About this condo rental
Located in Estero Island, this lovely condo for $216 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Welcome to our Ft. Myers Beach Retreat! We hope you and your family will enjoy our beautifully decorated, first floor location directly on the beach. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo includes NEW stainless kitchen appliances in 2019, Lazy Boy Queen leather sleeper couch, Lazy Boy recliner. Soft seats on the dining chairs add comfort. We also have a great comfortable leather chair with ottoman , 4 beach towels, sun umbrella, beach chairs, and a fully furnished kitchen installed with granite counters in 2018. We just installed a brand new AC unit. Great output!! The master bedroom has a Serta Pillow Top king bed, lots of drawer space, and connects to a private full bath, a large walk-in closet, and the screened lanai. One can choose to watch a favorite TV show on the Large Flat Screen TV from the bed along with watching the magnificent sunset over the water with Sanibel Island in the background. The private lanai also connects to the living room and is equipped to accommodate family dinners or just relaxing on the couchto watch the kids play on the grassy lawn, the sand, or the ocean. The guest/children’s/grandma room is equipped with comfortable twin beds and lots of drawer and closet space and is comfortably located to access the second full bath easily. Free high speed wireless internet is right in our condo to use with your personal computer, and other devices or there is free use of a computer/internet in the office . There are 3 Sony Bravia Flat Screen TV's and 3 DVD’s. A large DVD library is ALSO in our unit for all family ages. New interior doors were installed along with all new stainless appliances and garbage disposal this year..... so updating continues to offer the best we can for our unit. Smugglers Cove has been voted the Best Condo Complex on the Ft. Myers Beach for 15 years straight. All new construction of pavers, new railings and screens along with new outside walls and paint have been implimented. It would be hard to beat the mid island location and amenities that come with your visit. Smugglers Cove boasts a very large heated swimming pool, new putting green, and shuffleboard courts and as well as lots of tiki huts and trees for your shade enjoyment near the water. There is plenty of grassy areas to throw balls or relax on the provided loungers. The complex also has gas grills with a picnic area, an extremely large clean modern laundry facility and community rooms to use for large groups/parties . A major grocery store (not just a quick stop) is just 3 blocks away…an easy walk or drive. The island trolley costs 75 cents and runs all day for your enjoyment of the shopping, the restaurants, the public golf course, or the night life. Close by you’ll find fishing and boat, jet ski and moped rentals. A great Pirate Ship also docks nearby for a wonderful adventure for the little ones! Spring training for the Boston Red Socks and the Minnesota Twins is also in close proximity._ ALL TAXES, ASSOC. FEES AND CLEANING FEES ARE DETAILED OUT IN PRICE! NO HIDDEN FEES!!

Great location!
Great location and facilities! Amazing views. Condo was clean. Beds comfortable. Could use some fresh pillows. A little surprised how many broken items, we called on a few of them which Nesbits were very quick to respond and took care of. Not what you want on vacation, to wait for repairmen to come. We didn’t mention the torn screen in the master window. So couldn’t open to listen to ocean. Also lanai table and two of the chairs are broken. Would definitely go back because I’m sure these things will be taken care of!

We love Smugglers cove condos.
The location is fantastic! Over all it was a great Condo. The remodel kitchen was nice. We couldn’t get the ice maker to work. Could be we just didn’t know how. The fan in the bathroom was a mess and dripped on you when sitting on the toilet. Small things that didn’t effect our wonderful stay.

Good Get-a-way
It is a Beachfront Condo. Very cute. The Condo Property has an older community but everyone is extremely friendly. The Elevator smells. I know the owners can not control that so I apologize but that was tough. I was glad we were on the first floor so I could use the stairs. Kitchen, living area, patio was all fabulous. Spare room with 2 beds was comfortable. I was in the Master and I was prepared to switch. Do not get me wrong, Master is great as well; but the pillows were much better in the spare. Bath.... Neither were disgusting in any way but I can tell you that the cleaning person (who is Super nice) misses a lot. Great water pressure. Master Bath Fan sounds is loud but again, nothing that was the end of the world, just a little extra attention could be used. The Master Closet has stuff for people to use on the beach which was great. I went to use the umbrella but it was broke, so I purchased a new one and left for the guest. With all said and done, it is a great place. It is Beachfront, you do not go to the beach to be inside :)

The condo is located near a grocery store, not far from restaurants and shopping near the Pier. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai with morning coffee and laying on the beach! Lots of very nice restaurants great food and seating near the water!

