No nighttime beach party noise, but still close enough to roast marshmallows with the kids before retiring. The living area is a delightfully relaxing, open, combined living/kitchen space with a bedroom and bath at each end. If clean and comfortable are important to you, this is a jewel. 'Westin Heavenly Bed' king mattress in the master bedroom & nice Ikea twin mattresses in the second bedroom. The living area and master bedroom include flat-panel smart TV's. Upgraded high-speed WIFI & printer are available. Granite counters, ceiling fans, a/c and plush carpeting throughout. New washer, dryer & dishwasher in May 2015. New refrigerator and range in 2020. Your private entry gate is complete with security code. You will be delighted at being just steps away from many of the area's best casual and fine-dining restaurants. This was our third time staying at this property because we love it so much! There is the perfect amount of space for our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) to hang out. Terrie is such a thoughtful host! The location is perfect - close to a ton of cute restaurants and shops. Description is very accurate, as are the pictures. Everything you need for a week at the beach is included (toys, towels, coolers, wagon and boogie boards). Highly recommend this property!!

I stayed here with my husband and two boys (ages 3 and 5) and it was perfect for us. Location was ideal with a short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants and dining. Also central for our trips to the zoo, safari park, USS Midway, and Coronado. The place was equipped with everything we needed and the owner was incredibly responsive to our questions. We’re already talking about planning another trip back to stay here again!

We've used vrbo the last 10+ years domestically and internationally and I've never had a listing more accurate than this one. It was a perfect week in La Jolla Shores. Terrie was an excellent hostess right from the beginning. She provided excellent communication and customer service. It was our first time to this area and she gave us loads of recommendations. She checked in with us before we traveled, once we'd arrived and was always punctual via text when we had questions.
The house was perfect for us; traveling as a family we have 3 teenagers. Enough space for everyone, 2 bathrooms, big kitchen/lounge area. Our 6'3" son found the couch and pull out bed comfortable. Abundant supply of bath towels, linens, blankets/pillows, beach towels, kitchen supplies, beach chairs. The garage was so helpful as we found parking to be a challenge everywhere.
The location of the house is fantastic! Short walk to the beach, restaurants, small market and ice cream. We appreciated a few days where we didn't even get in the car. While it's an active street during the day, inside the house and at night it's peaceful. We didn't have any noise concerns and we were here over a holiday weekend. Terrie was a fantastic hostess, the apartment was perfect and made for a wonderful week! Definitely 5 Stars from us!

We stayed at this property in June and it was perfect for our family of 4, including two littles. It was just as described and as the pictures showed. The location is perfect; it’s walking distance to the beach and steps from restaurants that were all family friendly. I was a little nervous if the location would be loud at night, but as described in the posting and other reviews, it is quiet at night despite being so close to everything. We cooked breakfast every day and had all the kitchen supplies we would need plus more than enough options for the beach including chairs and toys.
Terri the host sent the check in instructions early and checked on what we needed for our littles, which was appreciated. She also checked in to make sure everything was going ok. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time staying in this unit. It is a perfect location for easy access to La Jolla Shores beach and all the restaurants in La Jolla Shores by walking just a matter of steps. The unit is perfect for our family of four, including two toddlers. My kids love all the toys and kids books in the unit. The unit is super clean, fully stocked kitchen and plenty of beach gear. The garage is also a plus if you have a rental car, which we did. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful, comfortable apartment equipped with everything you need, located 2 blocks from the beach and a stone's throw from great coffee shops and restaurants. Best of all, Terrie, the host, was thoughtful and helpful throughout, and she was exceptionally generous and flexible when we needed to extend our stay. A wonderful person and a wonderful place.

We have been enjoying family vacations in La Jolla (and this condo) for almost ten years.) The condo comes with free Wi-Fi, towels, beach towels, toys, a wagon, beach umbrella and chairs, washer/dryer, etc. (everything you need for a perfect and relaxing vacation,) It is walking distance to the beach and all of the restaurants. Terrie is always super responsive, accommodating. and sweet. We can’t wait for Summer Vacay 2023!!

Great property. Pictures do not do this rental justice. Terrie was a great host and location and proximity to beach was great! It was close to downtown, 20 mins drive at most to most tourist attractions we visited. If our family goes to San Diego again, we would definitely look into staying here again! Thank you Terrie

Very special home in La Jolla Shores
This beautiful, immaculate, and centrally located apartment in La Jolla Shores is so special that my husband and young child try to stay here whenever we are in San Diego. Terrie, the owner and host, is incredibly gracious, wonderful, generous and communicative, and she will make you feel like you are in a truly exceptional place, and you are! This unit has such a warm & positive feeling, aside from every comfort and amenity you could possibly need. Plenty of room to spread out, dedicated parking spot in private garage, and all the beach towels, chairs, and toys you could need. The location could not be better, right on the main street of Shores, just steps from the beach, but quiet and peaceful. My family and I are so grateful to the owners! Highly recommended, don't think twice about it!

Fabulous location; effortless rental.
If you would like the comforts of home, this is the place. We have found that rentals where the owners once lived are most comfortable, and this one was indeed. It has all the little things that make a stay effortless--hooks for the towels, a place for the wet swimsuits, great instructions. The location cannot be beat. You can walk to the beach, the restaurants, the coffee shops and two local groceries. Excellent guidance from the owners.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Week
We stayed for a week . Terrie’s home had plenty of room for us and 2 adult kids. Kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to cook Thanksgiving dinner with ease. LJ Shores neighborhood is delightful with several restaurants, surf shops, etc all very convenient. Shore Kitchen breakfast is fabulous! Apartment is a very easy 2 block walk to the beach. Entire unit is better than advertised. We’ll be back!!

