The house was just as nice as the pictures made it out to look. It is indeed a short walk to the town square, and the Compound Restaurant. The beds were comfortable, the linens were nice. The host was very responsive with our questions. We really enjoyed our time there!

We had a terrific stay at this property over the Christmas holidays. Location could not be better and home was very comfortable. Leslie was a very responsive landlady. One teeny weeny suggestion - it would be good to get a space heater for the master bathroom during the winter. It was very chilly.

This was a truly lovely house in a nice neighborhood. It just could use a few more details: A scuff mat at the front door, a couple of extra blankets, a little more tableware (juice glasses, plates and bowls and silverware) for a group of six, a few more large towels, curtains for the garage bedroom, queen bedroom TV cabinet not good as bedroom bureau.

Palace Gem is perfect! It is truly a gem! It is beautiful, updated, clean and has a great yard! It is now our favorite rental in Santa Fe!! Richard is such a wonderful, host, too!
We hope to stay many more times in Palace Gem!

Aptly named, Palace Gem is a spacious, clean, and cozy home. It is conveniently located to downtown attractions. Highly recommend!

House is beautiful, comfortable, nicely furnished. Would rate 5 stars but for small details... like no napkins in kitchen, 1/2 roll of paper towels (no extras), no kleenex in master bath, beautiful laundry room but no soap or softener, old mismatched towels in bathrooms. For a luxury house AND A LUXURY PRICE the little details matter. When traveling to a fully furnished house, the first trip out shouldn't be to purchase kleenex and napkins. Also strange that we never heard one word from the owner or the leasing agent while we were there. On the whole a great house and would rent again.

We were a group of 4 friends spending a long weekend in Santa Fe. We loved the house. The rooms were really spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood was lovely, but residential. We ended up driving to various locations more than we had anticipated, but it was alright as parking was not a problem. We made use of the well-equipped kitchen for breakfasts and one dinner. We enjoyed the games and puzzles that were available after a day of sightseeing. It was great and we would all recommend the house.

Stayed for almost 2 weeks at Palace Gem and was incredibly happy with the stay! I had read all the fantastic reviews, but was still surprised when it was all true! Great location; lovely hosts; wonderful interior. Only downside is there is not a lot of room for large cars, and if you have an electric car you need to park in the very front since the electric outlet is on the porch. Overall, a fantastic property and we will be back!!

Great place to stay. Could have used some more hangars tissues and an iron for three ladies, but other than that a nice place to stay.

This location is amazing. Easy access to everything, with or with out a car. Simple check in and out. Super cozy, quiet and lovely in every way.

This gorgeous and beautifully-maintained house had everything for our 3-generation family vacation. We cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, ate dinner on the beautiful outdoor porch, walked the few minutes to central Santa Fe and to Canyon Road for museums, shops, a cold iced tea at the Teahouse, and, after the longer days of excursions and hikes, slept peacefully at night in the quiet bedrooms. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, the owners were kind and available. It was a wonderful place of respite and I hope we can return.

An intensive search of Santa Fe listings a couple of months before our trip turned up only this property to suit our particular needs: two adult couples and an independent fifth person with easy accessibility to downtown and the plaza. What could be better than three bedrooms with good isolation, three patios (one with a gas grill, two excellent bathrooms, a kitchen with first-rate appliances, and very good laundry facilities? Santa Fe's Governor's Palace and the Indian Market are just over a half mile right down PALACE Avenue.
With a large 7-passenger SUV, the entrance and driveway were intimidating, but East Palace Avenue is a surprisingly quiet street, and turning the big vehicle around was merely an exercise in use of a backup camera.
Small kitchen appliances, dishes, and cutlery combinations are unique to any rental. Coffee was covered in spades here, with TWO French presses, an espresso unit, and a conventional 12-cup maker. Electric kettle for the tea drinkers. The stove, exhaust system, and refrigerator are high-end Jenn Air. Microwave and toaster (oven) were inscrutable (classic?), but our youngest member kind of figured them out. Any ordinary toaster would be a good addition. Knife, cooking pan, and silverware selection is good. Tableware is dominated by a curious heavy black dish set, apparently somewhat chip-prone. Worked, though. We could have used one or two more conventional cereal bowls.
All five of us will look back with affection at our stay at Palace Gem.

