About this house rental
Situated in Surf City, this charming house for $421 per night is a great option for your next vacation. You deserve a vacation at " LUNA Y SOL BY THE SEA". Wake up to the sound of the crashing waves, smell the salty sea air, & watch the dolphins swim by as you sit on the deck ....take a few steps off of it and get sand between your toes. Walk to town for shopping or to nosh at the awesome restaurants. Cook up a seafood dinner in the fully loaded open air kitchen with induction stove, double ovens and warming drawer. Take an afternoon nap on the couch as you look out thru the wall of glass doors at the blue sea. Retreat to the downstairs 2nd family room for some quiet time. Also perfect for multi-family vacations; space for everyone. The upper level has a wall of glass french doors looking out onto the ocean which is the main living area: kitchen (wash dishes as you watch dolphins!) and dining. The main bedroom is to the left of the main living area (complete with main bath and very large walk in closet) and the other two upstairs bedrooms are to the right of the living area with a bathroom in between them. One of those rooms has a twin over full bunk (sleeps 3 and faces the ocean) and the other room has two separate twin bunks to sleep four. Downstairs is another completely separate full sized living area with a separate entrance off the patio. It has a wet bar, wall to wall stocked library, full bath and family bunk room (queen bed, and a twin over full bunk-- room sleeps 5, as well as a pullout twin sleeper in the family room). Perfect if you're traveling with another family or with multi-generational family members because everybody can find private space when needed, and then gather in the main living area or oceanfront deck when wanting to socialize. What are you waiting for? This is our dream beach house and we would love to share it with you! ***Linens are not provided however, if you don't feel like packing them please contact Sweet Dreams Linen Service on the island. Our cleaning team can also provide sheets at a minimal cost (details upon request). ***Please keep in mind that we only rent Saturday to Saturday after June 15 until the end of August. Thank you.

My husband and kids, mother-in-law, niece and I all stayed here for a week at the beach. We have been to Topsail before and enjoy a lot of things about this particular beach town (the walkability, the simplicity, the nice beach and good waves). This house is RIGHT on the beach, which was wonderful. The view is really spectacular. We spent every morning and evening on the back deck overlooking the ocean, and 2/4 bedrooms have windows that open to the ocean so you could keep them open and hear the waves at night. The house itself has plenty of space and everything you could need for a family with kids of any age like private space for teens, and games and tv for younger kids. Chris and Robert were great hosts. We unfortunately had to bother them over a few things (none of which were huge issues at all), and they were very gracious and helpful in all their communication.
I do think it is helpful to add that there is a step missing at the bottom of the steps to the beach- we navigated it fine but if we’d had other older family members there, it would have been very difficult for them to access the beach. Probably something that is a planned fix already but wanted to give a heads up to anyone with very small kids or anyone with mobility issues.

We had a great stay here, the location was just far enough away from town to avoid the larger crowds but also walkable for dinner. The beach was quiet and the outdoor shower/deck were amazing. The hosts were responsive and helpful. We plan to book this again for next year!

This was a fantastic place to stay. We had 5 adults and a toddler. The main living area was perfect for the toddler to run around without fear of him getting into a bunch of stuff. Tons of kids books, multiple board games, big selection of books and a bunch of beach toys. They even had a pack n play. The deck was new, gate secured to keep the toddler in, and the outdoor shower made coming in from the beach so easy. The kitchen was great and well stocked with everything (pots, pans, etc) we needed to prepare multiple types of meals. Plenty of cleaning supplies for dishes/counters. There was a new grill as well. It was so nice to be right on the beach and just walk down whenever. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The whole property was wonderful and great for a family with kids. It is quiet on either side of the house. The beach area was not busy at all (week before Memorial Day). Would highly recommend this stay!

Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay. The house is beautiful and watching the sunrise every morning from the deck was breathtaking. The owners were fantastic. They made the entire process from booking to checkin so easy. They thought of everything. Although we didn’t cook while we were there, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. We can’t wait to stay here again for our next beach vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us

The house looked just like the pictures. We had 8 adults (4 couples) and we all had plenty of space. The kitchen is amazing - plenty of dishes, glasses, gadgets, bowls. Beautiful modern fridge. The deck is fantastic. We spent most of our time out there watching the beach, if we weren’t on it. We lucked out with perfect weather. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. They decorated that house with a good eye and a lot of care. 5 star experience! Thank you!

What a fabulous week in TopSail our family had! We can't thank Chris and Rob enough for making the process so easy and for exceeding our expectations with this property. This home fit our our family of 12 perfectly.

