About this house rental
Nestled in Rockaway Beach, this lovely house for $445 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Step off the deck and into the sand at this beautiful oceanfront beach home in the quiet off-highway Nedonna area, just north of Rockaway Beach and only 90 miles from Portland! Enjoy spectacular sunsets over the ocean from our large picture windows facing the beach and mountains as you relax in our well appointed great room. Play in the sand and enjoy long quiet walks on Nedonna's wide sand beach. The Nehalem Jetty is just steps away and a great place to see seals and a variety of sea birds. Restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away. Our 2480 square foot, two bathroom home can comfortably sleep 8 people: 2 in the large upstairs master suite in a King bed, 2 in the downstairs Queen bedroom, 4 in the bunk beds in the third downstairs bedroom, and we do have a fold-open sofa and futon bed in the great room on the main level as well. The master includes a 42" Flat Panel HD TV & DVD player with YouTube TV, and streaming access in a lovely sitting area, and has its own large private bathroom complete with a shower and clawfoot tub. The downstairs bedrooms have a full bathroom with shower stall for bathing. There is an additional shower stall in the laundry room area as well. One of the nicest features of our home is the large vaulted great room that encompasses the living, dining and kitchen areas. The panoramic view of the ocean, jetty and Neahkahnie Mountain is spectacular! Our large outside deck includes a lovely table and four comfortable chairs, with plenty of room for additional seating if needed. The living area includes a natural stone fireplace, 42' flat panel HD TV with YouTube TV, and streaming access, Blu-Ray DVD Player and comfortable seating for all. The dining area includes a Bluetooth Sound Box, dining table for up to 10, island counter seating for 4, and dimmable lighting. The large, well stocked kitchen includes an oversize center island with electric range, separate oven & microwave, quiet dishwasher, and ample countertops with a double-bowl sink. We also have a Propane Grill available in our garage for use in our driveway. Free Wifi is included and high-speed internet is available throughout the house. Our long driveway can accommodate car and boat trailer combo's if needed, and there's a large grassy front yard for even more fun. The Nedonna neighborhood is perfect for a quiet morning stroll or bike ride--no hills or heavy traffic. Summer or winter, the Oregon Coast is a great family getaway, and there's no better place to enjoy it than our oceanfront home! Pets ( dogs only ) are accepted for $20 per day per pet ( max 2 dogs ). PLEASE NOTE: Pets are only allowed in hardwood and tile floor areas ( out of carpeted bedrooms ) at all times. Minimum age for rental booking is 25. We are a Non-Smoking property. We have 3 exterior video cameras facing away from the house, one on the garage looking toward the driveway, one facing away from the front door, and one above the deck looking toward the beach. Please note that we do require your signature on our Rental Agreement that will be sent to you upon booking, as well as an image of your Drivers License ( DL# can be obscured if needed ) . PLEASE NOTE: Our MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY ON THE PROPERTY IS 8 PEOPLE ( plus 2 daytime only guests ) AT ANY GIVEN TIME. This is a Tillamook County permit rule ( Our Permit #851-12-2350 )....if you violate this rule at any time during your stay, you authorize us to charge an additional $750 fee on your Credit Card on file, and cancel your booking. Our friends and we were SO pleased to be here! The views from the windows allowed us to 'be on the beach' even in the house and the walk to the shore was short and easy and unencumbered. the house itself was wonderful - the kitchen was beautifully appointed and we had everything we could imagine needing for our weekend. We had a GREAT time in a WONDERFUL home! The owner's ceramics added a touch of whimsy and we were so happy to be in this beautiful space! THANK YOU!

We really liked this beach house for our annual family trip. We had family members staying at other locations and our house was where we all had dinner and visited. Sister in law brought a dog over and i said it was ok for him to come in because it's a dog friendly house. I got a notice for a dog fee and a notice stating no more than ten people in the house. I know it says in the listing there are cameras outside of the house and figured it's for checking on damage, but i guess they are watching each visit. It did not settle well with me so i would not go back because of that. If your ok being spied on its a great house to stay.

The place was absolutely beautiful with a wide open living room with tons of windows. back deck is huge with clean composite deck boards and lots of comfy chairs to enjoy amazing sunsets. Upstairs master is enormous.
We made two mistakes. Broke Pete’s glass top patio table and also left a nice Bluetooth speaker behind.
Pete helped us fix both of those problems quickly. He was a responsive and level headed owner. 5 stars for the home, location and service.

Thoroughly enjoyed this home and the accommodations were perfect for 4 adults, grandkids and the dog. Outstanding location with a wall of windows to view the distant ocean, private path to the beach, nice deck, complete kitchen & bathroom supplies, beach supplies, comfortable beds, really a terrific home for relaxing. Location Location. There are stairs up to the kitchen & open living area and a few more stairs to the primary bedroom/bath suite. Guests might bring a box or bags for their personal food storage. Definitely recommend this home.

