About this house rental
Located in Hilton Head Island, this charming house for $775 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. 2 Cedar Wax Wing is a Sea Pines Hilton Head 4 bedroom with private baths home near the South Beach area. This single level home is very spacious with two living areas and a beautiful kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and updated, cabinets. There is an easy flow from the kitchen to the dining area and the two living rooms. As you walk up to the home, the inviting, private pool is at the front of the house. Upon entering the front door there is a casual living room on the left side with a large, sectional sofa. To the right of the front door is another living room, the dining room and kitchen. Two small decks can be found off of this area where you can relax after a day at the beach. The dining area has a huge wooden table with enough seating for 12 - 14. Guests will enjoy the large, open kitchen with tons of counter top space. This open living and dining area has beautiful vaulted ceilings with wood beams. The living room also features a 50 inch flat panel TV as well as a sleeper sofa for additional guests. Off of the living area is a bedroom with a king size bed and a trundle bed with 2 twins. It has a private bath with double sinks, a separate shower and large whirlpool tub. This bedroom also has access to the front pool area. On the other side of the house, past the second living room, are the three other bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king size bed, a trundle bed with 2 twins and a French door leading to a small deck. It also has a private bath with a shower. The second bedroom also has a king size bed with a private bath with separate shower. The third bedroom has a king size bed with a door to a small deck. It has a private bath with the standard tub/shower combination. Additionally, there is a half bath off of the living area. This charming 5th row ocean home is a mere 2 or 3 minute walk to the beach. It is the perfect home for a family vacation with its open floor plan and the spacious living areas.

This place was absolutely perfect for our extended family of 8! Spacious house with plenty of gathering space and lots of quiet bedrooms.
Great location! Only a few minutes walk to the beach and an easy 15 min stroll to Salty Dog Cafe and South Beach bike rentals.
Very well appointed… lots of kitchen supplies, plenty of toiletries, even an abundance of beach chairs we could use. Loved the location, layout and setup of the place. Doug was a responsive and fabulous host. We’ll definitely come back next time we can gather the family in Hilton Head.

We had a quick stay. Only slept at the house but did get down to the beach which is an easy walk. House was laid out perfectly for larger families and had everything we needed. Of note: gate fee is $20, cash only.

Positive things: 1) the house is huge! The two living rooms are far enough apart that you can each watch something different and not disturb each other. But, close enough to where you can talk, if you would like. The 4 King bedrooms each with an ensuite bath is wonderful and uncommon; 2) The house location is great! You walk in between the two houses that are behind you and you are at the path to the beach! 3) The Beds are comfortable! 4) The host was very friendly. He answered many of my questions prior to me booking and was quick to respond.
Not so positive: 1) After I made my payment the host was not as quick to respond. This was especially frustrating on day of arrival when we had an issue. And when there were 3 empty gas bottles and the one on the grill ran out while attempting to grill out our first time after I asked about the gas grill prior to arrival; 2) the yard and outside of the house needs to be sprayed. I received over 40 mosquito bites in less than an hour the first day. The pool area had ants all around it; 3) several of the TVs do not work (one cuts on and off, one had a bad plug to the cable box, one is missing a remote for the cable; 4) there are a lot of items that need maintenance. The icemaker leaks water in the floor, the gas stove ignitor is on the entire time you're cooking, boards on the deck and benches are rotten, toilets run, etc; 5) the house needs a deep clean. Mold was in the freezer, the showers had white soap scum all over, etc

Large home located in Sea Pine, walk to nice private beach. Wagons came in handy. Kitchen well stocked. Home was mostly clean, there several areas with thick dust cleaners missed. 4 1/2 bathrooms was a great plus. All mattress very firm, took me a few days to get use to.
My issue is with a rental in this price range , it should be better taken care of. Needs painted inside an out, repair if somethings such as kitchen sink faucet was lose, mirror in bathroom needs to be replaced. Yard needs work as well. Too much furniture in master. We did heat the pool, which was worth it . Children and teenagers probably wouldn’t care.

Location to beach was excellent! Close to the Salty Dog. The house was very well stocked. Everything you need to have a fun day at the beach. Kitchen had everything you would need to fix a meal. The house was a perfect setup for families.

The house was perfect for our family. Plenty of space, well stocked kitchen with pots and pans plates ect. The 4 bedrooms each with a bath was a plus. We enjoyed the pool, and close to the lovely secluded beach.
The pool and pool deck got very messy with the storms we had...lots of leaves and sticks but not sure how to remedy that...
The bathrooms could use some attention..updating but overall we felt very comfortable here and would love to come back!

The four king bed ensuite bedrooms with tvs were ideal for our adult cousins gathering. Two of the larger bedrooms also feature trundle beds if you need more space. We loved the 14 person dining table and two living rooms with tvs. Kitchen is huge and fully stocked with everything you need to cook. The owner also allowed us to bring 2 dogs who had a blast on the beach. We opted to pay to heat the pool which allowed us to enjoy it. The pool is at the front of the property and not child proof with gates or safety fencing (didn't apply to us but may be concern to those with young children). Sea Pines beach was wonderful and very private as only residents and guests have accesss. Owner Doug was helpful when booking and responsive. We definitely would rebook if we return to HHI.

