Nestled in Crescent Beach, this charming house for $425 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. There certainly isn’t a crowd at Ocean Pearl in St. Augustine Beach. With three floors, four bedrooms, and two additional sleeper sofas, this beachfront house can sleep up to thirteen people with ease, making it ideal for a multi-family vacation, a wedding party, or a school reunion. Although the house was recently updated and professionally decorated by the owner, who has an interior-design background, sandy feet, and wet swimsuits are definitely allowed. That’s a good thing, given that in addition to overlooking Crescent Beach—there’s even a private walkway to its white sands—Ocean Pearl has its own in-ground pool. You can catch some ocean waves in the morning, then enjoy a luxurious swim in privacy at night. Perfection! In addition to the roomy patio surrounding the pool, Ocean Pearl has decks spanning the front of the house on both the second and third floors. There you can relish the fresh ocean breeze while enjoying a drink and watch seabirds and surfers alike on the beach; the house is in fact located just off a popular surfing spot, so don’t forget your board. Of course, you can savor the ocean views from inside as well. The open-plan third floor has a wealth of windows as well as a spacious living room with roomy couches (one of which converts to a bed for one) and a 50” HDTV. Adjacent is a dining area and an open kitchen with a breakfast bar. You can serve the kids at the breakfast bar before joining the adults at the dining table—a setup certain to make everyone happy. With its sparkling appliances and gleaming counters, the fully equipped kitchen will make anyone who enjoys cooking happily as well. Ocean Pearl was a great place for a group of friends to celebrate life with. The house has beautiful ocean views and a private walkway to the beach making access easy. Crescent Beach is conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants and shopping.

The view from this house is perfect. The way you can see the ocean from every room is just wonderful. And the proximity to the beach is fabulous. We would stay here again! The house is spacious and comfortable. The floors were a little dirty. They need a good scrubbing. There are some bees nests that need removing in the front porch. And the stairs to the beach have tilted and you have to be very careful going up and especially down. Pull out mattresses are thin so bring an inflatable mattress. But we had a great time! And we can’t wait to go back.

- The outside back of the house is dirty, with bugs and webs in the corners -The AC on the second floor requires attention, as it is not cooling effectively compared to the first floor.- The exterior of the house needs to be pressure cleaning - The steps to the second floor are in need of repair, posing a trip hazard - The dishwasher is not functioning correctly, and other guests have complained about it. - Dishes are not being cleaned properly, requiring manual washing - The description mentions three floors, but the location of the third floor is unclear, leading to confusion - The stairs leading to the beach are improperly angled and should be fixed - A protruding piece of wood on the floor before heading to the beach poses a trip danger, especially for elderly individuals.- Bedrooms shelves are dusty, clothing gets dirty when pulled out. - The refrigerator seal needs replacement, leading to improper cooling and food thawing - Saw cockroaches in bathrooms and kitchen -A whole bunch of other things and no return messages from management Will not be back at this property.

Could be a great rental. But we had soooooo many issues with the property. Owner needs to get things fixed before renting it out. Freezer/ice dispenser was broken, pool jets were broken, pool light was left hanging out of pool, stairs were broken, wifi didn’t work the entire stay (although the rental company did send maintenance and Comcast out several times). We had a contractor there nearly every day trying to fix something. The stairs to the beach are dangerous - they slant down so it is not safe. The blinds in the property let in way too much light. I think this could be a great rental property if the owner/manager bothered to fix items prior to renting the property. Having a contractor/repairman there every day really interferes with our enjoyment. Super disappointing and would not recommend this rental company and property.

This property is in a nice area and within walking distance to a few businesses. We enjoyed the private pool on days the beach was too windy. I did expect the common areas to be a bit larger. The mirrors in the home make it seem much larger. We were a party of 8 plus an infant and it was comfortable. I would consider booking again.

We’ve stayed at this house before. It was in poor condition and not clean. The dishes were dirty probably because the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes. There were a host of problems I tried communicating to the manager via VRBO but only received boiler plate promises of they’ll get with me. It was so bad we found another VRBO to rent for the remainder of our stay and departed this property on Tuesday. I requested a refund and told them we were leaving due to the condition of the house and never heard back. I tried chatting with your team, but they weren’t any help. If I don’t hear back I will challenge the charge with Amex. I believe VRBO should consider not allowing this company to offer vacation rentals on your site. I received one voice message from the rental agent a day after I expressed my displeasure and they said the could send cleaning people out and repairman to address the issues. Those issues should have been addressed prior to our arrival. By the time they finally called we had already booked another. Furthermore when I returned their call I was on hold for nearly an hour and never spoke to a live person. This was a terrible experience.

We had 3 couples in our group, plenty of space for all with great layout. Convenient location between Daytona and St Augustine. Ocean view & access is excellent. Pool is not huge but adequate for us. The reason I only gave 4 stars is all the bedrooms are in need of new mattresses & pillows.

