Located in Arcata, this attractive house for $225 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. A spacious home in the towering redwoods awaits as you meander up a hilly, private lane. We are situated in a pastoral setting, minutes from Highway 101 and equidistant from the cities of Eureka and Arcata (approximately 10 minutes from each). Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a family vacation, we offer all the amenities of home and then some! Our two-story redwood home is surrounded by an extensive deck, perfect for relaxing after a day spent exploring the North Coast. Prepare a meal of fresh, locally caught seafood and organically grown produce in our well-equipped kitchen. Let the sounds of nature lull you to sleep while you repose in a spacious bedroom with quality linens. Both bedrooms have vaulted ceilings - one with a king bed and the other with a queen and twin bed. The downstairs office provides a quiet space and hosts an ottoman that opens into a comfortable single bed. Humboldt County is renowned as a haven for nature lovers. With year round mild climate, and scenic vistas, see why we are listed as the second most desirable county in the country! Our home is well-situated to access local beaches, Redwood National Park, Humboldt State University, Victorian Ferndale and many other unique places. We are delighted to share our home with you!

I am SO happy we were able to stay in this wonderful home nestled amongst the redwoods. Perfect for me and my family to use as a base of operations for getting out to visit and reconnect with friends and family in the area. The small touches of warmth and welcome were abundant and appreciated, and communication was caring, kind and prompt. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay - we'll definitely hope to be back soon!!!

The house was beautiful. So much space and perfect for family gathering. The rooms and and beds were very comfortable. Tons of natural light from the forest.

We did have a few issues with our stay.
Apparently there was a " SCHEDULED 7hr pge maintenance" on our 2nd day. We were not notified by the owner until 8am that same morning. Which meant no utilities/power/water (showers)etc. all day. Upon returning to the house (5pm) after our day, we still had no water! I feel that if this was a Scheduled Maintenance we needed to be informed sooner that the day of!
Regarding this inconvenience I feel the owner could have offered to compensated us in some way or even apologized for this inconvenience, we received neither.
Also, the downstairs shower really needs to be updated. the shower head would not stay in one position. There were no safety/grab bars in the stall, this really is a safety issue!
This is my our second time using a vrbo, I would not stay here in the future.

Off the beaten path on a hilly one lane road but fairly convenient to area activities. The lay out was unusual with stairs here and there on the main floor. Did not expect that upstairs was heated by space heaters.

Our family stayed in beautiful Redwood Haven during our daughter's graduation weekend. What a peaceful retreat it was, a wonderful reprieve from our city life! The property is hemmed in by gorgeous, giant redwoods; we enjoyed morning coffee and sunsets daily from the deck with only the sound of birds and nature, so relaxing! We also enjoyed the immense selection of books in many rooms. The home had everything we needed for our stay and Teresa was a wonderful host with some sweet personal touches. We will treasure our framed leaf and hope to be back again in the future! Thank you for sharing your special place with us.

This home deserves all the great reviews and is definitely a place we want to return to. The location is perfect, beds are comfortable and house is centrally located to see all the beautiful sights the area offers.

This house was perfect for us to call home while exploring the Redwoods and the shorelines. It was so quiet and clean, extremely comfortable and had everything you need to relax, cook, eat and sleep. The beds were wonderful and we slept great every night.
A huge bonus were the binders our host put together regarding dining, activities, places to visit and outdoor activities. They included brochures and maps that allowed us to quickly find things to do on the one rainy day and the maps were invaluable for finding hiking trails in the Redwoods and access to the beaches and shorelines.
In all I would rate this property a solid 10 and will return to this home when we come back for another visit to the big trees.

A perfect get away for our little family for the holidays. The house was warm when we arrived, with a fire burning to welcome us. Everything was easy, from walks in the Arcata redwoods and marshes, to cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. Communication was always prompt and clear. Truly wonderful.

Owner and property were exceptional. Teresa had great communication, even came over to show us his to use the fireplace.
Accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Our fur baby loved exploring the deck and neighborhood walks each day.
Great location for exploration of Historic Eureka and the Redwoods National and State Parks.

We all loved it! This is a beautiful cabin in a serene forest setting. Very charming- with so much character. Could have hung out on the incredible porch for days.
We (spouse and I) went with another couple. The bedrooms are lovely and provide for privacy- even with a shared bathroom (which was adorable). Close to town and casinos.
Teresa- the host- is very nice and thoughtful. She even left a welcome note on the door. (Thank you for everything!)
We will definitely stay there again if in that area.

Big house, lots of room for a family of 5. Adults loved all the conveniences and kids loved all the special touches. Local artwork was a great touch. Beds were super comfortable. Would come back here and recommend it. About 45 mins away from all the Redwood parks which worked out well.

Beautiful sunset view
The house was roomy and spacious. Close to shopping and great restaurants. Every night we watched a beautiful sunset from the backyard patios through the trees. We loved that the location was in the hills so we were in nature rather than in town.