My wife and I spent a week here with our two kids and two nephews. It was absolutely perfect for our needs, especially the lower level living area. The kids used this space in the evening to play games and hang out.
Communication with the owners was the best I have experienced. They were very kind and responsive to any questions we had.
The location was perfect and it was so nice being able to just trek down the small staircase to the beach. Being close to downtown Surf City was nice as well when needing to go out for dinner or groceries.
Cleanliness was spot on as well. You can clearly see the pride in ownership. Everything was in perfect working order and cleaner than many other homes we have visited.
Overall, I’d like to keep this little gem to ourselves for future bookings, but I could not recommend this home more. You won’t be disappointed with the experience!

We've planned family vacations in different beach houses on Topsail Island/Surf City for 35 years. This home stands out as one of our favorites. It is bright and comfortable, has many amenities, and a great location! Chris and Robert were wonderful hosts!

Perfect house and location for a mom and daughter trip. Can’t beat the location, Right on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and bars. Outdoor shower was a wonderful plus. Plenty of space for our party of 8. The deck was great and the view from the living room was amazing. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you needed, but be aware that during our stay the ice maker was broken ( Chris informed me that they are waiting on a part ) so we just bought some ice-no big deal. Also be aware that you will need to download an app to access the door lock, have your phone charged and ready. Overall we had a great stay and would love to rent again.

This home and location is even better then the photos. The owners worked with our weird needs and made check-in and out super simple. We are already discussing booking the same home next year. I would not hesitate when booking, as we were thankful we booked a June trip in February! This gem goes quickly.

We had a fun filled stay with family and friends. The accommodations were perfect and safe for our toddlers and close enough to the beach to feel comfortable during nap time. They had everything from kids plates to books and games too.

We had a group of 9 (kids and adults), and this house fit us perfectly. With room to spare. The bunk room was perfect for our older kids, the kitchen was terrific (had everything you need), and the views and location can’t be beat. We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon! :)

Our stay at Chris’s house was wonderful. The check in process was quick and easy and communication was superb. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There are lots of beds and a basement area that is perfect for kids and or teens. The views of the ocean can not be beat and we loved watching the dolphins right off the back deck. The newly added steps from the deck make getting to the beck quick and easy. Even for my 93 year old grandmother.

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend and the house was PERFECT!!!! We had such a blast and loved being right by the ocean plus further from the public accesses so the beach wasn’t super crowded in front of us!! The owners were easy to communicate with and super helpful! I would definitely stay here again!!

We had a wonderful time during our recent visit. The house was just as described, very comfortable with every amenity you could need. Beach access was perfect and the weather could not have been better. We will be looking to stay in this same home next year and hopefully for many years to come.

We have been vacationing on Topsail for 35 years. All of our trips have been great and this property was no different. One plus overall was the location and that view from the view from the deck was the best we have ever had. Another plus was the fact that it is Topsail Island. If you have never been here I would venture to say you will come back. These owners were fantastic to deal with. When you rent on vacation there always are some minor issues and they deal with them immediately. Thanks for a great trip Robert and Chris.

Communication with owners was phenomenal. Photos of the house match exactly to what you get. Location is unreal. Open lots on either side give you plenty of space and no noisy neighbors. We stayed during the hottest week of the year and the Air Conditioning throughout the house was outstanding. The house is super comfortable and functions great. Beds are all comfortable. Outdoor deck is working 25 yards of the ocean. Just an all around great place that exceeded our expectations.

The past 10 years we have been coming to vacation in the Topsail area. Our group is made up of 2 families, 9 people all together (4 adults, 5 kids/teens). This house had plenty of room for everyone! The downstairs living space was fantastic for giving the kids a space to play games and watch TV, allowing the adults to relax in the main level enjoying the spectacular view. The convenience of walking out the door and being on the beach with-in steps made beach life with kids so easy. The house is perfectly located within walking distance to many of the local attractions in Surf City. Chris and Robert were great to rent from, they responded quickly anytime we had questions/concerns. We highly recommend this property. As one of our teens said, “ this is the best house we’ve stayed in so far!”

This property changed hands shortly before we had our trip. The house is beautiful and location is awesome. It was amazing. A couple days after returning home, we received a message from the owner blaming us for things around the house that we didn’t do. I did report one thing that we had noticed while we were there, but apparently that was our fault too. It seems as though they are looking for things to file a claim on you for. Just be careful! Take pictures of everything when you arrive and when you leave! If you notice something wrong, tell them immediately or it will come back to you !

This house will be at the top of our list for future trips. Great house...great location, you can't go wrong! The Hosts made the check-in process a breeze. The only thing to do is enjoy the ocean views!

Great location! Family trip made amazing by the beach front location of this property. Very clean, well appointed. The stairs to the lower level were a little challenging for my older parents but otherwise perfect.

We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely rent again. The owner was great to work with. The place was clean and not far from restaurants & shopping. We only left the place 1 time as we just enjoyed the beach and the wonderful deck on the back. Highly recommend.
