For two of us, this property was perfect! It’s designed for 2 couples or small family with 1 & 1/2 bath. I wouldn’t want to share but you easily could. Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. Good A/C, loved the clothesline and even better, the many hooks inside the house. Easy access to swimming and snorkeling in Cutlass Bay, some shade coverage on deck and terrace near beach. Friends rented The Point House which offered a pool, so it’s a good combo to rent if larger party. Same with Gate House but we didn’t go into that house. Kayaks are fun to use tooCat Island is a laid back, non-touristy island. It forces you to relax. Activities other than swimming, relaxing and light snorkeling are hard to come by. While we didn’t participate, Greenwood has dive and snorkeling trips. So if low activity isn’t your jam, then Cat Island may not be for you. We found it perfect with incredibly friendly people, all extremely helpful and sharing. Do your research on where to eat and you’ll eat well. From this property, on the weekend, you can walk to Da Pink Chicken (recommend!) but need to drive for other dining experiences. We loved Hidden Treasures and Greenwood Beach Club, but it’s wise to call ahead to be sure they are open. Da Smoke Pot was a fun Rake and Scrape experience too. And Olive’s bakery has delicious bread, especially coconut and cinnamon.The New Bight Airport and much welcomed road paving in southern part of island should be done by end of 2026.

I fell in love with Cat Island.Stephanie the owner replies to messages if you contact her. Very helpful with my questionsHarrison the care taker did a very good job of taking care of us, and he is also a very good cook. The first night we ordered him some food omg all the food was yummy and fresh, and take note the greens are from his garden! And we did another night order of lobster, it didnot disappoint! The lobster was fresh and its big one too! And i love talking to Harrison. He is a good man. Bless this man.Overall stay was a blast! Cant complain. Just watch for mosquito and the small insect "no-sse-um" its nature cant control them Lol!

I’ll start with the great stuff:
House location is amazing.
when the water is calm snorkeling was awesome.
The caretaker that manages the property was awesome and shared some fruit from his own garden which was delicious.
As for the problems:
The house lost power a couple times even after unplugging the AC in the master bedroom, this is because the house(electric stove, fridge, 3 AC units) was running off 2 30 amp single breaker poles, do with that information what you will.
The lack of internet which I assume is from the fact they are running a directional antenna to the other rental properties LAN. It was always in the -97 dB to -115 dB range (for non tech people this equates to about 1-2 bars WiFi) and wouldn’t allow me to airplay to the TV, I didn’t go there for internet but I did want to stream from my phone to the smart TV in the evenings so that was a buzz kill
All in all, if you want a remote island get-away just note power and WiFi are not guaranteed with this one.
