You'll be just north of town in the desirable Bayshore Estates neighborhood, with miles of uncrowded, pristine sandy beach only a few minutes walk away. A sleepy little fishing village, Waldport is nestled between Newport, 15 miles away to the north, and Yachats, 11 miles to the south. You'll be ideally situated for day trips to the Oregon Coast Aquarium or the state parks and natural sites to the south. At about 150 miles from Portland, Waldport offers peace and tranquility, surrounded by ocean-front state parks and the Siuslaw National Forest to the east. The Alsea River flows into the ocean right at Waldport and offers fishing and boating opportunities and crabbing right from the Alsea Bay Bridge. Restaurants include everything from pizzerias to seafood grills, with galleries and shops dotting the streets along downtown Waldport. When you are not building sandcastles, this contemporary, Scandinavian-inspired retreat boasts tall, wood-beamed ceilings, a wood-burning stove, and gorgeous ocean views from the living area. You'll also have a 46-inch TV and a Blu-ray player for cozy evenings in. In winter, this is an ideal spot for storm-watching out the large picture windows while you stay warm and toasty inside! The bright white kitchen has a refrigerator, stove-top/oven, dishwasher, microwave, and even gadgets like a coffee grinder, blender, and slow cooker. In the evenings, when you don't feel like heading out to one of Waldport's eateries, you'll have everything you'll need for a home-cooked meal. THINGS TO KNOW If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The cute house with the ocean view was just right for our group. Three nice sized bedrooms, two full baths, and a nicely stocked kitchen checked off all of our boxes in a vacation home. When we had a small electrical issue they were fast to respond. We would rent from them again!

This house is a short walk to the beach (mostly downhill there/uphill return), the views from the deck provided beautiful sunsets, there was plenty of space to sit and hangout. The backyard is limited to the deck space and we had 2 children get covered in prickles before we could tell them not to leave the deck. We experienced a few things that were not fully working, customer service was contacted but not able to fix during our stay.

Great location, great view of crashing lively waves! Quiet neighborhood. Lots to do. Stickers were tough for our dog. Enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our trip to Waldport for a week. The house has a great view from the deck and from the gathering room. The place is stocked with good kitchen appliances. The beach was only a few blocks from us. Our only complaint was that you can smell dog urine on the area rugs and in the bedroom carpets. We ended up rolling the carpets up and placing them in the garage.
We would stay here again.

We have stayed at this home several times and always find it spotless and comfortable. View is great and neighborhood quiet. Having a garage to load and unload in is a plus especially if you stay during the winter months. Only item which we wished would be available was a hairdryer. We could not find one this stay.

The house was good overall. **pet owners** I picked the house specifically for my dogs and there is no grass that they can go on. When I arrived we went out the back to the grass and it was full of goat heads and stickers so we needed to go out front to the gravel every time to use the bathroom:(

We had a great week in Yachats with this property as our home base. Wonderful ocean views, great beds, good layout with a few different public spaces that allowed different activities. 4-5 easy blocks to the beach. Super clean! We will definitely be back!

Very comfortable. Nice area. About a 5-8 minute walk to the beach only small thing that needed to be taken care of. Kitchen sparsely stocked. Beds comfortable. Showers were great. Enjoyed our stay.

This is our second visit to this home. We love the view of the ocean and the beds are super comfortable. Like others have said it would be nice to have a remote for the garage door but that is a minor inconvenience. Fyi there is no hairdryer that we could find so take your own if you need to use it.
