We had a lovely stay on the last week of season at this property. The evenings were cool, but we were cozy in the cabin with the electric heaters and the wood burning stove. The kitchen was very well equipped which allowed us to prepare meals required since we were staying with our dog - also a big plus for us at the cabin. Kevin was easy to communicate with and gave us several suggestions of favorite hikes with dogs. The cabin is basic, but comfortable and in a great location for travels to the National Park and other points on MDI. Highly recommended for a couple or small family with a dog(s).

The home was adorable and cozy, the owners were extremely helpful and it was just a few mins from everything we needed to do. We loved sitting by the wood stove and spending family time in the evening after night fishing and shell searching.

Cabin location is magnificent, large deck and sitting area right on water with easy access to rocky beach. View sunrise on water. Close to Acadia Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Cabin is rustic but clean and tidy, loved wood-burning stove, large deck, and easy access driveway.

Great location with shore views from balcony and a short walk to a shore deck and stairs down to the rocky beach. Very quiet, far from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, but close enough quick trip there for meals, cruises etc. Minutes drive from Acadia park entrance. Great family room and kitchen/dinning area. The only reason we gave 4 stars overall is that the bathroom is very small, and the light fixture over the kitchen sink kept falling when we turned it on and off. The owner and the manager were very responsive and kind. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great View & quiet Location Close to Acadia and nearby towns. Basic Cabin. Small rooms but had what needed. Great View and quiet location to get away from crowds.

The cabin was everything I imagined and more! The location was excellent and in close proximity to Acadia hikes and the village center! The privacy and the surrounding areas near water were pretty and accessible and great for local walks! Highly recommend

We loved this rental! The pictures online don’t give the view of the water justice. Low tide offered a great opportunity to comb the beach for treasures and make memories. The cabin is close to the park entrance and downtown while still giving a quiet retreat to relax after a day of exploring. This was the perfect spot for our family of 5 (kids ages 4-9). Highly recommended!

The cabin was exactly as I expected. It is just a short walk to the beach, which was very nice. Unfortunately it was a cold and rainy week, so the cabin was pretty damp. I was thankful for the extra blankets and towels. It was clean and check-in was easy.

We had a lovely stay at the cabin for a week with our family. The description and comments on the reviews are accurate and fair so it was what we expected. Our kids really enjoyed the beach, especially during low tide. We found sea glass, crabs and sand dollars on the beach which was fun!

Stayed here for the week with my fiancé to have a nice quiet week together to relax and enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia. The cabin is AWESOME! Beautiful views of the water and we were lucky enough to have the shared deck all to ourselves so we spent a lot of time chilling down there. The location is perfect for trips into town as well as exploring Acadia, and everything else about the cabin is exactly as advertised. We had an amazing time and cannot wait to to come back! Highly recommend booking this spot!!!

I enjoyed my stay in the guesthouse. The cottage has a deck with a beautiful water view or you can walk a hundred feet to the deck which is overlooking the water. I took a walk on the beach at low tide. The inside of the cabin is rustic but comfortable. I used both heaters in the kitchen and living areas in the evening and I was quite comfie. The cottage had all the kitchen tools that I needed. The cottage is about a 5 minute drive to the Hulls Cove visitor center in Acadia NP and also a short drive to Bar Harbor. The owner is very easy to reach.

Check in and out were easy. They also allowed me to check in early which was appreciated after a very long car ride from Maryland. I had great communication with the property manager. While the neighbors had some arbor work being done during my stay, that did not deter me from finding tranquility in the wee-early morning hours watching the sunrise on the Mt. Desert Narrows. During the days I was hiking, biking, or paddling. I took advantage of the great location of the guest house. The other visitors at properties were nice and cordial, offering advice and suggestions. The cabin is rustic and just what I wanted for this vacation. Having wi-fi available was a win since I had some minor things to do for a volunteer project I had. I was able to cook everything on the stove/oven with plentiful pots/pans and utensils. The fridge had much room for my food needs as well. I can't wait to return.

We loved our stay there with our family. We loved the fire place, walk to the waterfront, and BBQ on the patio.

I stayed at the Guest House for one week with my elementary school-aged kids. The home has water views and access, all the basic necessities and is perfect if you're hoping to have a relaxing, quiet vacation. The location is perfect for accessing Acadia National Park--one of the entrances is a five-minute drive away. Bar Harbor isn't much farther and offers food and shopping.

We stayed a week in the Guest House. The views and beach access were incredible. We found starfish, clams, mussels, and on our last day we watched seals eating schools of fish from the deck.
The house is small and charming. Everything you need for a week stay, including stuff for cooking. There is no AC, but that was no problem with the high only being 75 and opening the windows. The owner was very communicative and responsive, including providing an email of recommended eateries and activities.
Overall a great stay and I’d happily stay here again.

Our family loved staying in the Guest House. The backyard deck and the access to the water was amazing. We were able to kayak, fish, find mussels and watch sunsets over the water right on the property. The house was just what we needed. Thank you!

