Mackenzie Manor is located in Black Mountain, NC Tripadvisor's 2017 "America's Prettiest Small Town". The private, quaint home is surrounded by very few neighbors, making it the perfect place to sit back & relax while being close enough to enjoy all that Western North Carolina has to offer. Located only 2 minutes from downtown Black Mountain, Ridgecrest & Montreat & only 15 minutes from Asheville. Enjoy easy access to the local grocery stores & tailgate markets. Many local attractions including The Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, Chimney Rock & Lake Lure are all within a 15 to 30 minute drive. Beautiful refinished concrete floors with plush area rugs and new central heating and air. New updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. The newly refinished antique dining table seats 4. This home has a very nice large, flat back yard with outdoor eating area & gas grill. The side yard is large enough for a game of badminton, corn hole, horse shoes or croquet. Both yards are great for children to run and play outside! The living room has new furniture & a new 50’ HD smart TV. Enjoy easy access to Netflix, Vudu, Hulu and more using your login information. The bedrooms have beautiful new upholstered headboards, antique side tables with easy access charging ports, new mattresses & new soft comfortable bedding. One bedroom has a queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom has been updated with a full size bed. This home has just been completely remodeled & newly decorated. All windows are covered with new blinds and/or sheers. All linens are provided, as well as a starter supply of paper products, dish soap and laundry detergent. Extra pillows, blankets and quilts are also available for use. It is fully equipped with everything you would need to have an amazing weekend or extended stay! Single-night requests are welcome only on a last-minute basis, or in the case of a single-night opening on the calendar. A lovely place to stay! 5 Stars! We absolutely loved our time and felt so comfortable! So many thoughtful amenities and super clean. Hosts are super responsive. House is in a peaceful area but really close to restaurants and the charming town of Black Mountain. Would stay here again in an instant!

The cottage was well appointed, immaculate and in a good central location. It was a peaceful place to come back to every day after a long hike. Property was close to all activities we wanted to do during our stay. Kitchen was well equipped (except for non working coffee makers). Heating and ac worked well. However, one week after we returned home, we became infected with bed bugs. Therefore, we suspect that we may have brought them home with us.

This place is a gem! It is in a great location, quiet, peaceful and yet, close to town. The property is well appointed and very clean.
The town of Black Mountain is a gem as well! Wonderful restaurants and lovely shops greet you and the Ingle’s market close by has every grocery food, wine and related item you could imagine.
The surrounding area is breathtaking. The Biltmore Estate is minutes away in Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway is close by as are wonderful hiking trails, waterfalls and mountain vistas.
During our two week stay we went somewhere new each day and there was something wonderful to see and experience at every turn!
Having our lovely home to return to at days end was a welcome bonus! All in all it is hard to imagine a better place to be.

The home was absolutely amazing! Warm and welcoming. Very well maintained and immaculately clean. It was close to the town of Black Mountain and Asheville. I definitely plan on renting this home again! Thank you for such wonderful service and accommodations.

Great getaway
The house was very clean and exactly as shown. The beds slept great. They had a Christmas tree nicely decorated in the living room. It was off the main road so it was nice and quiet. We had a great time and hope to stay here on our next visit.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The home was as described in the listing and very clean and tidy. A quick drive to downtown where we found ample parking. Would definitely recommend to fAmily and friends.

Wonderful Week Away
Cottage was comfortable, well stocked, close to town, and clean. Easy access to Ashville and a day trip to Grandfather Mountain rounded out the week. Over all a wonderful stay.

Shane and Rebecca’s place is extremely clean and well equipped. They truly have thought of everything - phone charging stations, kitchen equipment and even added a fire pit table in the back yard while we were there! The setting is beautiful, but no walkable to downtown Black Mountain, you need to drive. Would definitely come back!!

This little home was perfect- away from the noise of downtown Ashville, no neighbors with barking dogs, yet close enough to get to many wonderful sight seeing spots including Chimney Rock Park, Dollywood, and the Biltmore. Great Black Mountain Cottage
The place was EXACTLY as advertised and was perfect for our long weekend in Black Mountain. Just five minutes or less to downtown and 20 or so to Asheville, the location is perfect. And the house has been so tastefully renovated. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We would definitely stay again if available the next time we’re looking for a long weekend away!

Summer Adventure
We are in Black Mountain every summer for Crestridge Girls camp pick up. This year we were staying for the Spartan Race and wanted a comfortable place close to camp and race start. It was perfect! All the comforts of home at a great rate. Rebecca was so accommodating and and quick to respond to any questions.
We hiked Catawba Falls, shopped/dined in Black Mountain and Asheville, got muddy at Spartan race and topped it off ziplining The Gorge.

Very clean, nicely decorated. On our arrival we had Cupcakes waiting for us. They were Great! Had the pleasure of speaking with the owner before leaving. Very nice people. Would recommend.
