Situated in Dollar Point, this attractive house for $547 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. **DOGS CONSIDERED** This exquisite executive retreat is everything a vacation rental home in Tahoe should be. Enter on the mid-level through a mudroom, which opens to the stairwell landing. Several steps up opens into a grand living room, dining room, and kitchen. Spacious floorplan with White Oak hardwood floors and rich wood accents. Plenty of entertaining space with dining table for 8-10, granite kitchen island with 4 stools, buffet bar, stainless appliances and drawer pulls, Professional Series Frigidaire range, oven, refrigerator, and all of the conveniences of your home kitchen. Living room made comfy with gas fireplace, 55 inch flatscreen HDTV with BluRay, love seat, chair and couch. Sliding door leads out to side deck with gas grill and outdoor dining table (both available in summer only). 1/2 bath off kitchen. Great room opens to sunroom with sofa and lounge chair, doggie bed and card or cocktail table plus games and puzzles. Upstairs master bedroom with King, small walk-in closet, flatscreen HDTV, and door out to private deck. Granite countertops, twin sinks, glass shower with pebble floor, and Kohler soaking tub. Downstairs, second master bedroom with CA King and two huge mirrored closets which reflect the abundance of natural light from a multitude of windows! Whitewashed pine ceiling with open rafters, Flatscreen HDTV, windowseat and a twin size fold out bed. Twin sinks with marble counters, glassblock wall trim, glass shower with pebble floor. Double French doors open to second sunroom with sofa, chair, HDTV with DVD player and more puzzles and games. Hardwood hallway floor leads to three more bedrooms and two bathrooms plus laundry room. Both full bathrooms downstairs with iridescent metallic glass tile accent wrapping the room, marble counters and showertub. First bedroom on the right with Double bed, wood panel wall. Back bedroom with Queen bed, mirrored closet, lots of windows and natural light. Third bedroom off hallway with double bed, cool colors, vanity. Door off hallway leads to back steps outside and newly installed hot tub! Accommodating up to 10 people, this dog-friendly home has enough room to relax as a group, and never feel crowded. 2 car garage makes parking a breeze. House was great for our large family. However, I was told by the management office that I would receive a text when the home became available (cleaned and inspected by your staff). We booked that house because my daughter lives directly across the street. She saw the Hauserman inspector leaving the home after the cleaning crew, at 3:00pm. No one notified me. When I called the office to ask for the code since the house was empty and cleaned, I was told by the office staff that the cleaning crew would send the text (they were long gone). So I was disappointed that what you advertise on your web site was NOT what we experienced.

Plenty of space for a large family. 5 bedrooms, 4 baths make for a very livable space. Great kitchen/dining/living open floor plan upstairs. Nice quiet sitting spaces off the living and downstairs bedrooms to get some quiet time to read a book.

The refrigerator and the microwave both did not work. We called right away and they kept telling us it was normal for a fridge not to work for the 1st 24 hours??? Our food spoiled, my daughter got food poisoning and was sick for 2 our of our 5 days. The bedding and towels had stains and crumbs and hair. The carpets smelled like dog pee. The management company kept telling us that the problems were not problems and then told us they couldn't solve the issues even though they knew that there were issues. SO, basically, they ignored our concerns, knowingly allowed us to get food poisoning and then told us they just can't get a fridge or good cleaning crews. If that is the case, they need to not rent the property. It is totally unacceptable to knowingly put peoples health in danger and to also cost them hundreds of doallrs in wasted food.

The house was a really great size, but it really needs some TLC outside. The railings were coming apart and you could see nails. It was a bit wobbly near the hot tub. The cushions on the outside chairs were falling apart. The chairs are very comfortable but the cushions need to be replaced. We had a great time.

