Located in Wisconsin, this charming house for $359 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Welcome to the 5-star rated Silver Creek Hideaway. This home is on Silver Creek (aka 'The Channel'). It is the 6th home in from Silver Lake. You're going to love it! RATES PROVIDED INCLUDE TAXES. WE DO NOT COLLECT 6% SALES TAX IN ADDITION TO THE NIGHTLY RATE. You are sure to enjoy this home with its lovely amenities. The open floor plan with a luxury kitchen overlooking a large deck is perfect for entertaining, cooking, and dining inside and outside. The stocked kitchen is nicely renovated and features hand-built Amish cabinets, quartz countertops, custom tile backsplash, undermount sink, and Bosch appliances. It is truly a chef's delight. Located on a quiet private road, this home has 2 levels for your enjoyment. The main floor has a large kitchen, family room with TV and fireplace, 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The bottom is a walk-out basement featuring a wet bar, 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom. It's a great setup for 2 families to share or for multi-generation vacationing. The lower level has a 50" TV with Wii and Smart Bluray/DVD player, game closet, and folding table for games and puzzles. It's a great way to separate some of the noise or give your teens a place to hang out. We have a nice long dock that brings you out to the middle of the channel where there is a clean sandy bottom, with a 9x10 platform at the end of the dock to bathe in the sun and relax in the tranquil setting of the channel. This is a pet-free home. Sorry for the inconvenience. We have some severe allergies in the family. If you have a small animal under 25 lbs. and special circumstances, please reach out to us. We will try to accommodate you. Amenities include: - Stocked kitchen - Linens provided (not beach towels) - Lawn games - Tons of boardgames, card games, and puzzles - 2 large LED TVs, Bluray, Amazon Fire Stick, Nintendo Wii and Xbox (you will need an Amazon account for the Fire Stick) - High speed wireless internet - Weber grill (propane included!) - Canoe, 2 kids kayaks, 2 adult 12' kayaks, 2 10' kayaks, paddleboat - A/C - Fire pit by the water - Folding table with 4 additional folding chairs for games or meals Family friendly items at the house: -Pack-n-play -Kids dishes (not sippies) -High chair -Permanently attached baby gate at top of stairs 4 bedrooms plus a pull-out sofa. Two bedrooms have a queen, one has a twin over full bunk, the other has a twin over full bunk with a 3rd pull-out trundle twin. Plus there is a pull-out sofa (linens not provided for this mattress) and a pack-n-play. Bring an air mattress if needed. Hopefully we have your group of up to 12 covered! Enjoy all the area has to offer. You can canoe and kayak or take a small fishing boat to the sand dunes from this home. Or just play in the water. The channel is not very deep and moves slowly, offering a peaceful area to relax or allow your kids to play safely. Just down the road is a public boat ramp to get your boat on Silver Lake. Head the other direction you'll find the beach at Lake Michigan next to the Little Sable lighthouse just a mile and a half away. Peak summer weeks rent Friday to Friday, with one or two exceptions throughout the summer. Early season, September and October 3-day stays, weeks, or monthly rates are available. This was our first stay here and it definitely won't be our last. We were hampered by the weather but we had a wonderful time just hanging out at the house. The house is beautifully laid out and there is so much to keep you occupied there. Ryan and Amanda thought of everything. We will see you next season!

Ryan is the best host we have had in 30+ years using VRBO. Communications were timely and complete. He was able to accommodate both some unusual and last minute requests. Not surprisingly, the house itself was wonderful. Very well equipped in every regard; he thought of everything. With a toddler, a baby, and five adults for 12 days, and an additional two adults for three days, we had everything we needed. All appliances were top notch and worked perfectly. The location on the channel was great, especially for the toddler who could actually get in the water. We average 3-4 VRBO rentals each year --- this was one of the very best experiences --- both the property and the host.

We loved our second stay at this house. The location is perfect - close to all the Silver Lake attractions. We used the kayaks to paddle out to both Silver lake and to Lake Michigan. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for a cooking a family meal. Everything was clean and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and by the fire at the fire pit. Thanks for another great stay!

What a nice place for our families to vacation. Quiet area, water access right out the back door with kayaks, canoe and a paddle boat. Dock and dock chairs were a treat. Ryan was quick to respond to our texts. Highly recommended place for a relaxing getaway.

Great location, just a short kayak or canoe trip to Silver Lake & a couple of us even did the kayak to Lake Michigan! Ryan was super responsive to any of our questions, excellent host. Even though the water level by the dock is low, the kids still had a great time swimming & playing in the water.

We had a fabulous stay! The house is in a great location for the dunes and access to the lake through the channel was great. We were a party of 7 and there was plently of room for us. The use of the kayaks was perfect, although one more kayak paddle is necessary in order to use all four adult kayaks (we only found three paddles). Using a single oar on Silver Lake was a challenge! The house was clean and had everything we needed for a week stay (except for the use of the washer/dryer, but we already knew that before coming). When we arrived it was obvious it had been quite sometime since the lawn had been mowed. I notified Ryan and he had someone come over to mow it. He was great with communication! We barely had room in the drive for two trailers with trucks and a small car, so if someone is traveling with more ORV equipment than we did, parking will be an issue. We will defintely consider returning! Thank you!

