This property has a true cabin feeling. Cozy but did not have dishwasher!!! My dogs had to go to ER vet because something in the house made then break out in hives. We had a mega snow storm and he street and driveway were not plowed.

Overall great stay!
Overall great stay!
We have stayed at Pineland Chalet 3 or 4 times and have always had a fantastic time with our 2 boys (15 and 17). This time we brought our dog which was an added bonus. I am giving 4 stars because some of the dinner plates from the cupboard were stuck together. We had to soak them to get them apart and since there's no dishwasher at this rental, it means dirty plates. Also, we didn't have a new sponge or any dish soap and were only provided with 2 dish towels for the week. When drying dishes for every meal, 2 towels are not enough. I was going to throw them in the dryer, however, there were wet sheets and towels that must have been left from the previous renters and they were sour and made the whole dryer sour smelling. I did call and housekeeping brought a sponge and a bottle of dish soap the same day.

Cozy house. Enjoyed the 5 day stay but suggest you change your internet provider as the internet connectivity is poor to non-existent. It made our stay very frustrating as could not access the internet and had to leave the house just to connect.

I have been renting property at Lake Tahoe for 40 years. Internet and cell service has become more important over the last 15 years. The mountain terrain presents challenges to these services. To be specific the cell service was one bar at best and the wifi service, which is necessary to supplement the cell service kept going on and off all day. Effectively making it very difficult to call or email anytime during the day. To make a long story short Tahoe Getaways could not get anyone out to fix the wifi during the two weeks I was there. Totally unacceptable in my opinion. The property was really a ski house not an all-season house. Not a great house to rent during the summer particularly with no cell or internet service.
