Don't miss out on this quiet oceanside beach home for your next family getaway, including your four-legged friend because A Bright Spot is dog-friendly! Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a carport and driveway that accommodates up to 6 vehicles, a storage area with two children's bikes and other beach gear, an air compressor, a basketball hoop, a fish cleaning table, 750ft to beach access, and an outdoor shower. Mid Level: As you enter the home, you'll find 4 bedrooms and laundry. Bedroom #1 is furnished with a king bed with an attached semi-private full bathroom, TV, and access to the wrap-around deck. Bedroom #2, the bunk room with two twin bunk beds is right down the hall and has hallway access to the full bathroom. Bedroom #3 is furnished with a queen bed and Bedroom #4 is furnished with a full bed. Bedrooms #3 and #4 have TVs and share a semi-private bathroom nestled between the rooms. Top Level: The top floor offers a kitchen, a large dining area with two seating areas, and an open living area. The kids can enjoy time with their favorite board game while you relax with family and your favorite beverage, and the cooks for the day are still part of the gathering. The kitchen is equipped with all of the cookware you need to prepare your favorite meal. Access to the inviting ocean-facing sun deck with a picnic table & extra seating is located directly off the living area. Extras: 4 flat-screen TVs, WiFi, traditional coffee maker, grill, outdoor shower, basketball hoop, ground-level storage area with beach gear, two children's bikes, air compressor, deck furniture, and a fish cleaning table. No Smoking/Vaping. Dogs Welcome. Distance to beach access: 750 feet. Beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Set of Twin Bunk Beds, 1 Full. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-in Location: At the Property. Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom,1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub. Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full. A Bright Spot was a lovely beach house for our large group to stay in. There was a kitchen table large enough for everyone to sit around for dinner and best of all there were tons of seating options in the living space :)The beds had linens and several comfy pillows to choose from which is great because everyone has different preferences for pillows. The walk to the beach was super easy and didn't involve crossing any main roads which was great! The hot tub was nice and secluded on the side of the house and the outdoor shower downstairs was always amazing after a day on the sand. The kitchen was a little outdated (dishwasher was starting to rust inside and pans had Teflon scraping off of them) but that seems to be the norm at beach houses in the outer banks. The wi-fi was also pretty slow, a few of us were trying to work from home and wound up using our own phones as hot spots. The wi-if was able to stream movies on the TV though so it was still good enough for the average group on vacation. We also had muffins and scones across the street which has free w-if and delicious food so that was also an option to use for working. Overall we had a great stay at this home and would recommend to others for a group beach trip :)

The house was perfect for our group and just as described! It was comfortable, clean and communication was simple and easy! We had a wonderful time reconnecting with our family. The beach was a short walk from the house with easy access. Overall, a wonderful experience and vacation! Thank you!!!

We had a fantastically relaxing vacation with our family of 6 which included our grown children and their s/o and our little dogs. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The AC worked well. Water pressure in the showers was good also. The Avon Beach was close and inviting. We enjoyed walking on the sandbar at night with flashlights to look at crabs, shrimp, fish and hermit crabs. Walking to the muffin and scone shop was delightful in the morning. We had a delicious meal out at Pangea The dishwasher and microwave worked but could use a replacement soon. Overall A Bright Spot was a great place to relax and unwind.

Good Morning - we had a wonderful experience at A Bright Spot. House was true to the description, clean when we arrived. We had clogged drains(2) issue that was fixed with in 24 hours. I do believe there may be a problem with the light over the kitchen sink. I does not work all the time. I thought it may be the bulb, but that was changed when the drains were unclogged. Sometimes the light came on and sometimes it did not.

We vacation at OBX every year, but this was our first time to bring a dog and A Bright Spot was the perfect house for our family. The house was clean with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for 8 adults. The beach and dunes were an easy walk from the house and the hot tub was the best way to unwind after a long day. Avon and Haterras have a lot to offer without the noise and traffic of other OBX towns. We plan to return! Thank you, Shore Management!

We enjoyed our stay at A Bright Spot. The house was setup with great kitchen necessities making it feel like home. Close to the beach and great neighbors around. We enjoyed spending a few minutes in the hot tub on several occasions. The cover was easy off/on and helped keep the water clean. Can't wait to return.

This property was as promised in the description. Overall was clean upon arrival (some sand remaining on the couches and stairs, but have to imagine it’s difficult to remove entirely) and a bag was left with clean kitchen towels, paper towels and toilet paper. All beds were made and wrapped packages of towels were left on each bed. The property offered beach chairs, etc. and we especially appreciated and used the beach cart to wheel our supplies to and from the beach. Only complaint was that the tub attached to the room with the king sized bed did not drain well from the start with the water at our ankles by the end of a shower. Overall a great stay and we would definitely rent this property again.