Great location, could be cleaner and easier to check in...
This is our third annual trip to Fort Myers Beach and second time staying at Smuggler's Cove. We LOVE the condo building - the pool is great and the location couldn't be better. We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo - the edges of the floor were grimy like they hadn't been cleaned in a while, and when my husband lost something in the couch we pulled it out and it was DISGUSTING! The condo says it can accommodate 6 people and has the pull-out couch as a sleeping option, but it was unmade and covered in crumbs, food wrappers, and an old pacifier. Under the couch was so sticky and disgusting when we lifted it up that it must not have been cleaned in months. I wrote the owner about this issue and they did apologize, but it definitely made me feel gross about staying in a condo where a sleeping area had that level of neglect... made me think the rest of it might not be that clean either :(
My other complaint is about the check-in process. The property is managed by an outside vacation rental company, which is totally fine except it was a hassle to check in. We had to drive about 5 min past the condo to go pick up the check-in information from the property manager's office, only to discover that we didn't even need a key to enter, just a keycode. We really wish this code had just been e-mailed to us. Our flight was delayed several hours so we didn't get to the area until around 8:30 pm, and driving past the condo, figuring out where the property manager office was in the strip mall, unlocking the after hours lockbox, and then driving BACK to the condo with just a keycode was just an unnecessary hassle that was added on to our already hectic travel day.
The condo did have plenty of towels, kitchen cookware, dishes, and utensils, and little extra things like hand soap that were very convenient and useful during our stay. The wifi worked well and there was cable TV for my son to watch in the mornings. All in all it was a nice visit, we just wish things had been cleaned better.

Once again just perfect
This is our 3rd tome staying here, and once again it was wonderfully. Perfect mid-island location. Private beach, beautiful outside area, l. Also fully stocked kitchen, nice balcony area, and the AC works great!

Conveniently located steps from the white sands. A quiet beach, out of the crowds, but close to town. Ample parking. On-site laundry. Nice sized pool. Short drive to the grocery store. The condo had everything our family needed, including comfortable beds. Would highly recommend.

Urine stained, smelly blankets ... master bed so uncomfortable - ended up sleeping in twin beds in 2nd bedroom. Kitchen cabinet interiors - crumby & dirty - did not cook a meal there! Unit needs serious updates!

Disappointed
We always choose a premier provider and this was a huge disappointment this time. The master bath curtain was so covered in mildew we did not shower in there. The exhaust fans in both baths sound like a dirt bike running but do not work at all, need to have door open or everything is wet. Fixtures are so old and hard to work. Lighting is bad all over with switches that do nothing. Lamp in master on one side did not work so 1 lamp in room. Same in other bedroom. It got quite chilly so turned furnace on one night, place covered in thick dust. Furnace filter has not been changed in years, so filthy. Everything had a gummy feeling on handles. How is this a premiere partner provider? The location is perfect, the beach is great and the complex is very nice. Would stay in another unit perhaps. Felt very lucky that the construction is just south of this complex. It is a convenient place to be able to walk or short ride to everything. We enjoyed our stay despite the unit being disappointing but would rather pay more for a better standard. Did not feel like spending my time calling for repairs or maintenance while on vacation.

Condo is decorated very cute, well stocked. Ants in main bedroom and bathroom. We put down Terro ant traps and sprayed but ants remained. Since it was very dark when we arrived, we had a difficult time finding the condo even though we had the address. We got out , walked, found Bldg. B. More directions needed. We had a great time — loved the screened in lanai.

Paradise on the Gulf
The condo had a beach theme, leather furnishings in the dining area and living room, comfortable beds, an amazing view from the master and lanai, and everything we could possibly need. Beach chairs, umbrellas, dishes, pots and pans, ceiling fans, blenders, coffee makers etc. Steps to the beach and pool. Outdoor grills and tiki huts for shade. We had an amazing week!

FMB Treasure
It's easy to see why Smuggler's Cove has been a Fort Myers Beach favorite for 15 years. The mid-island location is perfect! The condo is a short drive or trolley ride away from shopping and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy a secluded beach. The amenities are excellent and the property is well maintained. It was the perfect week away from the bustle of everyday life. A wonderful week on the beach!
