About this condo rental
Located in Ocean Beach, this lovely condo for $295 per night is a great option for your next break. College students and traveling nurses please contact host for monthly discount due to covid 19. Clean and isolated, 1 block from beach! If this listing doesn't not have the dates you need please check our 3 other units on the same property: 1191673(2101), 1128383(2107), 1164744 (2103) are the other units in the same building. AMENITIES: Totally remodeled including new furnishings, linens, towels and appliances. Full size appliances in Kitchen with spices, olive oil and cooking utensils for family cooking. Bathroom has towels, makeup remover, hair dryer and straightener and basic toiletries for your needs. Hand Held Massager, Toys, Games and Magazines are also provided inside the unit. We also provide yoga mats, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach mat and beach towels for use. Beach chairs and cooler upon request prior to check-in. WiFi and cable access with Google Mini too! Gas BBQ grill and outdoor furniture are available in our common courtyard space! LOCATION: This apartment is on the street level but has 2 small steps to walk into the front door. One block from Ocean Beach with bicycle rental, shower facility and lifeguard. Scooter rental and parking available right outside the apartment on the street. Walking distance to the famous OB pier (the longest concrete pier on the West Coast) and the main restaurants of Ocean Beach – Newport Avenue. On Newport, there are many restaurants, antique stores, coffee house s, bars, bike and surf shops. On Wednesday evenings (4pm to 8pm)Newport Avenue features a Farmer’s Market where you can find local fruits, vegetables and flowers, street performances and food vendors. Ocean Beach is conveniently located within 15 minutes of major attractions including the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Museums, Old Town, Sea World, Kayaking, Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium, La Jolla Cove, hiking, surfing, golfing, boating and miles of sandy beaches. PETS: We supply pet bed, toy, dogie bag and food bowls and charge an extra $50 non-refundable per pet fee per stay. Maximum 2 small pets. Please notify owner of any pets during your trip! PLEASE NOTE: Convenience store to get bottled water and simple breakfast one block from property! Ocean Beach less than 5 mins walk Dog beach less than 10 mins walk Restaurants less than 10 mins walk Wednesday Farmer's Market less than 10 mins walk Famous Sunset Cliffs National Park about 5 mins drive SD airport and SeaWorld about 10 mins drive Only Free Street Parking is available all around property. No designated parking space! Highly recommend to use Uber or shared Lyft instead of renting a car! Please request beach chairs and/or small cooler prior to arrival at time of reservation! We have a lot of returned guests. The property is owned and managed by the owner as well as 2 managers who live 10 mins away to service the guests. Property is meticulously maintained and cleaned every reservation.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ocean Beach other than trying to find parking. The bathroom had lots of great supplies and the kitchen seemed well stocked. The property manager was very responsive.

Parking is a precious commodity in San Diego so try to get there before everyone gets home from work or Uber wherever you need to go but this worked great for us!

We had a really wonderful time during our stay! The location is perfect--walking distance to both the beach and restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. It was also a very dog friendly place, complete with small dog bed, bowls and towels. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Wish we could've lowered the ac below 72° though, as I am an extra hot person. Every time we'd come back the temp would be raised to 74-76°. Other than that, the stay was perfect.

This place exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect to access the beach, shops and restaurants. The condo was equipped with beach towels, chairs, body boards, dog toys and sand toys. We enjoyed reading our books on the back patio with a cup of coffee and the local nightlife. If we go to Ocean Beach again, we would love to stay here!

Super cute place, perfect location for walking/biking to beach and restaurants. Owner provides beach chairs, boogie boards and, sand toys. BBQ grill in backyard of downstairs unit. Unit was very clean and updated. Kitchen fully stocked with pots/pans, dishes, utensils. Noise level was a little much because its on a main street. Walls are very thin so heard every move and noise from upstairs neighbors. Be prepared to search for parking and possibly have to park blocks away. No designated parking and street parking is always taken.

We make an annual trip to SoCal and try out all locations from Newport Beach and down the coast. This was our first time in Ocean Beach. The proximity to the beach, food, conscience store and shopping was perfect. No longer than a 7 min walk to anything. The residence was just as it was pictured. I like that it had beach chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella and beach toys. The manger was very accessible and helpful. The space was clean. The outdoor space was a good size and obscured from the street view for privacy. The only thing that was a bit of a challenge, and I was warned not only by other posts and the manager, was parking. Not terrible as everything is walkable so it wasn’t that big of a deal. Thank you Meiluen for your quick responses even though you were in Korea at the time of our trip! Would love to stay here again.

