Situated in Sanibel Island, this attractive house for $835 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Great location! An amazing house with stunning views! Located in the heart of Captiva Island, only a short stroll from restaurants and shopping, this five bedroom, four bathroom pool home is the perfect spot for an amazing vacation. Walk into the living area furnished with a large sectional couch with table, comfortable chairs and a flat screen TV. The second living space has a couch, two comfortable chairs and a large wall-mounted flat screen TV. The open kitchen features granite countertops, updated appliances and plenty of storage, utensils, plates, cookware and glassware. The dining room has a large table with seating for 8. Sliding glass doors open out to a large enclosed lanai that is air-conditioned. The lanai contains a couch and two comfortable chairs and a dining table for six. There are beautiful views of the large heated salt water pool and Bay from the lanai. There is one bedroom on the living area level with a king size bed and its own porch and bathroom. The upstairs third floor features two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed, private bathroom and a sweeping porch with views of the Bay. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, bunk beds, and a private bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. The lower level has two bedrooms, living room with sleeper sofa and kitchenette. The first bedroom has a king bed and access to the new large bathroom with custom tiled shower and vanity with dual sinks. The second bedroom has two twin beds and shares the large lower level bathroom. Doors from the first level living room lead to the patio and caged salt water pool. Attached to the pool is a large tiled hot tub that will comfortably hold 8 people. The top level of the home has an amazing roof top deck, plenty of seating and stunning views. Swim in the heated salt water pool, watch the stars from the rooftop deck, shop in the village, stroll to the nearby restaurants, or use the wagon loaded with beach chairs and umbrellas to enjoy at the beautiful beach at the end of the street. A year ago our family, 2 parents, 3 kids, 2 spouses and 2 young grandkids decided to take a family vacation. We ultimately decided on trying Captiva and we were not disappointed. The house had plenty of room for the 9 of us to be comfortable. The location couldn’t be beat, 5 minute walk to the or into town. I would recommend this house for a great family vacation.

Property has an excellent location and was perfect for our family of 11 to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Pool and hot tub were fantastic! Also really enjoyed the rooftop deck. The ping pong table and "bags" games in the garage were bonus features. We ran out of propane our last night and mgmt was very responsive. Would def stay here again!

I cant say enough nice things about this place, Hakuna Matata. It was magical. What really grabbed my attention was the thoughtfulness of the home owners. They kindess was noticed in all the small things. Thank you! You allowed for a magical time for my family to bond. And really what is more important? God bless.

This house was lovely and had everything we needed! The pool was so nice and covered so we didnt get eaten alive by insects. A short walk to the beach was a super plus! The management company was super helpful with small things here and there and super available to answer any questions. I recommend this without hesitation!

We were scheduled to be in the Murmond property, but they switched us out a week prior to our arrival. So unfortunately it appears I'm being asked to rate a property that we ultimately did NOT stay in! This property was apparently having some hurricane damage repairs the week we had planned. But the rental company had told me months before that it had already been repaired and was good to go.

We had an amazing time in the beautiful home that was very well stocked. Captain Brain was amazing and the fishing and sight seeing was a highlight of the trip .I only wish that more of us in the party could have enjoyed it. The only drawback on the house is that I wish part of the deck was covered and screened in because it was hot and the bugs were awful. We would 100% revisit Captiva and stay in Hakuna Matada again !

The house was in a perfect location, and we rented a 6-passenger golf cart from Salty Wheels (call Patrick) which was wonderful to get around Captiva in. The house suited our family perfect. It was not a "magazine cover" home but extremely functional for families. We would definitely stay in this home again.

Captivia- small slice of heaven in Florida
The rental should have updated photos taken to give a better idea of the condition of the property. The house was perfect for 10 people, it is laid out a little weird, but plenty of room for all of us. The house could use some refreshing with indoor furniture and patio furniture.
The location was perfect and very close to the beach. The pool was very refreshing in the afternoon heat. We did have some minor issues while staying at the property but the rental company was quick to work with us to help resolve the issues. Like many of the previous posts, we had issues with the hot tube not working. It would filter and pump the water but it did not heat up. Not a major issue for us since the daily temp was around 90. But it still would have been nice to have.

we enjoyed the stay and the roominess of the home let all of us do our things throughout the day without being on top of each other. The pools and hot tub could have been cleaned a little bit better. with the extra rain we got while we were there, they were a little cloudy. Location was a plus and made trips to the beach, stores and restaurants a plus. Enjoyed by all!

None of the little things that we found impacted our stay or the fun we had at the house and we found that issues raised in previous reviews from a month or two persisted. While the management company did notify us - the day of our arrival - that the roof hot tub was not working properly it should be noted that this problem was mentioned in a review from July. So it’s a bit disingenuous when the repair person who came on Monday stated that is was “done” and needed to be removed. But then again - it’s a hot tub on the roof - that’s not why we went to Captiva.
Otherwise, minor - handyman fixable - things like shower doors that didn’t stay closed, bleach stains on the stairs, and rugs that could use a refresh were a little bit of a letdown, but again - nothing major.
In all the house was roomy, the elevator was a major plus, it was incredibly clean, and just a quick walk to the beach. Hopefully the management company will take these reviews - not as criticism - but as suggestions on how to improve the property.
We would certainly rent from them again, but maybe spend a little more for a more updated house.