Terri always make sure that everything you need is in the condo. It’s always clean and ready when we arrive. We have come several times during the pandemic, and she make sure that everything sanitized and that Covid protocols are followed. During this stay, we enjoyed using the chairs, beach toys, and towels to go to the beach every day. We had a wonderful dinner at Cowboys and Mermaids and visited the Brick and Bell Café daily. The condo has everything you need for a wonderful trip and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. We are looking forward to our next day!

Another Awesome Stay!
This is our favorite place to stay in La Jolla. It is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, kayak rentals, stores, etc. The condo is always clean and fully stocked with towels, toys, and anything a family needs for a great stay. During our week’s stay, we had an amazing dinner at Mermaids & Cowboys. We cooked at the condo and also enjoyed Dinner and drinks out at some of the local businesses. It was a great Spring Break. We love this condo, La Jolla Shores, and Terrie (She always makes sure guests have everything they need to have a perfect time!!

Our favorite VRBO
This is the 6th or 7th time we have rented this condo. My family and I usually come during the summer for a couple of weeks. This year, due to Covid (and needing a break from Distance Learning), we decided to come during Thanksgiving break as well. The condo is always clean and has everything a family needs to cook, rest, read, play games, watch movies, go to the beach, etc. and the beach is a short walk away. Terrie is always very responsive and is so SWEET. Our family loves our time at this wonderful condo. Our two boys (11 & 12) and our four-year-old daughter look forward to every trip! We can hardly wait until next summer!
**I should add that two of our trips were during the pandemic. Everything was washed, dried, sanitized, and wrapped up for safety before our arrival.

Excellent beach property
We had a great time at this property. It was a very enjoyable four minute walk along a restaurant and shop lined street to La Jolla Shores beach. The beach was extremely busy so, due to COVID-19, we went in the morning (leaving by about 10:30 am) and in the evening (around 7 pm). We then discovered Scripps beach nearby (15 minute walk or 5 minute drive), which was a little less crowded. We were comfortable there until about 12 pm when it started getting a little crowded (but not as crowded as La Jolla). The property itself is a little older, but it was very bright, cheerfully decorated, and comfortable with everything you need. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever stayed on while at a vacation property. There were plenty of beach towels and toys. There were DVDs, games, and more. It was also stocked with all the essentials (e.g. toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, laundry soap, etc). We needed extra tables and chairs for our kids' computers and Terrie provided them. Terrie was the most accommodating host we ever had! For example, I asked her if there was a blender before we came (thinking we might bring our own) and she said she had an old one, which I thought was perfectly fine. When we arrived she had gone to Costco to get a brand new one. We also mentioned that the hose outside (used to wash off sand) was leaking a bit (just for her own information) and she had it fixed right away while we were at the beach. These are just two examples of many more. We highly recommend this property!

The place is very convenient, has all the amenities you could need and the property manager terrie is very responsive . Loved our stay there is so much to do beach, kayaking, walking , las Jolla cove is a few mins ride. We will definitely be back .

Love this condo
My family and I have been enjoying our summer vacations in Terrie’s Condo for six years. The condo is always clean, well stocked, and ready to go. It has everything you need (dishes, pots and pans, portable crib, air mattress, baby gate movies, TV, board games, towels, beach toys, umbrella, washer and dryer, etc.to have a wonderful stay. Everything you need is right there. The condo is walking distance from many great restaurants, Brick n Bell, ice cream, surfboard/kayak rentals, neighborhood store, and the beach. This year, due to Covid, Terrie had to take many precautions before being allowed to rent the condo out. Everything was cleaned and sanitized and, in some cases, individually wrapped in plastic; we know it took a lot of work and preparation to make it ready for us, and we really appreciate it. Terrie is always VERY responsive, should you need anything. This is our favorite vacation spot, and Terrie makes us feel like we are family. I highly recommend this amazing condo.

Wonderful week at the beach!
This was the second time we’ve stayed at this property and we love it! The location is a short walk to the beach and close to lots of nearby shops and restaurants. Terrie is a wonderful host and has put a lot of thoughtful touches into the property and the amenities. My husband and I were there with our 2 kids and there is plenty of room and everything you could possibly think of to enjoy your stay, including everything needed for a day at the beach. And, the extra cleanliness measures they have put into place due to COVID made us feel confident is our decision to stay there. They have done absolutely everything possible to clean the property between guests. We plan to return again next year.

Great spot for Kids
We had a great stay with our three kids (6,4, 1). Terrie was very helpful on all fronts. Especially providing a high chair, Pak n Play and baby gate (installed!) for our 1-year-old. There were also tons of toys and books to keep the kids entertained. The location is fantastic and the garage parking is key, we even fit a Chevy Tahoe in the garage. One of the nicer rentals we have ever stayed at. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Impeccable, comfortable, all the amenities you may need, and perfect location 2 blocks to La Jolla Shores beach and right on the main street of town. The perfect getaway location
Right from the start, Terrie was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed well before we arrived. Her home was so comfortable and lacked nothing. The location was perfect! It was close to everything; a short drive to wherever we wanted to go. It was so nice to come back home to the quiet quaint area of La Jolla Shores. Other highlights: the spacious living area, washer and dryer, well stocked kitchen, and garage! Terrie recommended the restaurant Osteria Romantica, about a block from her home, of which we tried out on NYE. It was fantastic! The only challenges we had was the complicated tv system in the living room, and the front door locks took a bit of practice before we had it down. We'd love to come back again!
