Nestled in Princeville, this charming house for $464 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Welcome to Hale Mahina! Long hidden as a luxury private residence, this Princeville pearl is now yours to enjoy. All one level, Hale Mahina offers unobstructed expansive views of the bejeweled Nanolokama Mountains and Bali Hai across Lake Mahina and the world renowned Makai Golf Course. Our 3 bedroom, 3 bath single level home is decorated with Asian island decor, antiques and artwork, and Tommy Bahama furniture. CHECK OUT THE VIRTUAL TOUR WALK THROUGH OF OUR SPECTACULAR HOME (LOCATED AT THE END OF THE PHOTO STRING). It has two master suites, both with their own bathrooms. Master suite # 2 has a jetted tub, Queen bed, quality linens and Master suite 1, a king bed, quality linens and tiled shower with double vanity. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds, quality linens, 50" flat screen TV with Blu Ray player. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with all gadgets you would need to create a culinary masterpiece. Stainless steel cookware, rice cooker, crock pot, Kitchen-aid mixer, Vitamix blender, juicer, Keurig coffee maker, regular coffeemaker, French press, coffee grinder, bake ware, and all utensils, including a rolling pin. Filtered water and ice on the refrigerator door. Two citrus trees, one lemon and one lime that will add refreshment to your beverages when in season. The layout allows the cool ocean trade winds to flow through the home and there are ceiling fans in every room and portable ones to position where needed. The views are magnificent from both lanai's. Relax and unwind from your busy day and watch the sunset over the mountains in a very private setting while grilling on the Weber gas BBQ. Hale Mahina provides full size washer and dryer, beach accessories including beach towels, cooler, chairs, two boogie boards and snorkel gear. We have set up a ping pong table on the lanai for added fun. Everything you would need to create memories. Please note: Parties of more than 6 guests will be charged an additional $25 per night, per guest, for the seventh and eighth guests. Also note: Princeville is a residential community of homeowners that enjoy quiet time between 10 pm - 8 am. If security is called because of continual excessive noise whether during the day or quiet time 10 pm to 8 am, a fine of $300 is assessed to the homeowner for the first visit and $500 if they have to return. These charges will be billed to the guest.

We had a great stay. The house is nice and has everything we needed. It was a bit warm (July / Aug) without air conditioning, and there seemed to be a lot of mosquitos on the patio, so we didn't spend as much time outside on the as we had hoped. But overall, a great place and we enjoyed it.

This home is very well kept and in a very nice residential neighborhood that feels upscale and safe. The mountain and tree views from the back deck are picture perfect.
The only reason that this gets four stars vs five is that it was quite warm in the house and the owners are very particular about not leaving fans on when you are out and about. Thus, after a long hot day of exploring, coming back to a very warm house that does not cool down quickly was not ideal. I imagine it is quite comfortable during slightly cooler temps. It was about 82 the few days we stayed.
In all, it was a good experience and we would recommend this home to others.

This house is very comfortable. It is well decorated and furnished. We enjoyed the ping pong and the spectacular view. On breezy days it is just delightful to be inside or out on one of the two porches. The house is on a golf course that is now closed. As a result, the cart paths of this course now serve as walking paths. The golf course land is now used for Disc golf.

The house is beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed. Communication with Gail was easy and friendly. She really made us feel like friends rather than customers. The beds are comfortable with nice bedding, and lovely bathrooms for each bedroom. The kitchen has everything you need, even spices, olive oil, and vinegar. Cannot say enough good things about this home. But, the crowning glory is the view from the back lanai and… well honestly the view is incredible from every room in the house. The view made me want to stay forever! We have already reserved again for next year. Thank you Gail!

We had a wonderful experience at this property. Communication was exceptional and very helpful. The location in Princeville was great with easy access to the grocery store and transportation to Hanalei. The house was well equipped with cooking utensils. Beds were comfortable. We rented ebikes for travel throughout Princeville - recommend! Of many properties that we have rented in Princeville and Hanalei, my family stated that this was one of their favorites. Thank you to Gail and the property owners for use of the home!

We were so pleased with our stay at this property. The owners thought of everything down to the smallest detail to ensure a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a convenient grocery store near by. The view from the back lanai was stunningly beautiful especially at sunset and had plenty of seating for our family. The garage was conveniently stocked for our days at the beach. We would highly recommend! Truly magical setting!

Far Exceeds Expectations
What a absolutely lovely and comfortable home! Gail takes great care of not only her home but her service and communication with you. You really feel like you've stepped into someone's personal home. So many lovely details. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. Super comfy beds and spacious living area. We were two families of 3 sharing the home and with the two master bedrooms on separate sides of the house, each with it's own lanai, we never felt like we were on top of each other. Our one concern was there was no air conditioning and we would be there in July. That was not a problem! The airflow in the house with the trade winds and the many fans kept the house cool at all times. Don't get me started with the amazing views off the lanai of the mountains and waterfalls. There is no better way then to start your day then with a coffee and that view! It was like postcard. We loved it so much that we will most definitely be back. Thank you Gail, for being an amazing hostess!

A slice of heaven. That’s how I would describe this property with its phenomenal view of the frisbee golf course and pond off the two lanies in the back of the home. The home was clean and beautifully furnished. The kitchen has every item you need to prepare meals. We fed a beautiful assortment of birds every morning and evening off the front porch. There is no air-conditioning but while we were here there was no need for it as we never felt like it was too hot. There are ceiling fans and free standing floor fans in every room including the master bathroom. Bottom line, it is a beautiful and relaxing place to call home and to return to after leaving each day to explore the other phenomenal sites of Kauai.

Unbelievable Views of Napoli Coast
We had a wonderful time during our 5 week stay. Check in/check out was easy and seamless. Gail was a very responsive and helpful host. The house was very comfortable, the kitchen extremely well stocked. We especially enjoyed the two lanais with spectacular views of the golf course, lake and mountains. We made good use of the lemons and limes from the trees on the side of the house and the guitar and ping pong table were extra touches for our incredible trip.

Kitchen was fully stocked. A real plus we’re the beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, and snorkel equipment. Beds were very comfortable. We ate all our meals outside on the porch, which has a wonderful view of a frisbee golf course and pond.

The combination of the sparkling lake, the verdant mountains, and the uber quiet setting in the backyard, made this stay remarkably memorable. Gail was especially helpful with dining recommendations and extremely helpful in all her communications. The home is very well cared for and we found the home to be everything we hoped it would be. They even left the porch lights on for us, due to a very late evening arrival. Excellent setting and hosts!

Great Stay
We had a great stay with our three teenagers in this property. Great location and a terrific layout. The house was clean and equipped with everything you could need to have a great stay on the North Shore of Kauai. The host was extremely easy to work with and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