This rental was the 4th Christmas in Tahoe for our extended family. The rental amount for Highland Lodge was twice what I have paid for the 2 previous Tahoe rentals of almost identical size therefore I expected a higher level of quality in furnishings, kitchen equipment, bedding and above all cleanliness. I requested an early check in but was told that there were renters leaving the morning of our arrival and the cleaning staff would need time to clean and Covid cleaning protocols are in place. Unfortunately the cleaning was not what it should have been.When we checked in at 4pm it was apparent that there was very little cleaning that had been done. The area rug in the upstairs living room had been vacuumed, kitchen counters & sink appeared clean and bathroom sinks look clean.TV remotes for each TV were filthy, dust and cobwebs throughout, coffee table was wobbly, hardwood floors and bedroom rugs very dirty, hair & debris in silverware drawer, cookware worn out, we had to slam the microwave door to get it to work, drips down front of stove, hood exhaust fans caked with grease, stair handrails not connected to wall on one end, shower doors filthy, bed pillows completely flat, mattresses worn out, previous renters underwear & socks in dresser drawer, used bandaid found on upstairs master bedroom floor, hair in bathtubs, small couch in downstairs master bedroom disgustingly stained.We had a loss of hot water and the property management/repair staff were extremely polite, responsive and sent a repairman within an hour to resolve the problem.While the property it self is great for large groups until the cleaning issues and upgrades in beds and furnishings are addressed I would not recommend this property. To be fair I sent an email to the property management detailing with photos the issues we encountered to afford them the opportunity to check the property themselves and correct things. I requested a refund of the cleaning fee and was granted the ref

Love, love, love the location of the lodge! Just a few minutes away from the beach, shopping area and restaurants. Convenient that the lodge had several bathrooms and two master bedrooms!! Loved the openness of the kitchen. A few dust bunnies here and there and outside patio by the hot tub needed some sweeping but overall very happy with its cleanliness.

First, let me apologize for this belated review. After returning to Oregon, I found out my sister was dying of breast cancer so have been with her the last 3 weeks. I would normally give my review within a week of departure. Originally, we were all so happy to find a house that was comfortable for the 8 of us. We've rented in Tahoe every year for 51 years. We've gone from renting a 2 br/1bth A-frame to lakefronts on West Shore & Incline. Initial pictures convinced us this place would be perfect. 5BR/4bthPros-Location, furniture, bedsCons-on arrival, fridge was not working properly. The after hours number was called and were told someone would call. No call so we were planning to go to my cousins place at Chambers Landing for back up. Then small Fridge was delivered unannounced & we were told main fridge would be fixed. Did not happen. Lights over sink continually blink, cannot close windows over sink because handles broken. 1 in. of dish soap provided, only 2 kitchen trash bags. We ended up buying soap, trash bags, kleenex, Bathrooms-downstairs single bath toilet runs after each flush, handle loose, most of the baths rugs should be thrown away (shredded & dirty) Interior windows were dirty, many cobwebs. No kleenex in Bathrooms, no extra light bulbs found. My husband & I have 2 vacations rentals in Sunriver, Oregon. WE have a manager that checks on them after housekeeping leaves so that they are in top shape before the next renters checkin.But even after this negative review; if these issues were dealt with, we all agreed it is a great rental house for the 8 of us.Regards, Paddy Hueneke Salem, Or.

The home has lots of space and was in a great location. We had friends staying with us for our daughter’s wedding in Tahoe City. The house has plenty of room and the kitchen was perfect! The only drawback is the noise is pretty bad downstairs (bedrooms) when people are walking around upstairs. Not a huge problem but worth mentioning if that sort of thing bothers you.

The Highlands Lodge was a perfect winter ski lease (and pandemic escape!). Very spacious for three families and a dog, big kitchen for some apres-ski feasts and hot tub to relax. We very much enjoyed the two sun rooms, to relax but also for work-from-home. Cross country skiing and winter walks close by. Great house, great memories! Big thank also at Kerry and everyone at Hauserman!

There is a constant buzzing/motor running sound downstairs which kept us awake and you can hear every footstep from upstairs. The noises upstairs are heard loudly downstairs.
Nice house but we didn't sleep. Paid a lot since it was a holiday but do not feel it was worth it for our family. Be prepared for the noise and bring your own cleaning wipes.
