Located in Lake Wisconsin, this attractive condo for $170 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. One bit of change advised me by Vrbo: Vrbo now collects from you the Wisconsin State and Sauk County and Town of Merrimac tax of 12.5%. The taxes are on the room rate only...per night. ___________________________________________________________________ Unit 4 is perched amongst a canopy of oak and birch trees - coffee on the balcony in the company of leaves and branches over 2-stories from the ground! Unit 4 is one of eight condominiums in a building nestled amongst a mature birch/oak forest with glimpses over the Lake Wisconsin valley. Casual, whimsical, bright furnishing. Italian ceramic floor in bath. New step-in rainfall shower. Woodburning stove insert in the original, beautiful, stone fireplace. Small firepit outside for quiet summer/fall eves; or hearty-folks roasting s'mores in winter. Lovely, oiled-teakwood laminate floors LR and Hall - new faux-wood laminate in kitchen and bedrooms. You may find yourself resting on a pillowcase embroidered by my Cornish grandmother; or snuggled under a quilt made of squares of men's suit material; or find pencil drawings sent from the trenches of WWI from grandpa Pengelly (Tom) to grandma Pengelly (Olivia) in Cornwall. Poke about...little surprises all over. AND...and whole bass fiddle case of books presiding over the living room! Wildlife sightings - deer, turkey, raccoon, owl, and birds of all sorts fly over or walk through these remarkable surrounds. Marvelous earthrise and earthsets. I think the trees up here talk. Parfrey's Glen official entrance is a 20-minute walk away. Devil's Lake is a 10-minute ride. Devil's Head Ski/Golf Resort is 200 yards down Bluff Road. Quaint Merrimac FREE ferry (seasonal). Cascade Mountain Ski/Snowboarding or Wollersheim Winery/Sauk City - 20-minute ride. Attraction notebook available in unit. There are several new distilleries under construction in Baraboo...and Vintage Brewery is up and going in nearby Sauk City/Prairie du Sac area. Plenty of QUIET. Noise restriction after 11p. You could write your book here! Remarkable views. Friendly condo neighbors. Keywords: Condominium - Rocky Glen is about 300 yards up Bluff Road and on the opposite side of the entrance to Devil's Head Ski and Golf Resort

We had a great time. Loved the property. So close to ski resort (purpose of our trip) . Also close to great hiking. Very cozy with family after day on the slopes!

This place was great! Very nice, comfortable and cozy. The host was very responsive and helpful. There are a lot of things to do in the area, so plenty to keep you busy (hiking, skiing, breweries, etc.).

From meeting Lesleigh (the owner) for an initial tour, to exploring all of the decorative touches, to enjoying a wide assortment of music, to being surrounded by books, to enjoying the rainfall shower, to warming up by the cozy fireplace, to being immersed in the trees - this was by far one of my most favorite places to stay. Ever. And it was impeccably clean. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home to rent while we hiked in Devils Lake State Park, just a 10 minute drive away.
All of that being said, I would not recommend this place for young children as there are just too many delicate things to be broken. It should also be noted that this is a walk-up, second story dwelling.

We came up to see colors of leaves and the place did not dissappoint. You don't have to go anywhere, there are colors all over the area and the place feels like it is in the trees! Love this place.

Lesleigh’s condo in the woods makes a cozy getaway and a good jumping off place for exploring Devil’s Lake, Baraboo (15 minutes) and the WI Dells (20-25 minutes). We found it a comfortable place to stay with our family, and appreciated the comfy beds, couches, and stocked kitchen. Lesleigh was an accommodating host and was quick to answer any questions we had. We also enjoyed the cozy, artsy decor and proximity to the woods.
Tip: Palfrey’s Glen is less busy weekdays.
One note: Louder noise will carry to the condo below. The residents below live there part-time, but it’s something to take note of.
Still, don’t let that dissuade you from renting if you’re traveling with kids. This place is a good value and family friendly!

Lesleigh was the best host, she came over to greet us when we arrived. Showed us where everything was, and was super sweet. The condo itself was perfect, the couch was super comfy, loved the smart TV for Netflix after a long hike. The location was great, close to mirror lake and devils lake, we’d love to make Rocky Glenn an annual trip!

We really loved staying here. Lesleigh, the hostess, showed us everything when we arrived, so it was really a hassle-free stay. Very comfortable, very clean. We highly recommend.

Lesleigh was the best host in all of the years using this site. She lives in the complex and was very quick to respond to any and all questions. She was helpful in choosing places to go. We forgot out flea and tick spray for our clothes and equipment. She brought over stuff for us to us. Beautiful area wonderful hiking

The pictures do not do this little gem justice! Lesleigh was kind enough to meet & greet us upon arrival and walking in gave an overwhelming feeling of pure comfort! It was super clean and has a kitchen with all the necessities needed to cook a great meal, store items you need to keep for the week, and even baggies to store things you need to keep dry on your trip to devils lake! The balcony out back was perfect for morning coffee - watching the fog lift from blanketing the trees in the morning was one of my favorites! The kitchen table was perfect to enjoy dinner with family and friends and then share laughter after playing games into the night. The bathroom is a sanctuary of peace with a great walkin shower with your choice of rain fall or regular shower head. A firepit to relax at night with firewood on hand. Our pup loved all the woods around to explore. The only thing i would suggest is bring a map in case you dont get cell service. Lesleigh was amazing & we would for sure stay again & reco to anyone!!

What a charming rental! My two sisters and I spent the weekend together to celebrate a significant birthday. Lesleigh was a wonderful hostess! Her home had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable - a well stocked kitchen, cozy seating and throws, and delightful decor. The setting is off the beaten path - peaceful and quiet - so nice to wake to just the sound of birdsong. Lesleigh gave us a great recommendation for dining nearby. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more!

My husband and I stayed here for a short weekend and it was the perfect retreat for us. Lesleigh was so kind and accommodating.
The location was peaceful and secluded but still a close drive to many local attractions. Her home was so warm and inviting. We enjoyed exploring the home and all of the lovely touches that filled the space. I could have spent the whole weekend reading the plethora of books and listening to music on the CD player.
There are many great activities close by. We spent time in the town of Baraboo as well as hiking at Devil's Lake. If you are looking for something extremely unique to do, check out Dr. Evermore's Structure park.
We would highly recommend this location for a peaceful, enjoyable get away. We plan on returning again soon with our children.

The property felt like a tree house stay! The third level apartment makes you feel like you’re one with the birds. The host is so kind and made sure we felt taken care of. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing weekend.

Gorgeous setting, and great, comfortable property. Everything we needed was there in abundance. We could have done so many things in the area, but it was just too cozy reading, watching the plethora of birds, listening to music, cooking, and reveling in the wood burning fireplace. Host is incredibly gracious and responsive. Highly recommended and we'll be back.

We enjoyed everything about this property - everything we needed was at our fingertips and Lesleigh was a very informative and hospitable hostess! The location was wonderful and relaxing. We hope to stay again soon and enjoy the outdoor balcony with the view - it was too cold when we stayed!

Lesleigh’s place is an ideal stay around the area. It was just a stones throw away from Devils head resort for skiing and had to be one of the most well stocked rentals I’ve ever experienced. Lesleigh was an amazing host and was always available if anything was needed.

This was our second visit to Lesleigh’s place. We absolutely love staying here for a short ski/snowboard trip. The location is perfect, the home is welcoming and clean, and the host is so friendly. We will definitely be back AGAIN!
