We had such a great stay at this cabin. The host was excellent to communicate with from the moment we booked. He kept the lines open even offering to adjust our dates if the weather messed with our snowboarding plans. Everything we needed was at the cabin and we found it warm and inviting!

Have stayed here several times over recent years. Great location, phenomenal view from the deck/house, very well appointed kitchen too. It's compact but works well for our family of 4.Also have dock for a boat and jet ski which was helpful!

We booked this property for a small family reunion with grandma and we couldn't have picked a better spot. Joe was a great host and quite accommodating. The cottage is beautiful, clean, and full of character. Perfect for our group of 4 adults and a child. The deck has a stunning view of the lake and you can catch a glimpse of the ferry from time to time. The location was convenient and close to the ferry as well as some bars and restaurants, Devils lake is also quite close and a great day activity. The dock is a great area to relax and take a dip. I Strongly recommend looking into renting a pontoon from Burhops nearby. Great service and the boats are easy to operate. Even a four hour rental is well worth it because it's an incredible way to see the lake and some of the natural features that are often ignored from land. the bedroom situation was perfect for our group, If you are a group of elders be warned. One of the bedrooms is a child bunk bed and another is a an incredible loft, but does require a climb that can be quite harrowing if you need to hit the john in the middle of the night.

What a great experience, from the view when you opened the door to fishing off the dock this cabin was a perfect vacation for us. Communicating with the owner was so easy and quick, the location was just a short easy drive to everywhere we wanted to explore but we knew when we came back we could relax and the kids could still be entertained! I’d recommend this cabin to anyone!

Cabin looks exactly as pictured and is very clean. Owner responds quickly. The views from the deck are gorgeous. The fishing is great right off the dock. Shops, grocery, pharmacy, etc is 10 minutes away. Great cabin getaway.

This was our second stay at the house. It is a perfect location, central to the Merrimac Ferry, Devil's Lake, Sauk City, and numerous restaurants. It offers a beautiful view on a quiet spot on Lake Wisconsin. Joe is very responsive and so easy to work with. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Very clean, cozy cottage for a relaxing long weekend. Cottage was supplied well with everything you need from board games to linens to kitchen utensils. Dock had enough space to tie up our 21’ boat easily. We would definitely rent again!

We had stayed at this location a number of years ago and found it just wonderful as we had back then. Joe was great to communicate with, responsive and helpful. The panoramic view of the lake was even better than I recall. We were a group of 4 adults and the cabin was good size for that number. A few kids would have worked out too.

Rental experience was great, Joe was an excellent host. Communication was above average. My kids enjoyed the bunk beds, swimming, and games. I enjoyed the views of the lake all day from sunrise drinking coffee on the deck to night by the fire eating smores and timing the ferry.

The property is kind of a dream spot for a little lakeside cottage. The house itself is an adorable A-frame (which means it's pretty tight on the inside, but a great use of space to comfortably fit three bedrooms plus a bunk room). The view is beautiful, and we liked just hanging out on the deck, grilling, and enjoying the quiet spot. There's a fire pit and a canoe as well. The location is super convenient, about ten minutes to pretty much everything on this side of the ferry, and still only 5 minutes from the ferry to head towards devils lake, etc. Joe was really helpful and easy to text with throughout our stay (but note to others with Verizon, there is very minimal service around the lake). Will definitely come back.

We LOVED this cabin. The cabin did not feel like a “cabin”. The interior finishing were bright and modern. Everything was very nice, new and good quality, especially the linens. The beds were very comfortable. We had good time cooking family meals and enjoyed eating out on the deck. The view of the lake is stunning, beautiful sun sets. The kids enjoyed boat rides to the sand bar and stops for ice cream. Joe was so kind and responsive. This rental is a true gem!!

Cabin was cute and well-maintained on the inside. Everything that you would need for a weekend stay was available, air conditioning worked great, coffee and stove/oven all good, beds were comfy and clean, and outdoor grill worked well. The large queen-sized bed was up in the loft which made it a bit challenging for us, but that was as advertised. Also, the view was incredible and Joe was responsive to us when we contacted him. Outdoor space had lots of old spider webs/debris on deck, railing going down to water, and dock/ladder on dock. There was no firewood available so plan to bring your own. There was a canoe but it was halfway up the steps and was extremely heavy. Plan to have Joe bring it down to the water if you want to use it (which he did offer to do for us). Overall, not a good fit for us.

Cabin was clean with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Air conditioning worked great, we like it cold at night. Beds were comfy. Overall a nice place to relax in and around the cabin or out on the lake boating or at the many restaurants available to get by boat.