Excellent user friendly beachfront home at quiet north end of Rockaway Beach. Home is well equipped and prepared for guests. Thorough advice and instructions for using the space. Large king master and dog friendly is combination not always easy to find. Good setup for dogs. Owner is responsive and reasonable. All those 5 star rewiews are spot on.

This is a beautiful, comfortable house in an ideal Oregon coast location. It is fully equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and laundry room. The large living room is comfortable and has wonderful views of the coastal grasses and sea. The beach path makes an easy walk to the water. Our only minor complaints would be that two bathrooms for up to 10 people is not enough, (for six of us, it wasn’t ideal), and maintaining a comfortable temperature between the upper and lower floors was impossible. The two downstairs bedrooms were perpetually cold.

Our family had a wonderful time here -- it's steps away from the ocean and spacious, with lovely views. We appreciated the well-appointed kitchen with plenty of dishes and cooking tools, literally everything we needed. And our nearly 2-year old grandson loved playing with all the sand toys. I've already shared the link with 2 friends!

We couldn't have asked for a better home for our beach vacation. The space fit five adults, two children, and an infant comfortably. Everyone felt like they had their own space. The house was very well stocked, especially the kitchen. With the beach right out our back door, we didn't feel like we had to travel very much. However, the house was conveniently located near several of the popular beach towns. We hope to return again in the future!

I traveled to this home with my parents, sister-in-law, nephew, and grandma — all of us loved our stay! The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you might need during your stay. Our highlight was the afternoons and evenings spent on the outdoor deck. The trail to the beach is incredibly accessible for all ages — and the beach below is so quiet and peaceful compared to others in Oregon. Pete was an excellent host and did an amazing job communicating with our group. We would love to come back someday.

Very large and very well-equipped home. The owner has taken exceptional care in providing more than anyone could expect from wet-weather apparel to boots, games (outdoor and indoor), toiletries, kitchen appliances, etc. There's hardly a thing that's not already provided and the local stores are well-stocked and close, too. The walk to the beach is slightly challenging for the geriatric among us, but easy for most. And the beach is lovely with tons of interesting driftwood and beautiful views. Easy to enjoy.

We had a great time being so close to the ocean (only a 2 min. walk to the beach) and enjoying such a beautiful house. The pictures of the property are spot on and it was one of the most well-stocked kitchens we've experienced with a lot of spices on hand and basics that are a pain to have to buy. Very kid friendly and dog friendly - the bikes and sandcastle building items were great. Cleaners were there right up to the check in time point so we knew it was clean and ready for us to check in. We would definitely return in the future!

We enjoyed staying here with my parents and our 2.5 year old daughter who enjoyed having the beach right outside her back door to hunt for treasures every day! The house had everything you need for a family getaway and so much space. We really enjoyed our stay and will most likely go again!

We had a really nice time at this house. So close to the beach, feels very private, and perfect space for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids. The cleaning crew did a great job. Yes the living room futons/couches are a bit firm, but we did not find them uncomfortable to sit on. We appreciated the sand toys, board games, and access to netflix, etc. My mom had a hard time figuring out the dryer - perhaps some printed instructions would help. Also fyi there is no fume hood for the stovetop, and would have been nice to have some more baking pans. These are picky things, but just trying to give helpful feedback. For what its worth, I have no clue why previous reviewers were complaining about the path to the beach - there's the one off the back deck that is narrow and surrounded by beautiful grasses - we used that one. If you want a wider path just go to the parking lot at the end of the street and you'll see the bigger path. We really enjoyed this place and would stay there again! Thank you!

My only complaint is that the listing doesn’t do the property justice… It’s much bigger and more beautiful than shown in the pictures! The location is amazing, the space is wonderful, the master bedroom is just lovely. Thank you so much for letting us stay there. It is one of the best rentals I have ever stayed in.

This rental is perfect for a quiet escape, which is exactly what my husband, two teenage boys, and I were looking for along the coast. The house is beautifully nestled on a quiet road between mountains and the ocean. It’s everything depicted in the photos and more. Although we were traveling in winter, we enjoyed everything this beach property has to offer; stunning views surrounding the house (especially toward to the beach over the dune grass as seen from the wall of windows from the kitchen and living room), walks along the beach in the morning, roaring fire in the evening, coffee on the back deck, family game night with provided games, and no other sound than the crashing waves in the distance. Heaven.
Property owners Pete and Linda have done an exceptional job thoughtfully preparing their home anticipating every need of their guests. Not only is the house cozy and well stocked with all the necessary amenities, they have a thorough, well-organized, binder detailing important notes about the house, along with great restaurant suggestions up and down the coast. If questions did arise out of the norm, Linda was immediately accessible with a kind and friendly exchange.
We can’t recommend this property enough to anyone looking for relaxation. We’re already talking about when to return. It truly was heaven on earth.

We stayed for two nights in this wonderful property, and really enjoyed the awesome ocean views from the kitchen/dining/great room. The private path through the grass to the sandy beach was great. The rooms and beds were great. The house was clean. Would definitely rent again.
