We had a great time

My husband and I just spent 2 months at Kimberly's cabin and have already booked another 2 months for 2023. We had stayed here for a month in 2021 and knew we had to return for a longer time this year. We live in Florida and have been coming to the Hayward area every year since 2016 and Kimberly's cabin has been our best lake cabin ever. The cabin is spacious, clean, has flat land to the lake and dock, and was very comfortable. We ate many of our meals out and there are many wonderful restaurants in the Hayward and Winter areas for breakfast through dinner. The casino is only 25 minutes away. Kimberly is a fantastic host and was always available when needed, which wasn't often at all. We highly recommend this Barker Lake cabin!

This was our annual girls trip and we love this cabin so much that we only left once to go to Hayward for a few hours. We spent hours in the water trying out all the water toys! We paddled around almost the whole lake a few times! It was quiet, peaceful and perfect get away from the crazy busy city. The sunsets and views and were spectacular. The bugs chased us in at night but there were a chest of games and we enjoyed reading while looking at the lake! The kitchen is fully stocked. Kimberly was an amazing host- and very responsive. Would stay again for sure.

We had a great time! Kimberly had everything we would need and then some! Rain and bugs chased us in some, but there was plenty to do inside anyway!

We are a retired couple who live in Florida and visit the Hayward area every Fall for a month. The Barker Lake cabin was without a doubt the best vacation in the area ever! We loved it so much we have rented it for two months in 2022. The property was as described and very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We appreciated the flat lawn to the lake and had fires most every night. My husband caught fish from the dock! We discovered great new restaurants in/near Winter, otherwise we ate at our favorites in/closer to Hayward. Being on vacation means little or no cooking even though the cabin's kitchen was well stocked with dishes, flatware, and cookware. The WiFi and Internet connections were wonderful without any interruptions. Kimberly has the cabin filled with items to pass the time and for outside lots of different types of water craft, bicycles, and golf clubs. Barker Lake was quiet and we loved watching the leaves turn color across the lake. Kimberly was easy to reach when necessary and was a wonderful host. We can't wait to return in 2022!

Cabin had everything we needed and more for our Labor Day weekend with family. It had all the necessities in cabin and many fun activities for everyone to do. The sunsets were amazing! Would definitely go back!

Great cabin for large family or group! Lots of room, great deck and backyard! Interior is older, rustic and a bit nostalgic. The cabin had everything we needed. Most of the lake is pretty shallow but great for kayaking. Just minutes from the Chippewa flowage where we were fishing.

Everything one needs is there. Lots of boats, life jackets were in great shape. Everything one needs in the house is there. Beds were very comfortable for all 3 of us. Tv in front we couldn't get to work directions were not updates but the little time we did watch TV we watched in other room. House could be updated but otherwise perfect. Saw 2 resident eagles everyday, otters, family of loon and many hummingbirds. I bought with me a feeder with me. Got up for many sunsets. Great stay!!!!

Kitchen and living area are lake-side and spacious, allowing comfortable movement through the quarters. Garage space thoughtfully redesigned to be a living room/sleeping area and is great for kids. Back two bedrooms are dark, quiet and comfortable. The one bathroom with shower/tub was more than sufficient for our family of 5 during 3 day weekend. Well kept and flat front yard is perfect for a chair, fire or bag-toss. Lake is small and shallow, but picturesque. Lake is not particularly well suited for skiing or tubing, but perfect for kayak or paddle board. Fishing is slow on this lake, but does offer size-able crappies if you can find them. Wonderful getaway, would certainly recommend and return!

It was a lovely setting - peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, the wildlife and the scenery. The cottage was clean, well stocked and extremely comfortable and homey. The host was attentive, friendly and easy to contact. We would definitely recommend a visit!

Great place to atay

My wife and I had a great stay with our 10 week old son and two dogs. The lake is beautiful and the fishing off the dock was good. Plenty of largemouth bass. The cabin was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. Kimberly was a great and responsive host. I would recommend for a Northwoods cabin getaway.

Kimberly’s home was perfect for my family for an escape to the north woods. The home was comfortable and welcoming. We loved the deck on the home. Also the lake is beautiful and we were treated with some amazing sunsets. So very grateful for a dog welcoming property as well. I would definitely come back again.

Cabin was great! Spent labor day weekend here and loved the area. The lake was nice and quiet and we had decent fishing right off the dock. It was a little chilly for us to utilize the kayaks and paddle boards but there is plenty of them available to use. Would definitely rent again and would recommend it to anyone!!

The cabin is wonderful. The porch was excellent. It was quiet and peaceful. It was everything we wanted and more.
