This charming historical home has the original floors, original bead board ceilings, and the original doors from The Mockingbird Cafe dating back over 120 years. This home's architecture is referred to as a shotgun house. Shotgun homes were built after the Civil War until the 1920's, and are believed to have originated in New Orleans, but are found all over the South. The Bay Breeze Cottage is decorated with a coastal feel with upgraded luxury details such as complimentary bath robes, toiletries, beach towels, laundry essentials, wifi, and satellite television. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the cosy, screened-in front porch, and walk to some of the best restaurants on the Gulf Coast. Bay Breeze Cottage is also held to a high standard in cleanliness. Very clean. No soap for washing machine. One cleaning pod for dish washer. Only one extra bag for garbage. Could not find garbage can with 204 on it. Possibly put garbage in neighbors can. Not one “ How are you doing? “ from properly manager.

House was very clean and organized. Area was quiet and neighbors were very nice. We rented a Golf Cart, but we could have easily walked everywhere we wanted to go, beach, shops, and restaurants were all very close.

This precious cottage was just as described! So much history! The decor and colors were fabulous. Plenty of room for a family of 6. Enjoyed having cocktail hour on the screened in porch! Neighbors were very friendly. Heather was very responsiveness and helpful. This cottage is definitely a place we will rent again!

Absolutely loved the house! The location was perfect! This property was the perfect getaway for our first trip to Bay St. Louis! Hurricane Ida hit 4 days before our arrival and Heather kept us up-to-date on the status of the after-effects at Bay St. Louis. Being without power in Baton Rouge for days, Heather made sure we had everything we needed at the property and responded quickly to answering all of our questions. The house is so lovely, beautifully decorated, convenient to everything and immaculately clean (which is a priority with little ones). The house was fully stocked and well equipped with everything you need. We had plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Although everything is within walking distance, upon Heather’s recommendation and referral, we rented a golf cart during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed driving to the beach, downtown, restaurants, the splash pad, shops and site-seeing. Bay St. Louis is like being in “Mayberry”! Everyone is so friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! We highly recommend this property to family and friends! Thank you Heather!

This was our first time visiting Bay St. Louis and the town was so charming! The house was very clean and decorated beautifully. Everything was fully stocked. We were able to walk to Main Street to enjoy the restaurants and even ice cream a few times! We had a few questions before and during our stay, and Heather always responded promptly. She was a great host and we would definitely stay here again!
