In this area are art galleries and museums. Throughout the year festivals and fairs are held on Neptune Park in the Village. The island has lots to do for the entire family. There are miles of bike and running trails around the island, fishing piers, a new skate board park and three nature trails. Nearby is the historic Jekyll Island with cottages of the rich and famous, golf courses, a water park, and horse back riding, Cumberland Island is south of the island, reached by ferry.