Blocks from dog beach, pet friendly location. Excellently communication with the property owner and that is very comforting for me ! No questions were left unanswered and I felt confident that if there were any issues , they would be addressed. But there were no issues, it was GREAT!

My family had a memorable stay at this house. Very well kept house from inside, enough space for a small family. My dog had so much fun at the dog beach which is 5 mins walk. Me and my wife enjoyed nearby pubs. Walking in the night felt very safe.
I forgot couple of clothes in the drawer and owner reached out to me and even offered to drop it at nearby location. Really very appreciative of the excellent service.

This place is very nice, comfortable and clean. Owner is responsive. My only negative about the place is the noise from airplanes flying overhead particularly in the morning. Starting at 6AM planes continually fly overhead every minute for several hours and they are quite noisy. If you are a heavy sleeper, this place is perfect, but I found it impossible to sleep after 6AM. 4 stars for the noise, otherwise 5 stars.

Owner was wonderful and communicative throughout. Property is as described and was perfect for our needs. We were passing through the area and wanted to take our 10-month-old puppy to the dog beach. Ocean Beach overall is super dog friendly, very walkable, and this property was great for a dog and a very short walk to the dog beach.

My wife, dog and I stayed at this property for a few nights. The house was very clean and put together well. We had everything we needed during our stay. The location was great. We were just one block from the beach, which worked well considering my wife has a bad knee and our pug prefers short walks. :-)
Parking can be a challenge since there is only street parking. Once we scored a parking spot in front of our VRBO we didn't move (except for the street cleaner that comes between 7-10 am on Wednesdays per the street sign).
Meiluen went above and beyond when it came to communication. My only suggestion would be to include in the "rule" binder suggestions on places to visit and restaurants in the vicinity. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a short and wonderful stay. The unit was exactly as described. Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location is amazing and walking distance from the beach and restaurants/shopping. The owner was wonderful and very communicative throughout our visit. Would absolutely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place had everything we needed. It was very clean, comfortable beds, exactly as it looks in the pictures. It’s a one block walk to the beach and super easy walk to restaurants and coffee shops. We found that every place we needed to drive to was about a ten minute drive. Very good location for sight seeing. We never had an issue finding parking close by. We are a family and I’d say the neighborhood lends itself more to young adults, but that was never an issue for us. The only issue we had was the the person in the unit above woke up around 4 am and walked around endlessly the first two mornings we were there. Not sure what they were doing, but it made it hard to sleep. Not sure if it’s another rental unit up there or not so we didn’t complain as there probably wasn’t anything the owner could do. They either left or changed their habits the next two mornings as we didn’t hear them and were able to get some sleep in the comfy beds. We are planning on coming back next year and can hopefully rent this place again.

Parking in the area is a nightmare! The apartment (not bungalow per se) was small but nice. Lacked outlets throughout the home - likely due to age, but otherwise functional. Best part of the rental was the owner - very communicative before, during and after the stay - couldn’t have asked for better!

The only reason we are putting anything less than 5 stars is because the host has a security camera outside in the “common area”. The camera is fine, the issue was that the host messaged me about looking in a storage closet which wasn’t locked and should have been and then asked who was it she saw sitting with us in the area-it felt a little invasive and a bit uncomfortable so we wound up not hanging outside in that area much. But she wasn’t rude or anything, it was just unexpected.
Other than that, the location is unbeatable, the unit is very clean and has all the amenities we needed and more, the host is super kind and friendly, the house cleaners were very kind when we were leaving, and we would recommend this to others.

Perfect escape
We were here for a conference but wanted something that provided us a reprieve from the conference world...this place was the perfect escape and retreat. Close to the beach, caught every sunset, clean, comfy and our host was very accommodating. I hope to return with my 2 children for a real vacation!

Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. This was our first Vrbo stay. the location proximity to the beach is so close! The decorations and amenities the apartment offer is excellent too! Traveled with my 3 daughters (20, 18 & 16) from Ohio! This place was worth the 2500 mile drive for spring break. Thank you!

Nice Home; Great Location
Conveniently located near the beach (dog beach too!), short walk to main part of Ocean Beach (restaurants, bars, coffee, etc.) and in a quiet area. Only issue was that the posting said there was a washer/dryer but that's incorrect. The home was clean and the beds comfortable - a very enjoyable stay! (And communication with the host was fantastic!)
