About this condo rental
Situated in Sanibel Island, this charming condo for $240 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. ****Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. All public beach accesses are open, there are approximately 30 restaurants now open, as well as a few shops including Jerry’s Grocery. The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit. Expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so expect noise, trucks & equipment at your property and throughout the island. Construction noise from interior work in adjoining or nearby units. The exterior of building #2 and the lanais will be HAND PAINTED May 6- May 24th with temporary plastic to cover windows and lanais. Parking will be limited to spaces away from building. All elevators are working. The pool, tennis & pickleball courts are now open*** Loggerhead Cay #263 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with a partial angled view of the Gulf. With a full kitchen and open living area, this unit can accommodate up to 6 guests. Relax and enjoy your downtime on the screened-in lanai that overlooks the serene courtyard and pool. This is a family-friendly complex with 168 units and a short walk to direct beach access. The owner provides beach equipment for your convenience. Loggerhead Cay complex amenities include: a heated pool, gas grills, pickleball/tennis courts and shuffleboard. Located only a short distance from the Sanibel Causeway as well as the shops and restaurants along Periwinkle Way. This is a non-smoking complex. **Sleeper Sofa sheets available upon request only**

Lovely location. Complex was well kept and offered wonderful beach access. One issue we had was the carpet in the unit. It needs changing. Unit was good size, some things a bit dated, but pics accurate. Couches and carpet could use a refresh. Overall a good unit, would be excellent with those couple changes. Management was great.

Unit was as described. Kitchen & dining are roomy. Really appreciated the beach chairs & umbrella at the unit. Though we did not use the beach towels at the unit, that was a nice perk as well.

The individual unit was very clean and well appointed. The condo complex appears well maintained and managed. Unfortunately, we had noisy neighbors. We could hear the people in the unit above walking. The unit above and to the right was was having new laminate flooring and baseboards installed. I guess this is all part of condo living but it was irritating to us. We will try to stay in top floor units from now on.

My experience was excellent! We often used the service of stopping into the Sanibel Holiday office to get free daily newspapers and ask advice for dinner recommendations, etc. It's location near Jerry's supermarket was most helpful.

Our condo was amazing. It had everything you would ever want. It was like being at home without the resposibilities. Other than Red Tide beginning to move in, the week was amazing! The weather was great and we spent most of our time enjoying the beaches up and down the coast from Sanibel to Captiva. Loved the shops and grocery stores. We so enjoyed just relaxing and spending time with good friends. Would definitely book there again. Even played Powerball to try to win enough to not go back!

We had a great time. We stayed a week and loved every minute. It was a very short walk to the beach. We strolled the beach every day and enjoyed looking for shells. We also rented bikes and rode all over the island. We never ate a meal at the same place because we wanted to try as many places as possible and we were never disappointed. We found the condo very neat and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. This was a great place to relax and have some fun.

This is our second time staying at Loggerhead Cay. The property is outstanding! Beautiful, maintained pool. Our unit was a bit dated, as the bathrooms need updated as well as some of the living room furniture but it did not distract from our vacation.

The complex was in a great location. The ocean and pool were amazing. The condo was nice it had a very well supplied kitchen, beach chairs, floats and an beach umbrella. It needed a good deal clean and the light and fan in the second bedroom bath would work sometimes but not work other times. The exhaust fan in that bathroom was louder then loud. Over all after we vacuumed and wiped off the counters it was a great vacation.

The complex was in a great location. The ocean and pool were amazing. The condo was nice it had a very well supplied kitchen, beach chairs, floats and an beach umbrella. Traveling to Florida via road trip we stayed at several hotels along the way that were cleaner and in better repair for one-third of the cost. The furniture was as pictured but old and uncomfortable. The location and pool were the main selling points but the value for those things was way out of line. We have been coming to Sanibel for 35 years and this is the first negative experience that we have had.The carpets were stained and refrigerator was dirty. The cookware should have been discarded long ago since it the coating on the pots were worn away. The washing machine was ridiculously loud and the dishwasher did not work. properly. The management blamed the owner and we were not able to connect with the owner. According to the management the return of the security deposit is held for another month in case we purchased movies. I believe that the rentals could be checked before the bill arrived. Last but not least, I walked out of the bathroom to find a man standing in the condo. He said he was measuring for new windows. His shirt said, Sanibel Glass. We should have been notified if work was going to performed. Poor communication or something else?

We loved enjoying the morning sun on the lanai and watching the sunset out the front door. A few minor maintenance items were quickly resolved (note: two of the best beach chairs were broken but there are still 4+ chairs available). Well stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings (note: one of the chairs is a recliner), several jigsaw puzzles to complete. Beach was a quick walk from the unit. We really enjoyed the Loggerhead Cay facility, location, tennis courts for pickle ball, pool and its grassy courtyard. This unit however is a little tired. The washing machine needs to be replaced immediately as the spin cycle is excessively loud. We couldn't carry on a conversation while in the unit - it could be heard in the parking lot two floors down! The smaller bedroom has peeling paint on the ceiling and one twin bed has a stain on the box spring. The smaller bathroom's shower had some black material (mold?) on the inside of the shower at the floor - so this needs either a deep cleaning and/or caulk removal and replacement. The kitchen's pantry has a rollout drawer that is broken. Overall, we really enjoyed Loggerhead, it's just that this unit needs some updating. We wouldn't consider this unit again unless some updating occurred.

Our experience was good. A few things that might be taken care of are: removing cracked bowls, platter in the kitchen. The light outside the master bedroom did not work. The lamps on either side of the bed plugged into the outlet behind the bed did not work so we plugged them into the outlets beside the bed. Was this a fuse problem? The twin bed mattresses were not comfortable. The pool was great as one could swim laps.

This was our second year staying at Sanibel and our first renting a condo for a week. The location was perfect and development well maintained. Next visit we will rent another condo but will look for one a little less dated and a bit more "feel good." Loggerhead 263 was fine and met our needs, but clearly needs some TLC.
