About this house rental
Located in White Rock, this attractive house for $121 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Spectacular ocean views from this Adult only, fully equipped, furnished one bedroom suite with it’s own private entrance. Overlooking Semiahmoo Bay 180 degree vista takes in views of Mount Baker, Active Pass and all of the Gulf Islands in between. Watch the sun rise and set from your large covered private patio. Stairs lead to the beach, Promenade, with restaurants and shops, the famous White Rock and pier. Nature is at your doorstep . The property backs onto a 28 acre forest nature park, which has over 3 miles of walking trails and year round streams. We are frequently visited by Eagles, song birds, woodpeckers and other inhabitants of the nature park. Public transit just steps away. Centrally located with easy access to Vancouver, the Vancouver International airport, B.C Ferry terminals to Vancouver Island, Whistler Village and the United States border. Check-in 3PM Check-out 11AM 3 nights minimum stay.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay here. The house is comfortable and the fireplace very cozy on chilly nights. The hosts stocked the fridge with some breakfast basics which we greatly appreciated! The kitchen is well equipped for making meals. We enjoyed the tremendous view at all hours of the day and night -- simply stunning! We hope to visit again and see more of the gardens in bloom.

This is our second stay at Ocean View Suite and won’t be our last. The amazing views keep shifting all day. The hosts are warm and helpful and the place is clean and very well stocked. I love the walks along White Rock promenade and the forest trails immediately behind the home. Life doesn’t get much better than this!

Absolutely the loveliest view and property in town! Graehm and Hilda were thoughtful hosts with a a well appointed kitchen and some essentials to get us started with. It was a A quick walk to the beach, has a comfortable bed and the beautiful patio to drink your morning coffee. Definitely coming back!

On arrival the owners were unfortunately at a funeral so couldn't greet us as they do with everyone, this wasn't a problem for us. Before we even entered the property we were greeted by an amazing view of White Rock. When you live on the south coast of the UK with a distant view of the sea this was so breathtaking.
The suite was very homely with a few essentials provided by the owner (eg. tea bags, milk, eggs etc.) and after a long journey this was very welcoming. It took us a while to settle in and work out how the coffee machine worked, but we soon sorted it.
It was so nice to be able to sit on the paved area just outside the door and admire the view whilst eating breakfast or having a glass of wine.
Although White Rock is a bit hilly we didn't mind, although some people might so a car would be important. Also a train passes by adjacent to the promenade, but at slow speed. This again was a joy to see and even though this happened everyday it became an event for us.
Plenty to see if you don't mind a bit of travelling especially as the city of Vancouver is about an hour away. If you do visit this area we'd highly recommend Grouse Mountain.
A perfect location on the edge of town with restaurants, etc. in the town only an enjoyable short walk away.
We'd gladly stay here again.....if only for the hosts informative help, conversation and of course the cookies ;-)
PS. We were so lucky with the weather. Bright, sunny and warm everyday.

This is a great spot, just south of Vancouver and out of all the traffic! The owners are terrific. Wonderful cookies too. A beautiful and large kitchen, large living area. Comfortable bed as well.
The patio and garden are wonderful, the photos don't do them justice. We spent a couple afternoons just enjoying the view and the setting reading on the patio. Very relaxing. Close to good restaurants, a nice park that you can walk to from the house. We ended up eating in 2 of our nights as it was so nice to be there. We also loved walking on the promenade by the water.
We whole heartedly recommend you stay here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. The rental had everything we needed and the unit was very spacious. The location was awesome and close to everything in White Rock. The beach and the sea wall walk were 2 minutes down the hill. The views were spectacular and the garden was so beautiful and peaceful. Graeme and Helga were wonderful hosts, always available if we needed them but at the same time giving us our privacy. Laura’s Coffee Corner and Islands Cafe both had great breakfast sandwiches, and West Beach Bar and Grill had live music which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Graham & Helga are wonderful hosts. They truly make you feel like their home is your home. From eggs, bread, butter, fruit and so many fixing it’s definitely a home away from home.

Graeme and Helga were so terrific. We had several changes in plans within just a few days of our trip and they were all accommodated. The space was clean, open, warm and cozy with enough provisions to make cooking easy. A lovely patio to sit outside overloooking the water and White Rock.

I had a very relaxing visit to White Rock at this property. Private patio is great. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, pots pans, utensils, foil, wraps and coffee makers, tea kettle etc. bread, eggs and butter were a nice surprise too! The view is lovely but I was there during dense forest fire smoke so I could not have full advantage of it. Cozy fire and a good TV plus a land line phone so you don’t have to use your roaming charges on your cell phone.

Great property for exploring White Rock and the surrounding areas. Graeme is very knowledgeable about hiking and biking in the area, and gave us some excellent advice. Helga's homemade cookies are delicious. The garden is beautiful and the view is wonderful. The space is comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. We enjoyed sitting at the firepit in the evenings. Everything we expected and more.