Wonderful, cozy cabin. We had a great time here in Bar Harbor and enjoyed the cabin. It was a little more rustic than I expected, but I admit that is probably my own fault for not thinking about what a cabin is versus a cottage. We loved sitting on the deck and relaxing, also enjoyed the view of water while eating breakfast in the mornings. There was a new staircase to access the waterfront area, we spent some time looking for rocks/seashells. The kitchen and utensils were sufficient for the few meals we cooked there. The dining room table was a great size and provided plenty of space for eating together. It was pretty hot inside the cabin during our stay, the week we stayed it was upper 80's every day. Putting fans in the windows definitely helped circulate the air and make it less stuffy, unfortunately only 1 fan was provided so we ended up going to the store and buying a few additional fans. We also struggled a bit with the lighting but I understand there is only so much you can do. A ceiling fan/light in the main living room area would make a huge difference. A small vacuum would be very helpful to keep the floors clean, it seemed there was always a bit of dirt inside. The beds were comfortable and offered plenty of sleeping space for 5 people. Under the beds could use an occasional cleaning, there is about an inch thick of dust and hair which I accidentally discovered while looking for my son's lost toy. The towels were great and we appreciated that they were supplied, a few extra towels would have been helpful though because with the hot/humidity inside they never fully dried so a couple days into our stay they were getting a little smelly. Overall we had a great stay. It's about a 5 minute drive downtown, very easy to come and go as you please. The cabin is located in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, we felt very safe and comfortable. The host was wonderful and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Great property! And thank you for having us.

Nice rustic cabin
We found the description accurate that this is a nice rustic cabin. We were attracted by the affordable price, knowing that the place would not be fancy. Basic amenities but very complete furnishings.
Had contact with prop mgr Kevin for a couple missing items in the kitchen and he delivered very quickly. Definitely would stay here again.
We truly appreciated the new steps leading down to the water. We spent a lot of time exploring the rocky beach.

Everything We Had Hoped For!
We were looking for a rustic cabin in the area of Acadia National Park and discovered this wonderful cabin cottage located just minutes from both Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. All of the essentials were provided and there were space heaters available in case the nights got a little chilly, but we did not need them. My wife, daughter, and son-in-law were here for the week and I can say without hesitation if the opportunity presents itself, we will definitely return! Communication with Kevin was outstanding from the suggested places to eat and visit from the initial reservation to a text check-in after arrival to make sure everything was in order. Partial views of Frenchman Bay from the cabin are further revealed with a brief walk down to the deck and descending steps to the shore of the Bay where we observed otters (a seal, perhaps?) chasing schools of fish for breakfast! This cabin served as a wonderful respite from exploring Acadia NP and resting from several of our numerous hikes and forays into the park. Very grateful for the family memories created here and could not have been more pleased with the cabin!

Guest House on Frenchman's Bay
Overall this property was a lovely, rustic camp with a nice view and quiet surroundings. The grill, woodstove & electric heaters were all appreciated & used. Unfortunately the TV setup (which we did finally get to work) was frustrating. Maybe supply a Roku? Other recommendations: effective doormats for deck and entry area, improved interior lighting, adjustable shower head for bathroom & vacuum cleaner to pick up dog hair and tree debris.

The perfect Maine getaway!
This place is beautiful and just far enough away from Bar Harbor that you feel like you can either engage in the city or just spend time in the cabin

Kevin was a very welcoming host, very communicative and responsive. The cabin was most comfortable, especially with the wood burning stove to take the morning chill out of the air. Great access to Bar Harbor and Acadia. A very restful and enjoyable stay!

Cozy Cabin
Can't get much better in this area than this cabin. Super quiet and very close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The owners were very responsive and provided plenty of recommendations for things to see and do in the area. I'd recommend this cabin to anyone looking to visit Acadia!

Great get away
We loved this cabin. Tucked away from the main roads but short drive to downtown. We cooked most nights of our stay and the pans and knives were all good quality. Towels were nice quality too! We definitely recommend this place.

Perfect Acadia getaway
Mu husband and I and our dog had a fabulous week at the Guest House. It was so quiet with a beautiful view of the water. The location also is perfect for getting to the park and around the area. The cabin was everything we needed and we would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well equipped. View of the bay was wonderful. We saw seals and and bald eagles while sitting on the porch and heard owls when dark. IT WAS SO QUIET, no road noise.
The only issues we had was that there was no beach access and no stairs going down the cliff to the Beach as the description stated. That was disappointing. Also, there is a need for a safety handrail for the steps leading into the cottage. Additionally, keep in mind, the heat is provided by portable electric heaters.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay, Thank you!

We had a great stay at the guest house, it was conveniently located to the park. We enjoyed star gazing on the deck and making s'mores on the wood burning stove. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything that you needed to prepare a meal. Just to note - the blankets in the twin bedroom were a little on the thinner side, but there were plenty of space heaters to make up for it.

Second year in a row. Appreciated the improvements and, as always, owner is very accommodating. Love our little home away from home.

Comfortable, rustic, dog friendly with ocean view.
We walked in and thought of Maine Cabin Masters! Although it's rustic, it's charming and cozy. We loved sitting on the front porch watching the water and boats. (It's a short walk down to a waterfront deck with picnic table). Bedrooms and bathroom are small but the bed was comfortable and there was hot water and fluffy towels. It's a short drive to the Park and BH but there are lots of interesting restaurants not far in either direction - so great location. Dog friendly:)! Loved our stay.

Our cabin was fantastic. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP but still secluded enough to enjoy the quiet sounds of the Frenchmans Bay.

Beautiful View
The house was small but in a great location with a beautiful view. My kids loved going down to the deck over looking the water to just watch the tides anytime we were at the house with no plans.

My husband and I spent a lovely week at the Guest House. The location was perfect, close to the park visitors center and Bar Harbor, yet felt private and secluded. The best feature by far is the deck with a view of the water. We also enjoyed the wood burning stove on chilly nights.
The cabin is definitely a rustic cabin. Not fancy, but it had everything we needed to be comfortable. The pics are accurate. Kevin was responsive and tended quickly to any concerns.
I highly recommend as a place to relax and as a launch point for the park. Plenty of room for two; 5 might feel tight. You need to be comfortable with a rustic, woodsy, cabin vibe.
