About this house rental
Located in Atlantic Beach, this attractive house for $525 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Beautifully decorated and remodeled, oceanfront beach cottage with all the charm of days gone by, with the huge covered porch equipped with big rocking chairs, for relaxing, visiting, reading, and gathering with friends and family. Other than the covered porch there is an open deck for sunning. The cottage has been furnished with new cottage-style furniture reminiscent of days gone by. There are three bedrooms upstairs... the first is furnished with a king-size bed... the second with a queen-size bed... the third with twin beds. The main floor has a bedroom with single beds, and downstairs is a separate suite equipped with a queen-size bed. This cottage rents from Saturday to Saturday. The cottage is equipped with an outside shower to clean the sand off, as well as two showers in the house.. On the covered porch is a picnic table where you can gather for meals, if you like, accompanied by the marvelous ocean breezes. Within walking distance is a fishing pier as well as restaurants and entertainment. Let this home bring you all the happiness and fun it has brought our family. Remember, you are only footsteps to the beach! Internet connection is provided. Linens and cleaning are now included in the rental price, not extra fees. Everything was wonderful. The only shortcoming was a lack of cooking utensils & pots/pans, especially of the non-stick variety. Other than that, the house was clean & comfortable, & we all 7 of us had a spectacular week staying there.

FANTASTIC. This was by far the best family location we have ever had. Our family consists of 35 members. Four homes were rented. My family's home was the absolute best (slept 10). Loved the layout of the rooms and the location...right on the beach! The parking was great and accommodated all our cars. All the rooms were perfect and exceeded our expectations. We will be back!!!

we enjoyed our 2-week stay at this beach cottage. fantastic oceanfront location. Everything was very basic-B, as advertised and reviewed.
The reason we cannot give this 5 stars is the number of bathrooms was unfairly misrepresented in the listing, and it was detrimental for the comfort and enjoyment of the group.
There were only 1.5 bathrooms (i.e. only one shower). So if you are OK vacationing with four bedrooms, 2 toilets and just one shower, this is acceptable.

Nice property right on the ocean front. Everything was as listed/described just couldn't control the various lights with remotes other than that I would happily stay there again.

This house was everything it said in its listing and more! The porch with the rocking chairs were amazing to start the day with a morning coffee and end the day with a night cap. The kitchen is fully stocked and has just about everything you need. The kitchen table was awesome for family meals and for playing games at night. We traveled with our grandchildren so the easy walk down to the beach in the morning and back up for lunch, it could not have been more perfect. We could walk to shops and restaurants from the house. The homeowners were super easy to work with, answering all of our questions timely. Will definitely look to rent this again in the future. Thank you

There was plenty of beds and space for the 7 of us to spread out and unpack. The basement bedroom/bath was perfect for the teens to set up their gaming and stay up all hours (and therefore sleep in as well). The kitchen was well equipped and the Food Lion delivered very quickly.

This place was exactly as listed and all the reviews were on point. The additional bathroom and bedroom downstairs is nice for some. We were going to use it as a bedroom but as noted it was only accessible from the outside. So we felt a bit distant from the rest of the family and decided just to use it as a spare bathroom when needed. We decided to all stay in the house which was definitely comfy. There was enough room for the children to share the rooms with the twin beds and the adults took the other two rooms. The laundry room was nice and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had one hiccup which was immediately addressed by the owner so that’s why we didn’t give it a five star rating. But we also know somethings happen and we were happy with Wendy’s quick response. But as I stated it was exactly as listed so no real surprises. We had a great time.

Charming cottage at Atlantic Beach
The cottage is well-furnished and beautifully decorated! Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, my family loved this ocean-front “home away from home”.

Fun and Friendly Abode by the Sea :)
We had such a fun time at this adorable house conveniently located on the ocean. Nice solid rockers on the porch overlooking the Atlantic, kitchen with lots of tools (even a garlic press!)—we love cooking, so this was such a nice touch for us, and comfy beds. Wendy and Darlene were both awesome and helped us iron out minor details, like the ROKU TV and ceiling fans. A great time was had by all who stayed. We hope to book it again in the future.

