Situated in Cambria, this lovely house for $288 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Birds Eye View is high up on Park Hill with beautiful views through the pines to the ocean, Moonstone Beach and out to Piedras Blancas Lighthouse. 3 blocks walking distance to Moonstone Beach , Shamel Park , Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and a 20 minute walk to downtown it's in a perfect location for family travel. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms downstairs (queen beds) , fully stocked kitchen , dining room, living room , full bathroom on the main floor and a loft upstairs with 2 twin beds, this home comfortably sleeps 6 guests. Enjoy the wildlife and glass of wine from three private balconies. DOG friendly (2 dog max) with small back yard fenced in dog run and dog accessories such as gate , bowls and paw buster. This home is equipped with Smart Tv / Netflix / Amazon Fire Stick in the Living Room and Smart Tv in the Master Bedroom. Wifi , printer , landline (cell service in Cambria can sometimes be difficult) and bedroom desks make it a perfect place to vacation or work remotely. This rental also offers 3 bikes that are available for guest use! When you're ready to venture out and explore the beautiful Central Coast you will have many options close by. Hearst Castle and Hearst Winery, perched above the San Simeon Cove are a 10 minute drive up the coast. The famed Paso Robles wine country is a quick 25 minute drive east. Visit the town of Harmony for a fun experience and the best ice cream. Charming San Luis Obispo is a 40 minute drive south and Big Sur heading north is relatively close by. Cambria is the perfect starting off point for countless adventures.

This is our 3rd or 4th stay at Bird's Eye and it has always been great.Appreciate the strong wifi for those of us who had to do a little work. Only thing I would ask is for 6 seats in the living room and on the deck. Otherwise, this is a perfect location and very affordable.

Great place for a week of remote work…and some play! We enjoyed the sea breeze, afternoon sunshine and views. The bathrooms are a bit dated, yet fitting for a beach home. We did have to ventilate the place when we first arrived due to an old area rug that made the place smell bad. The managers were very responsive and dealt with it right away. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and we’d do it again soon!

Gorgeous home walking distance to the water. This is a tri level home, two downstairs masters, main floor had living room/kitchen/ third bathroom, upstairs had a loft area overlooking kitchen with two twin beds. Enclosed back yard area for pets.

We were looking for a short family get away to Cambria and nearby Paso Robles and this home was in the perfect location, including views of the beach and mountains. Space was very nicely maintained, we had everything we needed, including plush towels. The welcome wine bottle was a super nice touch! I would recommend this place - good value and staff really helpful.

There were positives and negatives about this rental. It is a nice home in a nice neighborhood, but we would not choose this property again.
Pros:
- Home is in a nice neighborhood and only a few minutes from Moonstone Beach.
- The home was clean and overall cozy/comfortable. The beds are decent.
- The property is considered pet friendly.
Cons:
- When we booked this stay we chose a property that was pet friendly. We indicated “yes”’we were bringing pets. There was not an option to specify number of pets. We brought our 3 well traveled dogs who have stayed in hotels and vacation home rentals all over. Literally 2 minutes after after entering the property we received a call from the property management company stating the neighbors called the owners to complain we had 3 dogs on the property and only 2 are permitted. They said this would be an extra charge on top of the pet fees and extra cleaning fee already paid. We agreed to pay the extra charge even though the pet fees already paid seem sufficient. They ended up charging more to my card for this than they quoted. This did not make it feel nearly as “pet friendly” as many places we have stayed and it was disturbing to feel we were being watched that closely to get a call within 2 minutes of arriving.
- One of the advantages of a home rental instead of hotels is the ability to cook. This property has plenty of cooking utensils/plates/glasses etc, but there was only 1/2 paper towel roll, an empty foil roll and an empty ziploc bag box. So there was nothing to save leftovers and also no condiments at all. We had to go and purchase these things in addition to soap pumps for the bathrooms since all they provide is hotel like sample size wrapped soap bars.
- The house descriptions makes it sound like the bedrooms are on the first floor and a loft for 2nd story. Due to traveling with elderly parents, was looking for bedrooms on a first floor. Turns out this is tri level and the bedrooms are “downstairs” not on the main level.
- We were told at check-in that there is a landline as cell phones may not get good reception. We got little to no cell service in the home. This should be included in the description.
- The bathrooms are outdated compared to rest of house, showers are very small and the sink faucets in all of the bathroom spray everywhere even if barely on. The water also takes a very long time to get warm.
Overall, not worth the high cost for us again.

The accommodations and view were great. BUT - we went on a hot/humid weekend. It is normal for a home in Cambria not to have air conditioning, but this home also did not have any ceiling fans or standing fans. We were all miserable the whole weekend. I suggest the owners replace the main room chandelier with a ceiling fan and provide standing fans in each bedroom.

This is one of the nicest properties we've stayed in in our travels in CA and elsewhere. Comfortable beds, clean, spacious, well-equipped, beautiful views, quiet. We come from a very busy city, so the quiet was especially appreciated. It's also easy to get from this property to major tourist attractions, like the elephant seals, to hiking on the many trails in Cambria, and to the town proper for grocery shopping, restaurants, and window shopping. Check-in easy. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed yet another fine stay at this house, Bird's Eye View, in late April/early May. We enjoyed the view during meals from near the top of Park Hill. I enjoyed walking our dog all over the hill and into the open space (Fiscalini Ranch Preserve.) Comfortable, pleasant. Might like a few better place to sit and read other than the living room.

Great house for our family get-together and celebration of two birthdays.
Great location, near all the places we wanted to visit. House was very comfortable for two couples and our grandchild (age 9) who loved the loft where she slept with her dog every night. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to make meals (when we weren't going out to great restaurants). Loved walking around the neighborhood and going to Moonstone Beach and Fiscalini Reserve. Our first time to Cambria and we loved it!!

Beautiful, comfortable, and great location
Perfect property. Comfortable, beautiful views, and absolutely perfect location. We walked to the beach every day, and were also able to easily walk into downtown Cambria for food, coffee, and shopping. They also included a bottle of wine when we checked in which was a nice gesture. The only thing I will note is that we were forced to cut our trip a day short due to an incoming storm, and the property manager was adamant that they do not refund for weather. I get that it was our choice to leave a day early, but it would have been nice to have that night refunded since it would have been too unsafe for us to drive the next day in the storm so we had no choice.

This is a really nice property! It’s a perfect set up for a family. The loft was great for the kids. The house was well outfit and set up for guests. We cooked every meal in the kitchen. It was well set up in the town had a nice little market to be able to get some good quality provisions. The view of the sunset was a bonus out over the ocean.

This comfortable home in Cambria has a wonderful location very close to the beach. It also has a lovely ocean view which we enjoyed each day! The owners were nice enough to leave two bicycles in the garage. We hope to return sometime soon. The locals are super nice people.
