About this house rental
Located in Rodanthe, this lovely house for $350 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. KACEE'S RETREAT IS A SATURDAY RENTAL KACEE'S is perfect for larger families or groups! Just steps from the ocean, it features 3 decks, a six person hot tub, outdoor shower with hot and cold water, charcoal grill, fish cleaning table, wireless internet, off street parking, and much more. The 1st floor, with 2 bedrooms connected by a full bath, is perfect for children. Each bedroom has a pyramid bunk and a 32" flat screen TV. There are floor fans in both bedrooms. The 1st floor also has a beverage cooler and extra ice maker in the hall. The 2nd floor features 2 queen bedrooms connected by a full bath, and a master bedroom with a king bed and a full bath. All three bedrooms have 32" flat screen TVs. The bedrooms on this floor have ceiling fans and all of the bedrooms feature large closets. We supply bed linens which will be left on each bed for you. The washer, dryer, and an extra refrigerator are also located on the 2nd floor. An ironing board and iron are stored in the hall closet. On the top floor, you'll find the living area with a big screen Roku TV. The large dining table seats 8 with additional seating for 4 at the bar. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and storage, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, and toaster oven. It's well stocked with a coffee maker, Keurig, electric can opener, blender, crock pot, hand mixer, electric griddle, 2 sets of dishes, and plenty of pots and pans. The half bath is also located on this floor. The top deck, opening off the dining/living area, has a table and chairs for 4 and 2 lounges. If you're an early riser, have your morning coffee and watch the gorgeous sunrise over the ocean. Relax in the evening and watch the reflection of the setting sun on the water and the moon rise. Most days you can see dolphins and the brown pelicans are usually out diving for fish. The hot tub is located on the lower deck, with access from 2 of the bedrooms, including the master bedroom. This deck also offers an unobstructed view of the ocean. Just across Rt. 12, within walking distance, is a convenience store and a very nice little surf shop that offers surf lessons. The major grocery store on the island, Food Lion, is about 17 miles south in Avon.

Over all it was exactly as listed. Semi-oceanfront home with nice views and plenty of room for multiple families. We enjoyed our stay for the week. Would stay again. Although FYI house is now brown and not the green in the pictures. At first we thought we had the wrong home!

Perfect gem in Rodanthe. Can’t beat the location or the view. House was in perfect shape. Even our dog gets excited when we turn down the street. This is our go to vacation home.

We had such a fabulous stay. The weather was great and the house was very comfortable with lots of room for our big family of 6! We loved the decks and hot tub was relaxing. The dog hair could have been cleaned up a little better but overall cleanliness was great! Beds were very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This house was a great little get away. The pen for the dogs was an amazing find! It definitely helped with the rainy days where it would’ve been a pain to walk the dogs. The area itself had a lot of things closed, which was expected for it not being “in season”, so we had to travel about 25 miles in either direction for town fun.
The short walk to the beach was excellent! Fair warning that the kitchen/living area is on the tippy top level which was probably my mistake not reading the layout.. so if you have someone with difficulty with stairs keep this in mind. Also there is no garbage disposal so be careful so you don’t clog the sink! Over all I really enjoyed our week. The beds were SO COMFY which is always a plus!! Can’t go wrong with a good beach house on the beach that allows dogs!

Mary was so nice and had excellent communication through the booking process. She gives detailed instructions and tips. The property was so beautiful. We had a great view of the ocean. The dog run for this home is AWESOME. It was so nice not to have to go out in the rain to let our pups potty. The home is more than well equipped. In fact, it had 2 refigerators, a wine cooler and an ice maker. Super cool. Hot tub looked inviting but we didn’t use due to the cold weather. We saw porpoises popping out of the water on one of the days there. I really enjoyed listening to the sounds of the waves each night. I really appreciated that each of the rooms had different mattress styles. My husband was a big fan of the master but I enjoyed the memory mattress in one of the guest bedrooms more so I made a switch mid trip. We walked over to the convenience store just across the way several times for snacks. There was even a Filipino food truck there during the weekdays. Yummy! Kacee’s Retreat certainly offers something for everyone. Don’t hesitate to book this one!

Not an issue for us as we cooked most nights and appreciated being away from the crowds at more populous Outer Banks towns. Overall it was a great stay and we’d highly recommend it to others (especially if you have a dog!).

Location was fabulous. We had an age group from 2yrs-83yrs old and this house was perfect for all. The kItchen was well stocked with all the needed necessities. The owners provided great info of surrounding area prior to checkin and were very responsive to any of our questions.

We had such a great week. The ocean and beach views were wonderful from both decks and the beach access was near by. The built in safety gates and second fridge were very handy to have. The home was nice and clean and the check in and out process was easy and went smoothly. I now have a new favorite house to stay in for future our vacations in Rodanthe.

We enjoyed our Xmas week at this great location! Watched sunrise with coffee on the porch and sunset in the hot tub each evening! Great location to beach, easy to get to sightseeing locations and our pets enjoyed the porches/dog run. Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Great Fall Beach Getaway!
We had such a wonderful time here. We love the house and its location and the views from the decks, access to the hot tub, extra fridge and ice machine, having the gas station and convenience store so close, great fishing opportunities nearby, a sweet little playground for our daughter to play at a stones throw away, decent restaurants within an easy driving distance and a quick walk to the beach.
Mary was lovely to work with through the entire process. We’ve been coming to the Outer Banks for a very long time, and it’s always been our preference to try a new property and explore a new town, but after staying here, we’ve already rebooked for next year!
We’re already counting the days until our family can return to Rodanthe and Kacee’s Retreat!

Lovely home, owners thought of everything and then some. Upper deck was perfect, great outdoor furniture, pet friendly, nice touch with the icemaker downstairs, overall we could not have picked a better place to stay. Thank you Dan and Mary for sharing your home!

Vacay 2021
The house was great for the six of us. Nice and close to the beach. Upstairs deck was great to see the sunrise in the mornings. A pantry to store all your food and two refrigerators.
There were some areas that needed dusting and the next door property left their big spot lights on all night which shined into the master bedroom but that was pretty minor problems.
The owners were very responsive with any questions I had. We would rent it again.

Beautiful views and upper deck. Owners communication was excellent and house is well designed for pets. Would have liked a bit mire care in cleanliness of floors and grill.
Some upgrades that would make a big difference would be mattresses and shower fixtures. Overall though enjoyed the stay

Absolutely the perfect place for our stay. Without a doubt one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Location and view are great. House was clean and in perfect condition. The owner, Mary, was very responsive to any questions we had. House is very dog friendly. Plenty of gates to keep the dog secure. Was perfect for our family group of ten. If I keep using the word perfect, well that’s because it was.
