About this house rental

Located in Chikaming Township, this lovely house for $398 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Cedar Hollow Cottage is nestled among tall pine trees steps from the beach in Union Pier. This home has an open floor plan, with a great room comprised of living room with gas fireplace, dining room and kitchen with breakfast bar. Two large comfortable couches for naps or movie nights. The kitchen is equipped for cooking. The dining table seats 10. You can easily add another table if you need more space. There are four bar stools at the breakfast bar. French doors lead to a sunny three season room that can be used for extra entertaining space, additional sleeping space (blow up mattress or couches) or play space for the kids. The master bedroom (king) connects to a master bath with walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub. Another large bedroom is toward the front of the home (king) as well. The middle bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed. Upstairs, there is a loft area (twin bed) and the fourth bedroom (queen) with a pull out trundle bed. The loft area is ideal for a little get-away for adults or children. Great for reading or watching a movie from the library on the small TV. Please see the floor plans in the photo section to understand the layout! If you're looking to be outdoors, enjoy a family sized hot tub on the patio off the back deck. This is a great place to grill and eat al fresco- or relax on the huge outdoor sectional couch. The home has an outdoor picnic table and smaller glass table for outdoor dining. If you're looking for a little warmth, you can use the fire pit! If you're looking to escape the buggy nights, you can stay on the front porch- which is screened in (and has a dining table and additional outdoor seating). Miller beach is a 3 minute walk along Lakeshore and the entrance is more even (not as steep) as the usual Michigan beach stair. Miller beach is a great place to spend the day or watch a sunset in the evening. The garage is not available for guest use. Nearby, there are 6 public beaches including Warren Dunes State Park, Silver Beach in St. Joseph (fantastic carousel for kids and adults) and Cherry Beach. Many biking trails. Wine tasting on the wine trail for those who want to sample and drive through the lovely countryside. Several golf clubs close-by. Shopping, antique hunting, breweries, distilleries, casino, great restaurants and art galleries are all within a short car ride. Excellent home for a friends get away for a 50th birthday gathering. The place was perfect for cozy winter nights with the hot tub and fireplace. The home has everything you need to cook anything, keep entertained and stay relaxed. It was nice to be so close to the lake for a winter wonderland walk, and noticed that had it been summer .....every beach amenity you could possibly need is available to guests. Thank you for a lovely getaway house.

Loved my stay! The house was comfy & cozy with lots of space to sleep, eat & hang out. There were several outdoor areas to enjoy — cute screened porch, covered open patio with grill & well-furnished backyard, including the hot tub (really clean!). I got lucky and had a few days of warm fall weather… the beach was just steps away from the house and all the beach gear needed was there. The kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook. The neighborhood was peaceful with several dining options and shops nearby in walking distance. I had a few questions during my stay and Jennifer was a responsive and gracious host.

Cedar Hollow Cottage is a great beach house. The location is a short walk to the beach and there are fewer stairs than other beach entrances. The house has generous space with several areas inside and out to gather with family or friends. It is well-supplied with beach gear, kitchen equipment and dishware, games for adults and toys for kids. The loft bedroom has a low, sloping ceiling so it may not be a good fit for tall people, but children will love it. The beds were super comfy and the house is delightfully decorated.

Our group of 6 adults enjoyed Jen’s lovey home. So many nice places in & out to relax. The beach so close and never crowded was a big plus. A storm before we arrived had caused the outside patio to need attention and Jen was on it and had someone come out to clean up. Loved the hot tub. Great area to shop for antiques and find places to eat. We really loved shopping in Sawyer at the home & garden store. Great produce, gifts and food selection. Barney’s in New Buffalo was a very nice grocery store also. We hope to return to Union Pier again. Time went too fast and we wished we could have stayed longer.

My family and extended family (4 adults, 3 kids, 1 baby in total) all thoroughly enjoyed our week at CHC! House was well decorated, stocked with toys and games and kitchen supplies, beds were comfortable, house space and yard space was great and the location was perfect. We loved being so close to the beach (so we could go for the day and then go back at sunset) and very close walking distance to restaurants and shops. We love going to Union Pier every year. Thanks Jennifer!

This house is beautiful. It was spacious enough for our family of 10 to celebrate Mother’s Day. We loved the neighborhood, short walk to the beach, and the large beautiful backyard. We also loved the screened in porch. The hot tub was an extra bonus. The house was stocked very well and was clean. I would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, spacious, and charming. 5 sisters met here from different cities and had a wonderful weekend relaxing at this lovely home. Plenty of amenities to be comfortable and taken care of. Plenty of cooking and serving ware to make a couple stay-in meals. The screened in front porch was so pleasant to sit and chat over a charcuterie board and some local wine. Highly recommend this property.

What a great property situated perfectly near the beach, town and local attractions. One of the most well stocked kitchens off any property I've ever rented. The hot tub was awesome too. We will be back!

This was a great location and house for our girls weekend. The house was comfortable, clean and spacious. We had a great time and the location was perfect. Even though we were there during the cold off-season, there was so much to do and the house was located near the beach, restaurant and shopping. The hosts were very responsive and the amenities were exactly as described. We highly recommend this property.

My group of friends and I had a great weekend staying here! Will definitely be returning in the future. Location is great with an easy walk to the beach, and the whole yard and outdoor space was perfect for spending time together. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Everything you need is provided - well stocked kitchen, beach towels and chairs, and great games and books! Good location to beach too which is a big plus with little ones!
