About this house rental
Come and enjoy our home on stunning White Lake, near Lake Michigan and Duck Lake State Park. White Lake is a great boating and tubing lake as it is seven miles long (and uncrowded, even during high season). You can also just relax in the hot tub or on the deck while the kids play in White Lake's warm waters. The elevated deck gives you a beautiful view of this serene environment far away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. In the fall, the leaves are gorgeous and you can cozy up to the indoor fireplace. In the winter, that fireplace is even more appreciated after spending a day at Muskegon State Park’s Winter Sports Complex. Here (10 min drive), you can snowshoe, cross country ski, luge, or ice skate. The cross country ski trails are even lit at night. Sunrises and sunsets year round can’t be beat. This is our dream home and we are happy to share it.
Big blue, as we call her, seems to flow into White Lake through its panoramic windows and oversized sliding glass doors. The deck offers a place for you to sit and relax and watch the day on the lake go by. The stairs lead you down to the yard, which slopes down to the beach. There is also a dock, and you can either rent one of our pontoons/tritoons or bring your own boat for boating activities. There is a channel leading out into Lake Michigan for those calm days where you can cool off in its cool, clear waters. We also have kayaks on site.
Our home offers 4 large bedrooms and a huge bonus area for extra sleeping area for little people. There is a modern kitchen with a professional range and double oven, oversized refrigerator, and a quartzite counter. The master bathroom is modern and immaculate with a double shower and a deep freestanding tub. The second bedroom boasts a modern en suite bathroom. The two smaller bedrooms have views of the lake out of their windows and share a hall bathroom. The bonus room is large enough to accommodate a number of children.
Our home is also close to bike riding and hiking trails, boat rentals, inexpensive golf and some of the best courses in the country (not so cheap), and even an amusement park, Michigan's Adventure. If Lake Michigan's beaches beckon, they are a short boat or car ride away.

The house was beautiful. First thing you notice is the oversized front door. The main bedroom on the first floor has a beautiful on suite bathroom with opposite dual shower heads. Followed by the large kitchen!!! Perfect layout. There is a gas grill on the deck outside and a good amount of space to view the lake. The hot tub was nice on chilly days. There is an unfinished basement that was not included in the rental. I’m hoping this is completed in the future and included in the rental. The lower deck lights cannot be turned on unless the owner accesses the locked basement. This would be one of the best homes I’ve stayed at. The backyard is not friendly for yard games. Sticks, rings, cod hole, frisbee, would all need to be done on the front lawn. If possible, it would be nice to flatten this will less brush. The boat rental deal was more than worth it!! Highly recommend this with tubing/boarding. No luck catching any fish in early September, got a few bites on the kayaks provided. Owners were very responsive to questions on gas tank, firewood, and lower deck light request. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

My extended family has been vacationing in the Duck Lake/White Lake area since the 1940's. This was definitely the nicest place we have ever stayed. Beautiful house, great location, lots of great amenities.

We returned to this house 5 years after our first visit and it was just as awesome the second time. Beautiful, clean, well-appointed house with awesome lake views. We rented a boat from an outside company (Duneshore boating) and kept the boat at their dock for the week. House has all the little things (extra chairs, towels, kids toys, more roasting kit, TV with roku and accounts loaded already!) We hope to return again in summers to come!
