About this house rental
This island beach home offers all the luxury, warmth and charm needed to enjoy our wonderful island. Located in the desirable village area, it is less than three blocks from the ocean, lighthouse, pier, Neptune Park Pool, St. Simons Park, and village shops, playgrounds and restaurants. All of your vacation activities are just a short stroll away. Tastefully decorated to accentuate all of the builders upgrades, this is our home away from home. There is a plush king, plush queen, two singles, and a fold-out couch to accommodate up to seven sleeping guests. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower, and the downstairs master also has an oversized tub. We even have Wi-Fi access so you can stay connected to the real world if you have to. We hope you enjoy all of the little things we have provided so that adults and families can enjoy it as much as we do. For those who have never been to St. Simons, it is the most peaceful beach destination there is. It is not commercialized, and very relaxing. Historic sites, village shopping, a lighthouse, fishing from the pier for fishermen and site seers alike, and many restaurants all within walking distance of our home. There are several beautiful public and private golf courses on the island. For those who want to enjoy the ocean acitivities or intercoastal waterway; swimming, boating, charter fishing and kayaking are all near by. Complete with everything needed to enjoy a few weeks on the island, or just an extended weekend getaway, our place is perfect for family or couples. We're sure you will love it! Keywords: House

Excellent location, on quiet residential street in beautiful neighbourhood with live oaks, just a few minutes walk from centre of St, Simons village and beach. Charming house, conveniently set up for family group. We enjoyed having breakfast and afternoon drinks on the porch.

It is as a great location house is old and worn but all in all it was fine

Here are the pros and cons of the house. We were able to handle all the cons without a call to management/owner. I assume some of the stuff the owner may not be aware of.
The pros:
1. The location was awesome.
2. Walking distance to the pier, shops, and food.
3. 3 bedroom with space to spread out.
4. Plenty of floats, chairs and sandcastle making items.
5. AC was cold (bbbrrr).
6. Washer and dryer worked wonderfully.
7. Large front porch.
8. Master on main and plenty of room with a comfortable bed.
The cons:
1. Parking for 1 vehicle only. We parked other vehicles in a parking a lot up the street (rented a golf cart).
2. Main bathroom on second floor shower did not work (2 showers up there so not a big deal).
3. The house was dirty. (Sand on the floors and couch).
4. No yard.
5. No extra sheets, towels, or linens.
6. Internet was in and out (not a big deal as I used my hotspot while I had to work).
7. Large stain on the carpet upstairs. (Not a deal breaker by any means(
8. The house smelled like a closed up basement.
A. There was an air purifier but the change filter light was on. We cleaned it out the best we could.
B. Normally wouldn’t bother me, but my daughter has allergenic asthma and mold, dust and such cause it to act up.
I would suggest if you stay here, get there early enough to open windows to air it out, bring cleaning stuff and your own linens and towels.
This is what we did on day 2 of our 6 days was clean and air out.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. It was very roomy and fit our family very well. The location can not be beat. The neighbors were very friendly.

We had a great time for our long weekend stay! Check in was super easy, and communication with owner was quick and efficient. House was close to the pier area and we really enjoyed the front porch- only one chair and a swing which can seat two. We used our bag chairs that we keep in our car too. Overall, great house and we will be returning soon!

Very nice stay for adults and children, house very clean, stocked well for us. The location is very nice, quiet but a short walk to restaurants, shopping, the lighthouse and pier. We walked with small children easily. Love sitting on the front porch swing to wind down at the end of the day or beginning for coffee time. Games and books stocked (all my favorites), No issue for us with hot water, beds comfortable. I recommend it for families and I am sure we will visit again.

Perfect location and short walk to everywhere you want to go. Had all the amnesties of home and the owner was easy to communicate with. Will definitely be coming back to St. Simon Island and this house!!

Great Getaway!
Wonderful girls trip! This adorable home was perfect! It was a very short walk to shopping, restaurants, pier and lighthouse. The location and the home itself were ideal for our needs.

A lovely week
We went to St Simons Island for the first time this Spring break. The cottage was charming and very well located. Everything was very well organised and stress free. Restaurants, ice cream parlor and town are in walking distance. The beach as well although we chose to go to the public beach which was a five minute drive away. Unfortunately the weather was not as warm as we had hoped for but we still managed to search for the spirit trees, bike and visit Jekyll island as well as long walks on the beach. We had a great time and will definitely come again!

Fish Fever Cottage Stay
The property is charming and well laid out for a family. My Mom and I were downstairs and my daughter and two grandsons were upstairs. Ample room for relaxing and game playing. I so enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, pier, pool, playground, and mini-golf with the kids whenever I wanted. Also enjoyed a couple of walking distance restaurants with friends who live locally. All in all it was a wonderful visit and we would love to stay agian.

Great family stay!
Debbie was very helpful & has a beautiful cottage! You can easily walk to the pier village, water park, or the beach, and the public beach access is a quick drive away. We had everything we needed for a home away from home! In planning, I would recommend the pull out sofa for The smaller, lighter ones in your crew. Otherwise, all of the beds are super-comfy! We will definitely come back!!

We really enjoyed the property. It's on a quiet dead-end street and very close to the village and beaches. Plenty of space for our 4 kids as well.

Fantastic location; beautiful and quaint
We have always loved SSI, but thoroughly enjoyed staying on this quaint little lane with the Spanish moss-draped trees and proximity to the village! We did load up the car to drive down to enter the beach via Massengale Park and then further on down the island at Gould's Inlet. There is plenty of room in the cottage to visit, cook, sleep, play games, do laundry, etc. There is no yard per se, but there is a beautiful park nearby if you want to play yard games or toss a football. Loved the swing on the front porch!

Great Location
We had a wonderful stay on Fish Fever Ln. The location to the beach and to the village was ideal. The mattresses on the twin beds upstairs have seen a lot of use, but overall our stay was great.

Home nestled under beautiful live oak trees
We really enjoyed our stay in SSI and loved the location of the home - it’s quick and easy to get to the beach and shops/restaurants in town. Nestled under live oaks, the home is on a quiet side street and comfortably appointed. Debbie and Greg were great hosts!

Quiet and relaxing cottage close to the beach, village ,restaurants,shopping
We stayed at the cottage for Christmas. Debbie had the porch decorated for Christmas before our arrival. We were able to take our own small tree. This cottage is located close to everything. There is everything you need in the kitchen even a few extras like foil and baggies! We had an issue come up and Debbie and her husband quickly resolved it. I highly recommend staying at this cottage. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful cottage at St Simons island!

Great Family Cottage
Debbie was fantastic to work with. The location of the cottage is great. The air conditioner is ice cold. There are 3 full baths and a ½ bath. The kitchen is well equipped. We had an issue with the hot water heater leaking and Debbie got it all taken care of very quickly. It’s not fancy but very comfortable, great for multiple generations.

Close to Everything
If you are a family with young kids or if you are interested in being close to the heart of Saint Simons Island, this is the place to rent. For young families you are a short walk to the beach and are within a 2 to 3 minute drive to 2 other beaches. The walk to the "Village" is only a 5 minute walk. The Cottage can easily sleep 7 - 8. The location is quiet and cozy with a genuine family feel. The owners are easily accessible and have been accommodating in every way they can. You don't want to miss out on this rental. It is well worth the stay.