Property is in a really nice locations 5-6 mins from beach. Interior is comfortable, beds and baths are fine. Kitchen is good size but tired, knives cannot cut butter. exterior of the house is very tired and poorly maintained. Owner quite responsive, grill needed to be replaced and was, heater control broke and was replaced right away, no complaints. There are 14 bikes in garage but you need to rent ones to use, very expensive. No parking pass so you need to buy one each week for each car. owner did eventually get ones for us.
This property is pretty deep in Sea Pines located on the south side. If you only leave once a day it is ok, if you plan to leave 2-3 times a day you have just added 2 hrs in driving to get in and out of sea pines, which is just too long. The house needs a freshener up to continue to get the max rent it can. Lights are bad around the property, swimming pool needs water so must be a small leak and only one skimmer works. It’s not a bad house, I just think (our 5th year renting for a
month) there are better value for the price.

We took a girl's trip with our dogs and had a great time! The house was perfect for our group-even better than we expected! We loved the layout of the house-there was plenty of space to spread out and the kitchen was amazing! The property was stocked with ample supplies of high-quality towels, toiletries, toilet paper and tissues. Usually, we have to run out to buy these items but, in this case, we didn't need to! The kitchen was well-stocked with any cooking utensil you could possibly need. Plenty of dishes and silverware. The house was very clean, and the pool was clean and heated as requested by us when we arrived. The location couldn't be better for the price! The neighborhood was quiet, which is always a plus. The gas grill was clean and there was plenty of propane. The owner, Doug, is responsive, easy to work with, and very accommodating. If you plan to travel to Hilton Head with a group, a family, with kids and or dog(s), this is the place for you! The price is very reasonable, and you won't be disappointed! I would definitely rent again in the future!

My husband & I loved our week in this house! We didn't use the pool but we loved having a wagon to carry our things to the beach! Everything was clean & decorated so nice! We had toiletries, towels, paper towels, soaps all provided. Thanks for the hospitality! We'd love to come again!

Great home for families! We had 4 adults and 3 toddlers and had more than enough room! Wonderfully equipped kitchen and great big table to enjoy family meals! Two family room areas was a huge plus also! We did pay to have pool heated and we’re so glad we did! Spent many evenings in the pool! Communication with owner was wonderful. We did have a situation which could not have been anticipated. Doug and his maintenance man were amazingly quick having it taken care of. We would definitely recommend this home and hope to stay here again!

Had a great time at 2 Cedar Waxwing! We came to HHI to visit friends who also live in Sea Pines. Easy walking to beach and easy walk to South Beach (Salty Dog). We are big Pickleball players, and enjoyed 3 great round robin play days at SouthBeach. House is spacious, making it easy to relax. We were able to have friends over and grill. The kitchen is well appointed for a large family gathering. Bedrooms are spacious and there are 2 "den" areas. Great stay! Would definitely recommend!

Our family loved staying at this house. We had 12 adults and two dogs, it was the perfect amount of space for us. The location is great, a solid five minute walk to the beach. We can’t wait to come back!

First off, Doug was very responsive to communication right from booking. The house was the perfect size for our large family. Each bedroom was comfortable and had their own bathrooms and there was surprisingly a ton of closet space.
The kitchen had so much counter space, a wide selection of pots and pans, mugs, cups, place settings for everyone and more. Coffee maker, waffle maker, keurig and toaster were also available. There is a spice cabinet that was very convenient for cooking our meals.
I think my favorite parts were the 12 person dining table, the ‘porch’ pool and the short walk to the beach. Thank you for also having every thing in the garage that is needed for a day at the beach.
I can not recommend Doug’s property enough!!

Easy communication with the owner. Great extras to use for the beach and easy walk to beach. The beach in that area is to me one of the best on the island. Added bonus is quick drive or short bike ride to The Salty Dog area.

2 Cedar Waxwing helped to make our week in Sea Pines fabulous. The house was perfect for our family. It was spacious, the kitchen well equipped, and the closeness to the beach was outstanding. The home was located in a quiet neighborhood close to South Beach. It was wonderful not to be in the busier sections of Sea Pines. We will certainly try to stay again in the future!

Great Home and Great Location
We had an amazing time the week of June 25th- July 2nd. This home had a great location short walk to the beach. We loved having the wagons so we didn’t have to bring ours which gave us extra space in the cars. We hope to come back again!!!

Family vacation
My family and I were very happy we chose this house for our annual trip (8 adults, 3 babies). The 4 spacious bedrooms had their own private bath which was so nice. The two living rooms were open and had plenty of seating- the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The kitchen table seats 12+! We sat by the pool daily and the walk to the beach was 5 minutes. The property owner was great to work with! If we visit HH again, we will stay here. Beautiful neighborhood. 12 minute walk to The Salty Dog.
