Villa Soleil is a charming vacation rental home in the gated community of Destiny East. This rental comes with 2 complimentary 6 seater electric street legal golf carts and 4 bikes with helmets. The beach is less than 1/4 mile from the house. You can easily walk, bike ride, or load up the golf cart for a fun filled day at the beautiful beach or enjoy the community pool, hot tub, fitness center, movie theater, and more! This vacation rental home offers you 2000 sq ft of comfort and design to make your vacation experience as comfortable as home, and features a beautiful, large and fully equipped kitchen, complete with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The dining room connects to the large living area. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms offer enough space to accommodate 14 family members and friends. The master bedroom includes a king size bed and master bathroom. The 2nd bedroom features a queen size bed. The 3rd bedroom has two twin beds and two full size beds. There are also two additional queen size sleeper sofas. The outdoor area features a screened-in lanai, a private pool (that can be heated for an additional fee), and a gas grill, perfect for a family BBQ or reunion. This house is beautiful and has plenty of space. However, there were a few issues we encountered. The front bedroom is so hot. Too hot to sleep comfortably in. I understand the sun is hot and it hits the front of the house but something should be done to make it more comfortable and no the box fans did not help enough. Also, the yellow golf cart was acting up. One of the main reasons we stayed here was because it had two golf carts, one for each family that was staying in the house. One day it would charge fine and work and the next it wouldn’t work at all. Overall our stay was nice and everyone whom we had contact with for the house was very friendly and helpful.

House very outdated, and tired looking.Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, unreplaced slats in window coverings,no pantry for storage of groceies,mounted microwave didnt work,kitchen table very stained, and kitchen chairs sreeched with every movement on tile floor,and tile floors very dirty with black dirt on bottom socks and slippers despite many washes.Wall clock didn't work despite new battery.Table lamp,knob missing to turn on. Maintenace service great with all issues, as wall as Jamie from Glass Casa

Good things:
It was very family friendly. Nothing was so nice that you were worried about your kids spilling something or messing something up. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes/pots and pans and plastic storage containers we needed. We had great space to hang out in the dining room and living room. When we arrived, lights were on and music was playing. Super welcoming! We loved, loved the golf carts and bikes! We took them to the beach and to the community center for pickle ball, basketball, and the hot tub. Definitely one of the coolest things about the property! Communication and directions were clear and really helpful.
Not so great things:
The pictures showed bar stools, but there weren't any, so there wasn't enough seating for all 10 of us at dinner. Not a big deal, but it woulda been nice. The sofa beds weren't the most comfortable... maybe some extra egg crate foam would help. The guest bathroom shower didn't drain well and a repairman came and said he fixed it. He made it a little better, but it really wasn't fixed. 10 of us taking showers between 2 bathrooms....ugh! We needed that tub to drain. We could've used some extra cozy blankets. I guess it's not usually freezing cold in Florida, but it was those first couple days we were there, so the heat kinda worked, but more blankets would've been useful. Some salt and pepper and kcups provided would've been nice, but we bought them. House rules said they wanted the trash bagged, which was fine, but we stayed 5 days and we only had 2 bags. We ended up using grocery bags as trash bags, but giving a few extra bags might be nice.

To preface our stay, the housekeeping and manager were right on the issues we had. They were very apologetic for the issues we encountered and resolved them as soon as they could. Upon arrival I noticed the floor did not look clean as well as the bathrooms. There was a stain in the master bedroom closet carpet. The pool area only had two sporting event chairs to accommodate the pool area. The microwave did not work, the kitchen utensils provided were rusty and old, and there was very few silverware provided. The sink in the guest bathroom flooded out in the floor. The wallpaper in the master bedroom/ bathroom was falling off wall. The owners of this house need to give this house some immediate attention. It is in a very nice neighborhood and has great potential. I will say everyone I contacted from Glass Casa was wonderful. They wanted to move my family to another house however there was not one available with a private pool. They did as much as they could to help with the issues we encountered. They did give us a full refund which I very much appreciate. Unless the owners have done a complete overhaul of this house, I would not recommend renting.