This place was great! 4 friends stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate milestone birthdays and we could not have had more fun. Great restaurants really close (we walked almost everywhere). Great hiking, and the art scene was mind-blowing. Would do (will do) it again!

The house is quaint and jade tons of charm. Rooms were far enough apart to give everyone space while the main room was inclusive and open. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was top notch. Richard was extremely responsive from the start. We’re already planning our next trip.

Wonderful location. Property was lovely and well appointed. Contributed largely to a lovely Christmas family reunion since we could walk to all the sights but also enjoy cozy time together staying in

We stayed with our family of 6 over Thanksgiving 2022. This home was perfect in every way. Beds were comfortable and the checkin process was easy. When we had a question, management was readily available. We come to Santa Fe often and we will be back.

We couldn’t be happier with the location and property. Walking distance to the plaza. When we head back to Santa Fe we’ll look to see if it’s available.

This property is even better than the pictures. Located in a quiet neighborhood close to Plaza and Canyon Road, this house offered everything we needed for our get together with family. Large kitchen with top of line appliances, lots of outdoor seating and a beautifully decorated home.

Palace Gem did not disappoint! The property was perfectly located within walking distance to downtown Santa Fe and the art district on Canyon Road. The house was spacious and clean. Although we did not cook, the appliance were modern and cleary well taken care of. We enjoyed staying in the master bedroom and utilized the beautiful fireplace at night. Both bathrooms were clean and well appointed. We Will definitely be back!

We recently stayed at this beautiful property. It was in a perfect location with easy walking to the Canyon Road district and Old Santa Fe. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Paloma, great jazz music at Club Legato and a tasty lunch at The Teahouse. Loved being able to walk everywhere and feel safe. There were four of us and this was the first time we traveled together and we all agreed that this particular lodging was a perfect fit for us with the two well appointed bathrooms and three bedrooms. We took advantage of the beautiful kitchen and outdoor dining area. We would return and highly recommend for others interested in a place with a great location to so much, a quiet neighborhood, and cozy accommodations.

The house is clean, warm and inviting. The beds and bedding are excellent and very comfortable. The appliances are top-rate and the house is very well stocked. The fenced yard with three porches made it very enjoyable to spend time outdoors, while the location, within easy walking distance of the Plaza, couldn't be better. Above all, Richard, the property manager was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. This is the best of many VRBO properties I've ever rented, and I intend to return. Thank you.

Spacious home in an excellent location. Arrived late from a delayed flight, would’ve appreciated some coffee for the first morning.

This house was everything we could have asked for and more! Great location, beautifully decorated, and very clean. It’s even better than in pictures! The only thing that would make it better is by having curtains that aren’t sheer in the primary bathroom.

LOVED Palace Gem!
This beautiful home exceeded our expectations! It has been restored to offer all the modern conveniences we desire (great kitchen, baths, reliable internet…) while maintaining its historic charm. The outdoor spaces are comfortable and secluded with a privacy fence, fruit trees, gas grill and outdoor dining table/chairs. The home is within easy walking distance to The Plaza, and we felt very safe, even while walking at night. In addition to a wonderful home, Richard was the best property manager we have ever encountered while renting on VRBO. He, his company, and even the home owner are so responsive, accommodating, professional, and friendly. We were so pleased with our experience and will definitely return to Palace Gem!

This home is well located in proximity to everything you will want to see and do in Santa Fe. It is well appointed with high quality appliances, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of closet and draw space. The garden is a lovely place to relax after walking all day. We were very pleased with our choice in this rental. (We were four 50+ women on a girls getaway.)

Cozy, light filled, nicely appointed, comfie beds, plenty of room for gathering as well as finding a corner to read. Outdoor spaces with private backyard are tough to find on the east side, so appreciated the layout! Convenient location esp to downtown plaza area. Discovered 2 great cafes: Root 66/Jack’s Magic Bakery and Jambo . Highly recommend both. Santa Fe never fails to please and Palace Gem is a wonderful rental that we would return to!
