We just got back from a 6 day getaway at So Many Roads. Our group consisted of 2 adults and 6 young teenagers. The house was perfect! The beds were comfy and the hot tub was hit. The walk to the beach was easy. The beach was pretty quiet most days and it was easy to find a spot to set up. We enjoyed the local restaurants especially Cups n Cones for ice cream and Hatteras Sno-Balls. Food Lion and Dollar Tree were a quick car ride away. We hope to return again next year! Thanks for sharing your home!

When we got there, it was still being cleaned, but we were early. Saw some sites and killed some time and came back. When we walked in, it was like being home. Everything was nice and clean and ready to go. Beds were comfortable and living area was spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare a nice meal. There are nicer homes up and down the strip, but for the money we spent, this exceeded our expectations. The treck to the beach is a little daunting though. It’s not that far, but the dunes are very high and there is some steps. So if you’re weak in the knees like us, it was a little rough.

So Many Roads was everything we were looking for, the pictures really don’t do the place justice. The area is quiet and peaceful and located close enough to the surroundings that you could walk just about anywhere you wanted to go. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we will definitely be back.

This property was just what we were looking for. The hot tub was located off the living room. Very convenient. It would have been nice to have dish towels and more than 2 towels for 3 night stay.

We came to the house to enjoy Avon and the house had everything we could possibly need for our stay. It was a very convenient location being close to the beaches, stores, and restaurants. The beds were comfortable which was a wonderful surprise.

I have never needed to leave a negative comment for a place we've rented, but unfortunately there were some pain points in this home that directly affected our vacation and I can't honestly recommend renting it until the owners make a few repairs and/or solve a few issues.
Pros: The house does look just as pictured in person. The decorations and updates are nice in the kitchen and throughout the bedrooms and family room. It's definitely a cute beach cottage, and perfect size for a small family (we were two adults and our toddler) but not GREAT for a small child like ours because it's very close to NC 12 and there's not much room to ride a bike or scooter that doesn't put the child right on the highway. Not a deal breaker, but just for fair warning, I thought I'd include it. He did have fun on the scooter under the house/in the driveway.
Location is good - very close to Food Lion and a few restaurants and seafood markets. The check in process was good and we felt happy with the location.
Cons: Waterbugs, aka Oriental Roaches aka Palmetto bugs. The morning after we checked in, we awoke to a large roach crawling up the drapes and throughout the day, would find 5 more. These large bugs are NOT a sign of infestation or a dirty kitchen. We get that. They are prone to wander in when a house is backed up to lots of thick brush like this house is. It still had a negative effect on our trip and kept us on edge looking out for them. We saw 2-3 after that initial day.
Large appliance issues were a problem. We ran the dishwasher and the result was standing water inside and no dishes were cleaned, even though it looked like the washing pod was dissolved. We wound up running it 4 times and finally just gave up because the dishes weren't getting cleaned. We washed everything by hand after that.
We had some trouble with toilets not flushing as well. Maybe this house needs a septic pump? But at one point, my husband had to use a Tupperware filled with water to get the toilet to flush. Just regular size flushes were slow to go down. Not fun.
Neutral but worth mentioning: There's not a ton of outdoor lounge space. There's a small deck but it is in need of treatment from wear and water rot, and we weren't comfortable using the hot tub since the wood looked so degraded underneath it.
There were some responsiveness issues from the owner at first, but he did wind up communicating with us throughout our visit after we flagged these issues.

We enjoyed our stay here! The house had all the basics we needed for a comfortable stay, and the hot tub was a bonus! Avon is a great town - not too busy, and plenty of places to eat. It was helpful being so close to a grocery store as well. Beach access is just across the street and down a short road - not far at all. Lots of silky soft sugar sand, but not lots of people, which is just how we like it! This was a great place to make some memories as a family before our son leaves for the Coast Guard. We are grateful for our time there!

