We so enjoyed our experience at this lovely cottage on Brookside! Close enough to the wedding festivities in Sonoma but a blissful retreat, complete with comfortable beds, fully-stocked kitchen, and clean, clean, clean! We will return!

Jim’s home is a perfect home for a weekend in wine country. The home is quaint, very clean, and equipped with everything you need. Jim was very easy to communicate with, provided great directions to ensure our arrival was seemless, and had a bottle of chilled Chardonnay in the frig for us to enjoy. I recommend this home for one or two couples looking for a quite weekend in Sonoma.

Great stay in a quiet neighborhood

We had a great week long stay here in Sept 2019. The house was clean, exactly as pictured on the listing, and the hosts were great! One of our group accidentally locked himself out one night and our hosts were great and got him back in! Hosts were consistent with communication throughout. Neighborhood is quiet but very close to some excellent restaurants. And if you are a runner like one of our group, the area is safe and easy to navigate. Also, you are right in the middle of wine country and only a 11-15 dollar uber ride to Sonoma town square. Beds were comfortable and all expected amenities were provided. Overall a great stay and we would stay here again.

The clean freak in me thoroughly appreciated the spotless condition of the house when I arrived. This home is very comfortable, casually appointed, well maintained, and very quiet. This was the perfect place to recharge and relax for several days.

We had a wonderful stay at the Brookside Cottage. We stayed for a week with our one year-old daughter. The house was perfect for us and in a great location - close to everything you would want to do in Sonoma and Glen Ellen. It's on a quiet street and really has that charming cottage feel. Jim and his wife were great. Thanks for everything!

Incredibly charming and comfortable wine country cottage in idyllic setting. Tremendous location - on a quiet street but close to everything you need and want in this area. There were four of us and the space accommodated all of our needs. Hosts were charming and welcoming - with a bottle of local wine and fruit and vegetables from their garden. I give it my highest recommendation!

Wonderful property and tranquil getaway!

We just finished our amazing stay at this great house! It's been remodeled from top to bottom and sits on a quiet street in Sonoma Valley close to lots of legendary wineries. Jim was a great host and gave us wine passports, which we used to do some complementary wine tastings. We used the big BBQ in the huge back yard to cook up some great summer food. Jim was even nice enough to stop by with some fresh vegetables hand-picked from his garden. This was one of the most relaxing long-weekends I've had in a while and I left refreshed and rested. The house had speedy wi-fi, cable tv and a well-appointed kitchen with all the essentials. We'll definitely be coming back.

Charming Cottage in the Heart of Sonoma!

Our friend came into town and wanted a Sonoma/Napa getaway with our friends and our dog. We found this lovely cottage and it turned out to be perfect! The home is really cute and charming and even lovelier in person. We felt very at home here, everything was so well kept & clean and beautiful. The backyard deck and outdoor space is great, there's a lot of space back there and great for entertaining and BBQing. Jim and his wife were really welcoming! They even left us some wine and freshly picked vegetables from their garden. We'd love to stay again soon -- it's the perfect weekend getaway to enjoy wine country with friends!

Lovely respite!

After a mini reunion with friends in the North Bay, my husband, our dog and I escaped to this gem in the Sonoma Valley...Brookside Cottage was exactly what we needed! It was charming, very well appointed and clean - the pictures don't do justice to this adorable home! We reveled in the peace and quiet, especially given it was over the 4th of July. The owner is accommodating and delightful, enabling us to have a wonderful few day getaway from life and the city. We slept like logs! We've already booked our August escape with Jim, and cannot wait! Thank you, thank you!

We rented this house for the full month of July, and it was perfect! The house is beautiful and very clean, and the owners did a great job providing us with exactly what we needed. The backyard was bigger than I expected, which contained a great deck and grilling area. Another plus was the location, minutes away from Sonoma Golf Club.. I would highly recommend this house to anyone! 5 Stars!

Excellent in every way!

Best cottage in Sonoma. Small but perfect. 2BR, 1BA, great big yard and deck, Jim Duncan the owner and his wife couldn't be nicer. If you don't need a big place but are looking for the perfect cozy Sonoma cottage, it doesn't get any better. The furnishings and finishings are top quality, it's close to town and yet close to Kenwood and Glen Ellen as well. Jim even hand delivered two excellent bottles of wine to your door.