We were pleasantly surprised at how functional the house was for 8 people. While it wasn't the roomiest house we've been to, we never felt cramped. We took advantage of comfortable weather and spent most of our time either on the deck, the dock, or on the water. My teen-aged girls enjoyed the kayaks during the day and the Wii and Xbox in the evenings. The adults even enjoyed taking the paddle boat to the lake a few times. We made a few meals in the kitchen which was really nice - plenty of cabinets to store goods and counterspace to prepare and serve food. Unfortunately, there is no access to a washer/dryer at the house but we managed by bringing extra clothes, towels and wash cloths.
Being on the channel offered a great view and a quiet atmosphere. We ventured out to a winery, mini golf, a couple of road-side bakeries, shopping, boating on the lake, and hit the dunes. We even took a road trip to enjoy some rollercoasters and a water park. Didn't have to look too hard to find some great eats nearby - even made a trip to Muskegon for a special Father's Day dinner. For such an unassuming little town, we were never at a loss for things to do.
I reached out to the owner a few times leading up to our trip and once while at the house; they were quick to respond to our questions and offered great recommendations for places to eat and things to do.
All-in-all, we had a great stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking at the area for a family trip.

Although we were initially disappointed by the depth of the channel that did not allow us to dock a large boat, we soon came to appreciate the solitude of this location made possible by the lack of boat traffic. We were close enough to enjoy the dunes, lighthouse, local shops, etc., but removed enough to also enjoy family time without disruption and nature right in our backyard. Turtles, fish, and other wildlife were right outside our doors!
Our host was very prompt when we had questions, and the property was clean, well-maintained, and well-supplied. We enjoyed the games provided when we ended up inside on a rainy day.

The property was perfect for us. It was stocked with everything we needed. The kayaks on the canal was a great added bonus. This location is close to the sand dunes, downtown, and the lighthouse. The communication with the owner was friendly and prompt. I would definitely stay here again.

Good in general with written instructions but several improvements needed. There were 8 of us but several had to use blow up beds we brought as a precaution. The downstairs gets much colder than first floor, so bring many extra blankets. The downstairs sofa bed was too dirty and not useful. A few of the kayaks had small holes so your butt will get wet. One of two microwaves worked. These improvements would make this place excellent.

We stayed 3rd weekend of September. We had a family sibling reunion. Very well supplied throughout the house. Was rainy the weekend we stayed so didn’t experience lot of activities that are available.
Ryan was excellent host, always responded to questions in a timely manner.

Some places you stay you wonder where they got the pictures. The home does not measure up to what they show. This home is NOT that. The beautiful pictures does not come close to representing it. This home is truly wonderful, very warm and inviting, something for everyone. The hosts have gone above and beyond to think of everything. Thank you for sharing your home with our family!

Every thing it this home is very nice awesome kitchen. Has everything you will need. Parking was a bit tight. Nice deck for hanging out … they also had kayaks and canoe and plenty of life vests if you decide to use them. My granddaughter loved the swing under other top deck.

Lovely home. Clean and well kept. Kitchen was well equipped to make anything you’d like! We were there with three college aged kids so the layout was perfect. Loved the amenities. Appreciated the puzzles on our one rainy day! Location was great. Quiet but still close to things to do. Communication with owner was easy and he responded quickly. Will definitely return!

Family time
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect property to stay in for my return to Michigan. We brought family so the grandkids could see where Grandma grew up. They had so much fun in the channel with the kayaks and in general playing in the water whenever we were at the property. The property was extremely clean and well stocked. Ryan even arranged for perfect weather while we were there! We would highly recommend this property to anyone considering it! I hope to come back someday soon!

Fantastic 3 night trip
Thankful for this fantastic vacation with family; grandparents and cousins. The house made it very comfortable for all ages. Lots of space, very clean, stocked kitchen. We enjoyed all the extras of canoeing, kayaking, and relaxing on the large deck. Very close to the state park and activities. :)

Birthday Weekend for our GVSU student
Very clean well appointed cottage on Silver Creek. Great time kayaking to lake & enjoying beautiful Fall colors. Close to dunes, lighthouse, just 3 houses down creek to the lake. Kitchen was well stocked, even had a pot big enough to cook our son‘s favorite birthday dinner- crab legs. Would stay here again & would love to come back in summer.

Best ever VRBO!
We LOVED our stay! The house was well stocked and so clean. I especially appreciated the fact that there was a pack-n-play and highchair, so we didn't have to pack ours. We also enjoyed the canoe and kayaks the whole week.

Had a great time. Siblings and their spouses were able to get together. One Brother up from Florida. I think we pretty much did everything that Silver Lake offered. The house was perfect for us. Very clean and the owner was great. Would definitely stay here again.