This is our second time at this property and we had another terrific week. Consistent with our last stay and another already planned again this year. Wendy is terrific and very responsive. Easy access to a great beach and great space for gathering outside also on a large deck. All fun for a family beach vacation.

Family vacation
We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home! The location was ideal for a week spent enjoying family time. One small issue we experienced is the door handle on the bedroom door next to the kitchen would lock inadvertantly when closed. Otherwise a great time had by all!

A Place In Our Hearts
There is nothing comparable to the character of this oceanfront home on Atlantic Beach. Everything our family of ten needed for a needed vacation. Wendy Rose is an excellent hostess.

Cute beach cottage by the sea
This property is perfect for a week at the beach. It is located close to the restaurants at the beach and is on a quiet street. The kitchen is very well equipped and made cooking easy. The only drawback was that there is only one full bath for the main two floors. (There is a half bath on the main level and a full bath in the lower level accessed by the outside.) It is a charming home where we spent most of our time rocking on the beach side porch. We would love to return again

Great location, but missed a few marks
This Atlantic Beach cottage is charming: white picket fence and great back deck overlooking the dunes. We had 5 adults and two children here, which was just about the right amount of space. Any more, and I’d think it’d be a bit tight as there are only two showers, and the kitchen is not spacious enough to prep for a party.
Overall house is pretty clean.
Things to note if you’re staying here (or for property owner to change):
No toilet paper, except what was left on rolls from previous renters.
No paper towels
No laundry soap or dryer sheets
No trash bags
No beach chairs
No beach towels
To me, these are small touches that make guests feel more at home, as most people are coming from out of town. (We flew From California and can’t bring beach chairs and towels!)
If you’re looking for a basic, no frills place with a great view l, nice locations, and comfy beds, I’d recommend this place-but for the price, I’d wished the place was more well prepared for guests and more well cared for.

Long Spring Weekend at Atlantic Beach
We very much enjoyed our stay. Perfect for the 5 of us (we did not use the down stairs apartment; there was plenty extra space). Easy beach access, nice breakfast view from deck. Close to Ft Macon, aquarium, Beaufort. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful and extremely cleaned ocean front property with very nice wrap around porch with latched gates that allow for your dog to safely and independently venture to a nice size fenced area located in front of dune. Property owner Wendy Rose is very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and the close proximity to Beaufort and Harker's Island.

Very Nice Location but...
I have mixed reviews. This was located in a very good location, and for the most part we had a nice stay. This is the first VRBO where bed linens and towels were not included in the price. You have to pay extra for those. However, we misunderstood, as we were told extra for bed linens, so we brought our own, expecting that there would still be towels. When we arrived, there were no bath or kitchen towels. We also noticed the next morning that there were ants on all of the kitchen counters. We are not sure where they came from, as we did not have any food out on the counters. We just had to keep killing them, as there were quite a few, and never ending. We notified the owner. It was the next day that we saw an exterminator out around the perimeter of the home. He asked if we wanted him to spray in the kitchen, but since we only had one more night, we didn't want to have pesticides around our food. Although the home has a nice layout, be aware that although it advertises 2 full baths and one 1/2, the 1 full bath is in a separate unit that is located outside on the bottom level. That is the only way to get to that bathroom. We were not aware of that at the time either. All five of us shared one bathroom, and on the 2nd evening, the glass shower stall door came half off the track into the tub. We were unable to use it safely, as the other sliding door was blocked by a screw so you could not slide it to get in. We reported that as well to the owner. It was then that she told us about the other shower in the other unit. The porch and deck were very nice, and there were nice rocking chairs out on the porch, but I did not see any cushions for them, like shown in the picture.
I would have given this home five stars, if we had arrived to towels and no ants. Also, if the shower would have been properly checked and fixed prior to our arrival, and knowledge of the exterior entrance to the other bathroom. Of course, that would have been a little inconvenient to use during the time of year we went, because it was cold and windy. I surely would not want to have gone outside and down the steps to another unit to take a shower in the morning.

A classic Atlantic Beach home. Very comfortable. Will plan to stay again. Wish the upper floors had two full baths or a inside door down stairs connecting the other full bath and bedroom to the rest of the house.