This beach location is very nice. Be warned about the following:
1. You must sign a very lengthy contract to book which essentially says the owner can cancel your reservation at any time; however, their cancelation policy for renters was very restrictive.
2. You will have resort amenity fees, cleaning fees, and damage fees that will raise your nightly fee substantially.
3. The pool needed to be cleaned.
4. The house is not very clean. Given the amount you pay for cleaning, we expect a very clean home. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was the dirt on the door by the door handle. Bad first impression. The carpets and upholstery need cleaning. Bathrooms were in need of touch up painting and the fixtures are quite old. The closet door in one of the bedrooms prevented the door to the room to open. The bed in one room looked like someone had been lying in it when we arrived. The list goes on.
5. The mattresses should be upgraded. Not very high quality.
6. This owner is very out of step with what is happening in the world of short term vacation rentals. No beach towels. Really'? We've stayed in many, many beach rentals and they all provide towels. Again, for the price, they could run to Costco and get some $10 towels! Yes, you have to replace them and wash them. That is what a short term rental does. They provide ONE roll of TP per room. They provide no spices - not even salt and pepper! No olive oil - NOTHING. I was told when I asked that it was for my protection? One tiny bar of mashed up soap in a wrapper in the bathroom. No shampoo. This is a major inconvenience for those of us flying across the country that could easily and cheaply be taken care of by the owner.
Cannot possibly recommend this rental. Look for someone who cares more about the guest experience.

Gorgeous home! A few friends & I booked a last minute weekend stay at this property & had a wonderful time. The weather was less than ideal (very windy, cold, & rainy), but the location made it worth every penny. We had planned on enjoying the beach & visiting nearby downtown St Augustine but instead decided to stay warm, take advantage of the spacious kitchen & living areas, play board games, & just enjoy the view. Would definitely recommend staying here!! We plan to return when the weather improves!

Gorgeous home! A few friends & I booked a last minute weekend stay at this property & had a wonderful time. The weather was less than ideal (very windy, cold, & rainy), but the location made it worth every penny. Perfect house
This house work perfect for celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday. We were able to use the downstairs for all the kids while the upstairs bedroom for the adults. There is plenty of room in the whole house for all of us! The location was perfect. We were only about 15 minutes from historic Saint Augustine and you can’t be being right on the beach! Unfortunately was too cold to enjoy the pool but hopefully next time we would have that opportunity. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

I really enjoyed the location of the house. I didn't enjoy having to wait over an hour to get into the unit because we could not access the lock box and nobody at VRP's knew what to do. The stairs in the home are not "senior" friendly and I had my elderly parents with me. That will be something I will look into more carefully in the future. There weren't enough washclothes (4 for a house that sleeps 8), and there were 2 spoons in the kitchen. My granddaughter was just the right height for a broken ceramic lamp to cut herself, and the coffee pot had a big chip in the glass. There were lots of light bulbs out, an ironing board that wouldn't stand, and little things like that. For the amount of money we spent (to not even get a full week), things should have been much nicer. We did enjoy our time there and I liked the fact that the beach wasn't busy. I will know more of what to look for next time and am quite hesitant about using Vacation Rental Pro's again. I figured they would have offered some sort of compensation for the inconvenience of not being able to get in, but they didn't.

We brought a couple of beach chairs + an umbrella but the house comes with plenty of chairs and other items to take to the beach. We went to the beach everyday that we were there. The pool isn’t huge but it’s exactly what is needed after being in the sun all day long. It’s relaxing and refreshing. I can’t say enough good things about this house! We will be back.

Multigenerational family trip
The house was fabulous , clean and we liked the two levels of sleeping arrangements for those early risers vs late sleepers . Extra refrigerator in the garage was helpful , lots of kitchen equipment except for baking sheets . Coffee maker did not have auto shut off which you rarely find these days . Linens were in short supply for the sofa beds and the 4th bedroom is a bunk room with very limited space . With so many mirrors and glass , windex is a must . We would rent here again but with the size of our family , we really needed a full 4 bedroom with 8 adults .

Overall very good. Pool was considerably smaller than I had hoped. Lot smaller than the picture. Other than that it was a beautiful home with awesome views. Had a blast. Need to figure out a better location for the outside trash bibs though.

Fun with the grandkids
Pros: Spent a week with our grandkids, ages 16 mos to 7 years old. The beach was perfect for all! House size accommodated 6 adults and 4 kids nicely.
Cons: poor diswasher quality, minimal consumables (ie: TP, only 2 tiny bars of soap for 3 bathrooms, no shampoo) When you pay this much you’d think you’d have what a hotel would offer. Not like we are going to hoard them.
Also, need to get stories correct. We were told no beach supplies or toys but there must have been 10 chairs and sand buckets too.

This house is absolutely perfect for vacation. The pictures don’t do it justice. We loved the turtles who live under deck. Being so close to Saint Augustine was great. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay this house is it.

It was not like it we expected! One bedroom was a closet.!
The floor was wet in the kitchen couldn't use the kitchen from Sat until Monday afternoon cost us another $500.-700. going out to eat Sat Night Sunday three meals and Monday Morning thirteen people.The stairs were so bad going to the beach we had a terrible time getting up and down to the beach it was really bad!!! It was not what I expected for the money we paid!!! I really expected they would refund some of our money!!!

Loved the house. Very 80’s decor with lots of mirrors on both levels. Pool is smaller than the pics but we had 5 kids who thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the prettiest beaches we’ve visited!

THE OCEAN PEARL IS OUR FOREVER VACATION HOME!
This was our first stay at the Ocean Pearl. It was beautifully decorated and perfectly placed on the beach, just as advertised. The views from every window and from the top and bottom decks, breathtaking! Far enough away from town so that you have your own private beach, but close enough to great restaurants and a short drive into Historic St. Augustine. We appreciate the beach chairs that were available, it was very convenient. With 6 teenagers, we had plenty of room for everyone and not crowded at all. We stayed 3 nights, but it was not nearly enough! We look forward to our (longer) stay next Spring, and every Spring!
