Situated in Parksville, this charming house for $172 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Gorgeous Oceanview townhome style condo at Tanglewood resort in Parksville, British Columbia, located immediately beside the beach access to Rathtrevor Beach (only approx. 35 steps to the beach from the condo) which boasts the WARMEST OCEAN WATER NORTH OF CALIFORNIA (the region is known as “Canada’s Riviera”). Our 1200 sq. ft. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus sofa bed condo on the second floor (top floor) enjoys an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and two private decks (one on the roof) that take full advantage of the stunning ocean and beach views. The unit features a large kitchen with all the amenities of home, full size washer and dryer, and complete linen sets and beach towels available for your use. There is also a locked storage crawl space in the parking area that you can use to store your bikes and other beach items during your stay. There are several skim boards, inflatable toys and other plastic beach toys etc. located in this storage area. Tanglewood resort is a waterfront beach level recreational development on a sandy beach adjacent to Rathtrevor Provincial Park (British Columbia’s most popular provincial campground) with 5 km of the nicest soft, warm sandy level beach on the east coast of Vancouver Island. One of the Best Beaches for Family Fun in Canada! – Beachcomb for hours in the Warm Soft Sand and Tidal Pools. The provincial park has wonderful ocean front and forested walking and biking trails. Had a wonderful 8 days in #8 - Tanglewood. Host was great, very response. Lovely large unit with nice water views from main rooms, and both decks. As it was just the 2 of us we primarily used just the main floor deck Tanglewood is in a great location, with 2 really restaurants only a short walk away, and only a 5 minute drive to town for shopping etc. We'll be back !!!

We had a really enjoyable two-month stay at Steve and Lonnie's condo in Tanglewood. It's a spacious place with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable--pretty much like home from home. I especially appreciated the large windows with their spectacular sea views, and the upper deck for outdoor meals. Steve and Lonnie were very attentive to their guests and responded to any concerns we had quickly. In short, we loved every moment and would very happily stay here again.

Some of the decor and interior is dated and many of the beach items are broken, but to us, those are minor things that did not impact our enjoyment of the property. The owners were receptive to feedback and were readily available when we encountered one little hiccough with the front door. Beach views are great and the upper patio is a wonderful place for an afternoon nap!

A great view. The only thing we would have wished for was a King Size bed in the master. Mostly because that is what we are used to. You may also want to look at new frying pans. The existing ones are not in great shape.

Location was amazing, sunrise was so very stunning - unfortunately the unit was worn and needed updating. Bed was comfortable but bedding was Very dated. Unit had everything we needed, except We stayed for a week and had to purchase garbage bags and toilet paper, no extra stock.

Coming Home
This was our 3rd stay in Tanglewood 8 and words can't describe the calm we enjoyed. Sitting on the green chaise lounge, drinking a morning coffee while looking out at the sunrise was restoring. We'll be back!

Terrific spot for the whole family
We had a wonderful time in Steve’s condo! The location is perfect for big kids & small ones. Everything we needed was provided & furniture was very comfortable. Some of the blinds are getting worn out, but were adequate. Steve was very quick to respond to any requests. My family can hardly wait to go back.

We spent a full week in this great place.
The home has all you need to spent a relaxing time at the beach.
Our kids were so happy with all the beach toys available and we loved to be able to watch the tide come and go from the living room and the 2 outdoor spaces.
There is a mini golf close by and a nature house which sells ice cream.
We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Comfortable and Clean!
I have rented many units in Tanglelwood , including #8, and this is the first time I was disappointed.
The condo is comfortable & clean but lacking in basic amenities such as tin foil, saran wrap etc. that are standard in the other units. I am also at a loss as to why the owners chose to put the TV on a large chest that blocks much of the view of the ocean rather than mounting it over the fireplace. I'm guessing by the fingerprints on the windows that the previous renter had a small child.
Having said this the condo is close to the beach, quiet, comfortable and has a great fireplace for those cool, rainy days.
Be sure to load up on carrots and lettuce to feed the myriad of friendly rabbits you will encounter on the lawn, pathways and thru the park. I have always felt safe staying at Tanglewood, walking the beach or the pathways through the forest. Bring binoculars to watch the eagles soaring and the seals cavorting in the waves.

Great Place!!!
Hi! Our stay was from Mar 15/18 to Apr15/18. We were notified by message from Steve that our condo was ready 2 hours early, and we arrived shortly after to a beautiful., clean and well stocked condo. There were plenty of towels and blankets and soap and Kleenex etc. Also plenty of dishes. We were very impressed. The location is terrific and very quiet. We loved the beach and Rathtrevor Park right next door, plenty of space to walk and enjoy the forest and beach. We would recommend Steve and Lonnie's condo to anyone. The Parksville area is amazing and so was the condo!! Thanks Steve and Lonnie!!

We loved our stay at Tanglewood. This home away from home is fully equipped with everything. Comfort, a lovely ocean view and beach walking bliss too. Steve and Lonnie responded very promptly to all questions and provided a hassle free vacation spot. Highly recommend this home to anyone.

We loved it!
Steve and Lonnie's place is right on the beach, so it was perfectly situated for long walks, and especially fun for walks on the ocean bed when the tide went out. We went walking every day, rain or shine. In fact, we hardly used the car.
The condo itself is lovely, very bright, and the owners have tried to think of everything to make one's stay comfortable. We loved the large rooms, and big picture windows overlooking the beach. We found Steve and Lonnie very responsive. When I had a question, I had a text back in minutes. In one instance they went out of their way to replace a pair of worn oven gloves, travelling over from Vancouver specially to deliver them.
We highly recommend this lovely place. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Great location and property for young family!
The property was perfectly situated to the beach that we could access it easily with our toddler. The property layout also worked well for our needs and was clean and well stocked.

We greatly enjoyed this condo, perfect location to view the tides roll in and out. Very peaceful, yet close to the services Parksville offers. Location next to Rathtrevor park provides plenty of area to explore in the forest, and at low tide a vast area of sand to explore in the sun. It's like 2 vacations in 1.
The condo has every possible convenience, including a gas BBQ. Plenty of plush towels available.
We enjoyed the rooftop deck and the view it provides. Also happy to sit inside near the gas fireplace on those cool evenings.
Owners very responsive, responding to any inquiry very quickly.
We recommend this condo and hope to return again.