The house was nice just make sure to bring sheets and towels. Paper towels extra tp. The roads were shut down on our stay and couldnt leave the island. The property owners let us stay an extra night which was very much appreciated

This house was absolutely perfect for our Annual Girls Weekend. Four of us were very comfortable with plenty of room. It is close to everything and if you don’t make a trip to Muffins and Scones- you are cheating yourself out of deliciousness!!
We only had two little issues- the first one is that we could NOT figure out how to make the TV work. Thank Goodness for our pizza delivery guy- he had us connected in no time. The other issue is that there were numerous little spiders In the master bedroom/bathroom. Considering the fact that I am terrified of spiders of all sizes - it made me a little hesitant. Thankfully one of my friends is not a sissy baby like I am and was able to kill them for me. :)
Highly recommend the house! We stay at different places every year but we all talked about how this could become our permanent annual girls weekend home (as long as it’s available).
Oh! I have to add that the bed in the MBR was so comfortable that I struggled to stay OUT of it. Lol

We stayed here over a long weekend for my daughter’s birthday. The entire stay was awesome. The beds are so comfortable! It was decorated nicely and had great kitchen gadgets. We were flooded in the day we were set to leave. He gave us a heads up that morning and was very accommodating since we had to stay past check out since the road was impassable. We will definitely stay here again!

Great stay. We pretty much just walked to the beach every day. It was great to have the outdoor shower to get cleaned up when we got back. Kitchen is nice—bedrooms aren’t huge, but layout worked great for our party of 4 adults, 2 teens, a 5-yr-old, and an infant. Some ants around but clean enough overall. Great value for relaxing beach vacation IMO

My review will be long and informative so bare with me.
Let me start by saying this house was great for our family of 4, we had plenty of space, was a stones throw from the beach, loved the ability to shower after before entering and tracking in sand with 2 littles ability to keep mess to a minimum is always nice ! It’s also got great shops and places to eat close by.
The owner is very nice and responsive and seems to care about making sure everyone is comfortable, we even got the pleasure of meeting him when he offered us some fish he caught one day!
We encountered some issues with internet first day, but once he was aware did everything he could to immediately fix the issue.
We did have a lot of trouble with ants getting into our food from some window seals, there is not pantry room put up groceries so we unfortunately lost a lot of food but when we made him aware he said he would address the issue and offered to send pest control out so I have no doubt it will be resolved for next guest.
A few things I wish I’d known prior to booking , I can’t say if it would have changed my mind on the property but it been nice to know ahead.
Days before you come and it’s to late to back out with a full refund you will get a email telling you you need to bring all your own bedding,pillows and towels as a family of 4 who flew in from Texas that was a huge added cost to have to pay for extra bags to haul enough.
Also, we stayed for 7 days and when we got to the home 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 paper towel roll was left for us in a sac that said “welcome “In my opinion for the price you pay it is not normal to be expected to supply your own basic essentials in a home or hotel.
I found the cleaning subpar and it extremely tasteless a tip envelope is left by the house keeper, but was told this is a new cleaner and made owner aware of issues she should work on so again I truly think that will be addressed before next lucky renters of this home come.
Over all we had a wonderful time and I think with the proper things addressed this is a absolutely wonderful home to rent.

This property was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with anything one may need on vacation. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. The beach was a quick walk and easy to get to. We woke every morning to witness the gorgeous sunrises that the east coast offers. This rental property had every thing we expected and more and we would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We had such a great time! The location was perfect - walking distance to The Froggy Dog and the beach. The house was the perfect size for us. Kitchen has everything you need and more. Beds are extremely comfortable! We were having such a nice time we actually stayed an extra day. So glad we found this lovely house for a much needed break.

The checkout time was 6pm (instead of 4pm) and check-in time was 10am possibly due to extra cleaning needed because of Covid. However, the cleaning was not as great as I thought it would be - hair in bath tub, hair on bathroom floor, and dusty furnitures. The online listing says the house has 1 bathroom but there were actually 2 bathrooms which was good. The beach is 5 minute walk but you have to cross the highway to go to the beach. Overall, the stay was not bad for the price we paid.

We had a really nice time staying here for our safe, socially distant honeymoon. The house was clean and hot tub was great. We enjoyed picking up fresh seafood and cooking for ourselves in the well stocked kitchen. Sitting in the hot tub at night and stargazing was a highlight of our stay.
