Nestled in Jim Thorpe, this charming condo for $194 per night is a great option for your next break. Lodging at it's best! Stay in an upscale Suite in the heart of Jim Thorpe. Van Pelt's Suite on Opera Square is directly across the street from the Mauch Chunk Opera House on Opera House Square! This suite has just been created and feels like you're staying in Soho, NYC. Brand new pillow top mattress, brand new kitchen with all amenities, new reclining sofa, new smart TV and even a washer/dryer. Artwork by Joel LeBow hangs on the walls creating a beautifully relaxing atmosphere. The house was originally owned by Lehigh Valley Navigation, then sold and the first floor was a barber shop. We did have a store also but decided to give this lovely space to guests traveling to Jim Thorpe to enjoy. Come and make memories!

I was never in Jim Thorpe previously and I fell in love with the charm of the town! Great shops and restaurants and this lovely location was within walking distance of everything. Very eclectic art collection, comfortable seating and great space overall. Would highly recommend.

This will be the only property I stay in when going to Jim Thorpe. It's a perfect location with a parking spot. Helen was wonderful to rent from. She is super nice, very helpful, and exceptionally accommodating. It is the perfect place for a couple to stay.

It was truly a joy staying in this lovely, spacious, very well appointed home right in the center of the historic and picturesque town of Jim Thorpe. Helen and Steve were the perfect host and hostess. They were there if needed, but gave us complete privacy. They have done a highly admirable job of stocking a very well re-modeled kitchen, stocked with everything you need and more - all high quality appliances, dishwater, cookware, the works! Although the weather was cold during our stay, the apartment was always warm and comfortable. The thermostat allowed us to control exactly how warm or cool we wanted the apartment to be. They even have a separate heater for the bathroom, which was also well appointed with a very nice shower and plentiful hot water. The bed was very comfortable, and plenty of linens were provided. The location of the apartment provides quick access to everything in town, and the provided parking space right across the street allowed us to just hop in our car and explore everything the beautiful area has to offer. We look forward to staying again.

This was my first trip to Jim Thorpe. The suite we rented was exactly as advertised! Very clean, and cozy and perfectly located on the Main Street of town. The suite also came with a parking spot, which was a huge plus. I highly recommend this unit to rent and we will definitely be back again. We had an absolute blast. The people couldn’t not be more friendly and welcoming. Several great restaurants to choose from all within walking distance of the rental.

Everything was very nice but there was no closet or bureaus for our clothes good thing we bought hangers we hung our clothes in the laundry room. I think the owners live there and rent it out and stay upstairs the refrigerator had food and the freezer was packed.

This rental was wonderful. Helen was very easy to work with and very kind. The suite had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect and within walking distance to so many fun spots. Weekend stay
This weekend stay was great! Upon arrival without realizing, we were an hour early, Helen, the property owner, was so gracious in letting us in and getting settled. The apt. Was fantastic and extremely comfortable. She made sure that we had everything, this home was fully equipped and she even added in a few snacks. We were located on the Main road where everything was happening, but really didn’t feel that way. I think the loudest sound was a few motorcycles from time to time.
All in all it was a great stay, Helen was most accommodating, and I’d love to come back and rent her home again. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay and no better place to stay close to everything going on in Jim Thorpe for a couple. Slept great and had a relaxing fun weekend. Just walked across the street to our concert and down the street to tons of restaurants. Will be back! Thank you.

Perfect Place to Stay in Jim Thorpe
If you are a couple looking to spend time in Jim Thorpe I can't imagine why you would consider staying anywhere else. Perfect location in the middle of the town, directly across from the Opera House. We saw a show on Friday night and we were back in our lodgings before the rest of the audience got down from the balcony. The dedicated parking space is a HUGE plus in this congested town.
Lodgings are clean, comfortable and top notch. Great hosts!

I stayed at the Helen Van Pelt place in Jim Thorpe Pa. for the holiday weekend as I had 2 consecutive shows at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. My stay was magnificent. Very clean, cozy, and very zen place. The bed, super comfy. This beautiful place was full of antiques to admire. Lovely art on the walls, the lovely glass window frame next to the bed. Lovely books for your reading pleasure. Flyers for the area with all of the happenings. Food was available, gluten free, all kinds of daily needs. Coffee, breakfast items, assorted beers, wine, and different foods are available. The shower was perfect, plenty of hot water with the best shower pressure you could ask for. Helen is a perfect host. I honestly could have moved in this place forever. Quiet and peaceful. My stay was 5 star plus. Thank You !!!!!!

We had a great stay in Jim Thorpe! Helen is a great hostess, she had even baked us fresh pumpkin bread for our arrival! This suite is so clean and cozy, and has every amenity that we needed. In addition, this suite is perfectly located in the little town. We could walk to everything... food, tours, and entertainment.

Had a great experience renting the Van Pelt Suite in Jim Thorpe. Everything about the apartment was comfortable and cozy. The perfect place to relax for a weekend away from the kids, ideally situated in Jim Thorpe for access to the shops, restaurants, and excursions. If we come back to Jim Thorpe, we'll definitely be reserving here again.

First I want to thank Helen and Steve for their hospitality and attention to our comfort. My hubby and I had the best weekend! The suite was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was beautiful and fully stocked with all utensils etc. as if it was my own at home. We were even supplied with the BEST pumpkin muffins ever and complimentary beer and wine. We can't wait to return for another visit!

Great Private Suite in a Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay. Helen and Steve were great hosts and this suite has everything you could ask for. We enjoyed having a living room with comfortable coach to relax in between activities and the big fully equipped kitchen with anything you could ever think of needing. It was great being right in the middle of town so we could walk out our door and enjoy the shops, restaurants, and history.

Luxury Suite in the Heart of Jim Thorpe is a true and accurate description for this property.
My wife and I decided at the last minute to spend our wedding anniversary weekend in Jim Thorpe, PA and located this property via VRBO, receiving almost immediate approval and reservation confirmation. Upon arriving at the property we were greeted by reserved parking in a busy downtown area, homemade cookies in the luxury suite, and Helen the owner. Helen let us into the suite, described all the important suite reservation requirements, and operation of various appliances. The suite was well stocked with home comfort amenities to include a well-stocked kitchen, internet and TV services toiletries, and bath robes. Although the owners are on site, we never heard or were aware of their presence outside the greeting and suite overview session. The suite is perfectly situated within the Jim Thorpe business district allowing for opportunities to partake in various civic opportunities without having to drive and deal with parking situations. This luxury suite will remain at the top of our list of properties to rent for our next visit to Jim Thorpe.
