling like you are right on top of one another. A great location for venturing into town and the beach. Property was clean and equipped with everything to meet your weekly vacation needs, kitchen, games and outdoor furniture with firepit. The only negative was no available washer and dryer. Love the outdoor shower. I would stay at the location again and feel comfortable to recommend it.

We absolutely loved this rental! The home was clean and organized. I really liked the hooks throughout the rooms! Helps keeps things neat and off the floors. We had a large group, and we loved that there was plenty of beds for everyone, from adults & teens to little kids. In addition, there were board games, books, some play items in the shed. The kitchen is also very well stocked w/ everything you would need to cook meals. The location is perfect, as downtown Pentwater is just a few blocks. It was wonderful walking down to the coffee shop for a latte in the mornings. So peaceful :) The shops in town are very cute too, from upscale boutiques offering brands like Trina Turk, to more casual brands like, free people. There are also wonderful kids boutiques and stores with cute rustic wooden decor and Michigan made items. The beach is also just a few mins and there are basketball & tennis courts right down the road. Our families really enjoyed the property and felt very relaxed and comfortable settling in for our stay. Becki is also wonderful! She was very courteous and professional and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for opening up your home and sharing it with us. Truly felt like a home :)