Great location. Two golf carts was a huge bonus! Gated community gave family comfort. Great amenities at the clubhouse (movie theater, pool, playground, hot tub, tennis and basketball court). Highly recommend! Will be back again.

Was a great location and loved having the golf carts to get around. We did have a couple maintenance issues but those were resolved. The biggest problem was the golf cart having something wrong with it and getting stuck at the beach for several hours until they were able to switch it out. The other being the air conditioner not turning on it kept saying it needed a new filter. The Queen bed was very firm for us.

There was several issues with property. Just to name a few mold in the master shower along with the door broken on the shower. Dirty sheets left on the pull out bed. Had issues with the refrigerator. The pictures of the property online is not exactly what the property looks like.

This was the fourth different home we have rented in the area. Its in a great location. Good price for 5 days. Liked that it came with golf carts. Very spacious. Some of the bedding probably needs to be replaced.

The vacation house was nice, needs a little updating. Trying to get ahold of staff is a little difficult as they hardly answer the phone. I don't like leaving a message and believe they should do a better job at answering the phone. As there was problems with the golf cart, and a couple of items in the home. All in all very nice neighborhood and home. Love the bathroom and shower. Very big and spacious.

Great location with a lovely community pool, fitness center, tennis courts, and theater; and good proximity to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We enjoyed golf at several area courses.
There is a great washer and dryer in the house. The living area is spacious. The master bath is a good size and the shower head is fabulous. The second bath is small.
What we were disappointed by:
While some furniture was in good condition, several pieces were unstable or soiled to the point we could not or would not use them.
The grill is not new, as described on the website. In fact, it was filthy and lacked a propane tank so we couldn't use it until we called about it and it was rectified. The outdoor area needs a good cleaning. The brick appeared to be moldy (a good power washing would likely address that). The ice maker or fridge was filthy and unusable. The rocking chairs on the patio were broken.
We visited in December, when temps dropped rapidly from the previous week. The beds had summer-weight bedding; the gas fireplace was apparently only for aesthetics; and the heat wasn't turned for quite awhile after we called about it.
To be fair, everyone we dealt with was pleasant and responsive. The house just needs some TLC. We looked at other rentals in the area during our visit and they were in better condition than this one. With some paint and new furniture it would be a good rental. For families with kids who don't want to worry about whether they will destroy a very nice place, well, this might be the ticket.

House was well kept, and in a great location. Didn't use the grill or hot tub, so can't speak to those. The golf cart was fantastic and convenient for heading to the beach and the pool. A few curious things - the house has very nicely upgraded appliances, yet the comforter in the master bedroom seemed to be 10+ years old. Seems like the big hitters (appliances, hot tub, etc) have been updated, but some of the smaller details could be updated to further enhance they stay. That being said, this place is a great deal and a great place to stay in Destin. Highly recommended.

Must do Family trip
The property was nice. Had two golf carts only one worked, and was fixed night before we left after being reported day of arrival. Gas grill wasn't clean, but maintenance came and cleaned it after reported. Screen torn out on patio, but was repaired after reported. So, I will give it a go again because prompt attention. All together family had a great time and want to come back.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, one golf cart wasn't working well, breaks kept locking up. Back door was really hard to go in and out of. House was pretty clean but there were some bugs here and there that should have been exterminated prior to and the table needs to be redone, every time we ate at it something else happened to it, very worn. Also the frying pan was very small for large party to try and cook, we had to go buy one. But overall the home was good.

Do not rent this property until you have spoken to someone who has recently stayed.here. Golf carts not at all what you would expect: linens are old and worn: furniture is filthy, mattresses substituted with futon pads. Property managers are not responsive. A more extensive review was sent to VRBO directly.
