Nestled in Saugatuck, this attractive condo for $250 per night is a great option for your next trip. We have two separate lovely, private condo-style suites with views of Lake Kalamazoo (Saugatuck's Harbor) and Coughlin Park in Saugatuck's downtown Historic District, steps away from premier shopping, dining and boating opportunities. This listing is for Suite #1 (Amani Suite) which is located on the main floor at the back of the Amazwi Contemporary Art gallery building. See Listing # 40745 for information on Suite #2 (Ndoto Suite) which is on the second floor above the gallery. The suites are located near the Saugatuck Center for the Arts where entertainment options range from live theater and music performances to workshops for the budding artist, and weekly Farmers' Market in the Summer. Stroll through town to the hand-cranked Chain Ferry that crosses the Kalamazoo River, then walk or take the Inter-Urban bus to world-renowned Oval Beach. Art Lovers: during your stay, guests of Amazwi Suites enjoy a 10% discount on purchases at the Amazwi gallery, offering original fine art paintings, sculpture, jewelry and unique crafts from Africa. 2-night minimum stay required, except for the three big holiday weekends of Summer (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) when 3 nights are required.

This was a very cozy apartment, just steps from the river and the whole downtown area. Well equipped kitchen. The apartment could have used more lighting, and the tub grout needs some TLC. Great mattress and linens, and would certainly stay again!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Amazwi Gallery Peace suite. The location was perfect for shopping downtown Saugatuck and the water view was the cherry on top! Can’t wait to return.

Everything as advertised, well, better than that! Great location. The rooms were very clean and wonderfully decorated. Full size appliances. All the comforts. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Private patio for your wine and cheese in the evening. River view. Walking distance to everything, including Duck Alley, our new favorite restaurant. Thanks Wally for a great stay!!

The cottage was wonderfully clean and perfectly located. It was extremely quiet despite being at street level. We loved the jetted tub, and the climate controls worked perfectly. We also loved having our coffee on the little porch every morning. Literally steps away from everything Saugatuck has to offer. We will be back next year!

Great location. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The suite was very clean, but could use a little updating. The bathtub was hard to get in and out of. Overall it was a very relaxing getaway. Nice sitting area outside was enjoyable.

This was the perfect place for a friend and I to get away from the business of the city and just relax. We've been to Saugatuck many times before, and it was a treat to stay right in town. The check-in couldn't have been easier, the place was clean and comfortable, the host was very easy to communicate with, and we had a great time. Would highly recommend.

This is our second time in another property owned by Wally. It was a wonderful experience this time too! The location is perfect, water views from the living room as you drink your morning coffee. The space is clean, updated and comfortable. The kitchen provides everything you need and there are thoughtful touches everywhere. Wally is a great host! We will definitely be back. I typically like to experience other properties, but this is perfect!

What a gem of a place! Very clean and cozy. Very comfortable for two people. Quiet street and gorgeous view of the lake. Wally was a great host, super easy to get checked in and out and he was very responsive. Had a great weekend in Saugatuck!

Location - amazing - we were attending an event at the park & Fine Arts Center, so we were literally steps away. Town is easily navigable on foot; once parked, didn’t get in the car again until we went home. Cleanliness - impeccable - felt very clean, but didn’t feel or smell sterile or “bleachy”. Furnishings - comfortable furniture & bed, ample space, placement, well appointed kitchen, soft linens/towels. Communication - wonderful - hosts were so friendly and easy to work with. Decor - gorgeous - artwork from the owner’s gallery adorns the walls, creating warmth and tastefulness-African art is so vibrant & hopeful! We enjoyed our stay immensely- we hope to be back soon! This suite is perfectly located in Saugatuck - we didn't need our car once. Parking was easy and the place was clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic in-town location directly across the street from the park with a beautiful, private deck. Great host and rental unit. The only negative is that the bed in the main bedroom is a queen (not king) and is a bit soft for my particular taste. Have already rented here twice and plan to return in the future!

We had a fantastic time in Saugatuck, and this was the perfect place to stay. We came for our first anniversary and this was the ideal place for the two of us. Right at the edge of downtown so plenty of things to do within walking distance and the place itself was very pretty. Would absolutely stay again!

Very clean, great location, comfortable beds. Traveled with my niece for a short stay and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the pull out sofa bed was. Very easy check in, plenty of towels and necessary things. Had no problem with parking.