Restful trip
we enjoyed the stay and the roominess of the home let all of us do our things throughout the day without being on top of each other. Seemed like an OK place that once held a rental unit, now sort of reconverted to a single residence but fairly inconveniently - had to navigate a small, spiral staircase or go thru the garage to access two of the bedrooms. Lots of unresolved/deferred maintenance issues. One bathroom shower wasn't functional, there were no "hot" tubs when two were advertised (heaters didn't work - so pool temp tub and ambient temperature tub); pool filter malfunctioned (although the response to the call for help was timely); massive leak in sunroom during daily thunderstorms; shower enclosure that wouldn't stay closed; non-functioning exhaust fan in bathroom; REALLY DIRTY carpet in one bedroom. Dishwasher top rack falls off if you pull it out to load/unload it. It's just a bit tired and rundown and, for the cost, we expected a bit more. On the plus side, it was quite roomy with multiple gathering places and comfortable couches. The elevator was a nice plus as we unloaded baby stuff.

What a unique and fun house! We rent a house each year and take our kids and grandkids on a spring break trip. This house was so special. Each family had its own floor of the house for privacy, and the spacious common areas were perfect for meals, games and chatting. The roof top deck with hot tub was a hit, and we practically lived in the pool each day. The ping-pong and billiards tables were also fun. We loved walking to shops, restaurants and the beach. All were within minutes. We adore Captiva Island and can’t wait to come back.

A wonderful family gathering place
Very spacious and functional home with multiple gathering spots. Especially appreciated the pool and hot tubs, laundry room, extra refrigerator and freezer in the garage. Great location near restaurants, bay, beach. Felt very private despite being near the main road. Rooftop patio perfect for birding, watching the sun rise and set.

Lovely Captiva
The Murmond property is perfectly located. We walked to the beach and the village restaurants and shops everyday. The spacious heated pool and spa were perfect for relaxing or for water games with active boys. The living spaces were comfortable with room to work on jigsaw puzzles or just come together. There was more than enough space for everybody. When there were the inevitable problems, management was responsive and took care of things. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property.

Wonderful property and location.
We rented Christmas week and had 3 daughters, 2 son's in law and 4 grandchildren stay with us for the week. There was plenty of room available and the children loved the pool, hot tub and short walk to beach. Home was clean and well furnished. One comment is that the kitchen cook ware and utensils were old and not in good shape. Many utensils we needed and a large stock pot were not available. We are a family that cooks a lot so had to improvise and go out and buy a few things. That said it did not take anything away from our stay and we would go back again.

Great house with so much room!
We enjoyed our stay and the house worked perfectly for our group of 5 couples! Management was very responsive when we tripped a breaker and needed help to reset. We spent a lot of time at the pool since the weather was a little cooler and it was great. Rooftop deck was also a big hit!

Big beautiful house
Overall a very nice property. Very helpful to have an elevator as we had someone who wanted to come in in a wheelchair. The exterior doors in the downstairs apartment and the balcony doors in the top floor don’t stay closed well which lets the heat in. Kind of confusing layout..like a maze getting around. The main floor bedroom stays very warm even when rest of house is cool. Very nice kitchen. Two people in our group ran into the glass doors heading out to patio...so we put stickers on so that it didn’t happen again! Overall a really nice place for a large family gathering!

Perfect location
Loved how this property was less than 5 minute walk to the beach and a short walk to the fun restaurants too! House was huge w plenty of places to hang out. My favorite was the roof top for sunset! The wagon was helpful for carrying gear to the beach! Downstairs bedroom was warm- air conditioner not great in that room but i heard that will be worked on.

Perfect getaway for the four generations of our family to come together. We had the house for two weeks with family coming and going at different times. The house was very spacious to sneak away if need be. Close to the beach and downtown Captiva. We had perfect weather with the exception of one cooler and overcast day but then we just had a billiards tournament on the pool table in the garage! Plenty to do on Captiva, we did the kayak tour of the Mangroves, took in the Crab Races, went shelling out to Cayo Costa and frequented the many great eateries within walking distance. Will definitely be back.

I along with 8 other ladies rented the home for 4 days. We had the most wonderful 4 days in the home. It was spacious and very very clean. It had everything you needed. The pool and the jacuzzi were exceptional. They had information regarding everything there was to do in Captiva. The pictures that are on the site are true to form. If not better. There were noodles for the pool, beach towels. The beds were very comfortable. We would recommend this home to anyone.

Feb/March two week stay. Nice, convenient large home.
Plenty of room for our large multi-family group. House design a little unusual but very accommodating. Convenient to restaurants, library, beach. Second week (1st week in March) got a little chilly at times and occasional red tide cough but would recommend the home.

perfect location
House was as advertised, clean , spacious. Porch was our hangout, pool was perfect temperature. Upstairs deck beautiful in the evening. Bedrooms downstairs less desirable than upstairs. One upstairs bedroom only accessible through another or by elevator, but workable. Just a few blocks to beach and main drag of captiva town.
