Located in Yachats, this lovely house for $250 per night is a great option for your next trip. If you truly want the view, Ocean Bay Cottage is your spot. This great little cabin with southern exposure and a big deck is situated with perfect views of the ocean, and mouth of the Yachats River. Relax on the deck while enjoying the sunrise/sunset. Views change every six hours because you're sitting right at the tide line. At low tide you will see life unfold before you on the beach, including resident eagles, herons, and seals. At high tide the same view will provide breaking waves as well as the migration of hump back whales during the spring and fall months. This CLASSIC beach cabin has two bedrooms and one bath. Amenities include a fully furnished kitchen, ocean view living room and dining room, HDTV/ DVD Player, Wifi, FM tuner with iPod cable. Be sure to check out our latest addition: a recently added mural painted by Oregon muralist Corie Hinton. It is a visual treat waiting for you when you open the kitchen door. Ocean Bay Cottage is right in town so you can walk everywhere, including at least four different eateries that are less than three blocks away, as well as groceries, fun shops and the Yachats Commons. The Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center is right next to the grocery store, so stop in for a chat about local attractions. The Yachats area is plentiful with scenic areas and hiking trails to enjoy.

Was a great view of the ocean and a good location to be able to walk to town. The bedroom carpets need steam cleaning. The light was dim in the living room even with using the extra lamps, we struggled to see puzzle pieces. If you have a vehicle please know that we had a small pickup & I could only fit it in the tiny parking spot after dropping the passenger off in the street first then squishing to one side so that I could barely get out after parking. I don't think a full size PU would fit & there's no other parking. Has a nice deck out front.

because the fewer people know about this gem, the more availability for me! This is hands down my favorite house on the coast for a romantic getaway with my husband. This was our 4th or 5th trip to Ocean Bay and we can't wait to come back. The view is spectacular and the house cozy and comfy with everything we need.

We made a trip to Yachats to watch the eclipse. Unfortunately the Oregon weather didn’t cooperate; however, all was not lost. Our stay here was very relaxing and a great getaway. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Plus it was walking distance to everything in town.

The view was incredible. Just a short walk to restaurants and stores. The 804 trail is right outside the door. People were so friendly. Perfect place for a peaceful quiet vacation.

While being quite dated (as openly admitted in the listing), this property is comfortable and provides everything one needs. The great ocean/river mouth view supplies ever-changing views of wildlife and the magnificence of the ocean.

This little house was just as advertised and was nice for our group of three. The views over the ocean and the river are awesome and there is convenient access to the beach, tide pools, and walking paths as well as all the little shops and restaurants in Yachats (all within a couple of blocks). There was some problem with the Wi-Fi and Cable but the property manager was super helpful and very responsive in getting it fixed. The deck looks new and would have been a great place to sit out (if it hadn't been for all the hail storms we had!) Overall a great little cottage-- we'll be returning soon!

We took turns laying in the long seat by the window, watching the river and waves of the bay. Kitchen had all the tools we needed, but there are several great restaurants in the area too.

Our visit was during a winter storm and this house was great for storm watching. There was a lot going on in the river channel- waves, floating logs, seagulls, and a bald eagle. This cozy home was perfect for the 2 of us and kept us snug and safe.

We enjoyed our stay at this property with a good ocean view. My wife enjoyed watching some playful harbor seals when the water was up in the estuary. The only minor downside was that the neighbor’s front decks on each side are very close to the front deck of the property. We prefer more privacy and quiet—which was not possible with such close proximity. But all in all, it is a great place to stay.

This place is literally everything I hoped it would be. An unbeatable view, super easy access to the water / rocks / beach. Very comfy couch and bed (though I was glad I brought my own pillow). Kitchen suitable for small meals. Walkable to everything you need in Yachats. I hope to come back and bring my family next time!

Everything you need and plenty of charm in a little two bedroom beach cottage. Kitchen a bit small but functional. Lovely views from the comfy living room and dining room. A spacious deck that overlooks the beach. Really comfortable beds and pillows.

Well equipped, comfortable, and absolutely the best location! No matter what the weather we loved having the gorgeous view from both indoor and outdoor spaces. Loved the access to the 804 trail and the restaurants and shops right from the cottage. We definitely hope to return!

We loved our stay, the location was perfect. Incredible views and easy walking to shops and restaurants. The house is small and cozy, no bells and whistles, but it has a pretty well stocked kitchen (no dishwasher but we had planned simple meals), fantastic ocean views from the living room, and comfortable (if a bit small) bedrooms. We’ve already booked another stay this summer!
