About this house rental
Nestled in Kingsland, this attractive house for $570 per night is a great option for your next trip. Large and beautifully appointed 5 bedroom home with 150 feet of waterfront on a peaceful, quiet cove overlooking Lake LBJ. Just under the historic (inactive) train trestle bridge to the main body of Lake LBJ. The cove right off the dock is great for swimming (3-5 feet deep around dock and no wake). Our dock and boat lift are available for your use and boat ramps are nearby. Two kayaks and a stand up paddle board (SUP) included! Home is situated in a private community and at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, while just a few minute drive to the center of Kingsland for groceries and restaurants. Large shaded side yard with giant oak trees is perfect for kids to run around. Enormous covered patios both upstairs and down with views of Lake LBJ, your serene cove, and the beautiful oaks. Outdoor amenities include: * Perfect location for swimming, fishing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the calm smooth waters of the no-wake cove * Easy access to Colorado arm of Lake LBJ just under the train trestle bridge for great boating and wake boarding * 2 kayaks and 1 stand up paddle board * Beautiful, oversized yard with old oak trees and 150 feet of waterfront * Two levels and over 1,000 square feet of covered patios, with propane grill, multiple seating areas, fantastic lake views * Outdoor dining for 8 on upper balcony * Carport and driveway has parking for 6, with room for a boat or additional car in the cul-de-sac. This is an excellent home on Lake LBJ - hands down our favorite of nearly a dozen different homes that we've stayed at there. It's in a perfect location in a quiet cove with little boat traffic, but easy access to the main lake. It's also located at the end of a private road, which makes for a great place for the kids to walk or ride their bikes. The expansive covered patios and carport provide tons of outdoor play and relaxation space. The grandkids loved the swings and jungle gym. The house is clean, well maintained, and well equipped with everything you'll need. As noted in other reviews, the main living spaces are on the second floor, so be prepared if you have young children or family members who find it difficult to navigate stairs. The property owner, Eric, was very responsive to all inquiries, and was gracious enough to accommodate a couple of special requests. We liked this property so much that we're already booking a return visit for next year.

What a perfectly perfect place to spend our family Christmas! The lakehouse is absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed (and more!). Only in Texas can you paddleboard on Christmas Eve!!
We had a lovely time and appreciated the way the home was decorated for Christmas. A bonus we didn't expect! So thank you for that. :)

The house is just as the listing described. It’s absolutely beautiful!
The one thing you need to know is the majority of the living space is up stairs - it makes sense due to the proximity of the house to the lake. If anyone in your party has problems with stairs, this may cause an issue. There is a bedroom, bathroom, and living area downstairs, but any family meals/kitchen time, is going to be upstairs.
Eric is a great host! He contacted me on the morning of our first day to let us know the house was ready. When we got there, I had a question about getting into the boat house and Eric was quick with the response.
All in all, I would say 10 out of 10 - would consider staying here again, (if not traveling with a family member with a slight mobility issue).

Not only is the location ideal, the house has more than enough amenities to make this the perfect vacation! A private boat dock in a calm area if the lake where you can fish, swim, use the provided kayaks or stand up paddle board, or just enjoy the morning sunrise or sunset. The kitchen is well stocked for any level of cooking, and the beds are comfortable. Plenty of space for two families and you don't even feel crowded. This is our second year for us coming to this home and definitely not our last!

Our whole family, ages 14-85 loved the place. Weather was perfect and the oldest of us spent our time on the huge, shady porches watching and enjoying the younger ones in and around the water, swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Would repeat again in a moment. The property location is lovely, among old oak trees with shady porches and pretty views across the cover and out into the lake.
Only comment about maintenance was a couple of lightbulbs that burned out and couldn't replace, and more importantly, the fridge had a leak that left water under the produce drawers which froze and eventually leaked onto the floor. Phoned the property manager but he said he couldn't get to it until after we were gone.

It had 5 bedrooms (one of which had several bunk beds), two full baths, 2 1/2 baths, and an additional shower. Large kitchen with all the basic appliances, cookware, silverware, glassware, dishes, etc. The view of the lake is gorgeous. So peaceful and beautiful. The old bridge/train tracks made for perfect pics. We drove a few miles away and did a light hike at Inks Lake Park. It was a wildflower paradise. I will definitely stay again. Great value!

We were in town for my Sons Wedding in Burnet, so it was a busy few days.

This rental was amazing! It was the perfect place for a large gathering. We stayed during the cold time of year, but the home had an upstairs area that was very cozy and warm. The area easily accommodated 14 people. This central area has a large kitchen, dining area, and living room. Bedrooms and bathrooms surround the central area. Downstairs, the children delighted in have their own bedroom with plentiful bedding (single beds/bunkbeds with a bathroom/shower. There is a lot of outdoor seating for warmer times of the year. The surrounding area is very quiet and beautiful. We hope to return again. Everyone loved it!!

We arrived at the property and were amazed at the scenery. The boat docks made it super easy to get right on the lake and the quiet cove was very peaceful. My family could not stop saying how great a spot it was and how we should do future gathering there again.

The house was spacious and clean, with plenty of room for everyone, and great kid friendly features (booster seats, kid plateware and cutlery, games, floats). The kitchen had everything we needed, and even comes equipped with a single serve Kuerig coffee pot for convenience along with a regular brew type coffee maker. We loved that they had a portable crib along with booster seats, kitchen utensils for kids and baby books. We really had everything we needed and then some!
The beds were very comfortable in the four bedrooms upstairs, and the (6) bunks and single bed down in the bunk room were well laid out. I think this is a perfect property for multiple families to share with a lot of children. Plenty of beds, bathrooms, and play areas to spread out!! With a game table, foosball table downstairs and a TV our teens enjoyed that area too and thanks so much for the mini frig in that area, convenient to the outside patio. You thought of all the conveniences!
The cove is a no wake zone that is just next to the open water, for the boating and jet ski enthusiasts! It also has a boat launch right across the cove from the house, where one of the rental places made delivery of their rentals to. We weren’t up to speed on the rules and regulations to rent a jet ski or boat this year, but next year that is definitely on our list of to do’s!
Our baby girl in the family loved feeding the ducks that visited our dock twice a day and was a big hit also! She enjoyed the baby swing on the play scape in the side yard too. The side yard was perfect for yard games too, nice and shady and level for playing!!
