Nestled in Dauphin Island, this attractive house for $309 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. SEA DOG REMODEL underway for 2024! Major remodeling is currently underway with fantastic upgrades for you! Already completed is a new roof, new flooring, new siding and interior painting throughout the home! An elevated crow's nest style observation deck that will have an incredible over the roof height view of the Gulf with built in benches and a cushioned area to stretch out and relax is under construction! Want more? You got it! How about an extension of the main floor deck and a new round 10-foot diameter, 28 inch deep "cocktail pool" to enjoy? Sea Dog will be even more fantastic for pet owners with new access stairs off the west deck that lead to a convenient, fenced dog area! There's also a great bedding change coming to maximize your family's comfort! Sea Dog can now sleep 11 (9 adults max) with a King in the master bedroom, a Queen and a Twin bunk in the second bedroom and a Twin Daybed that easily converts to a King in the south bedroom! The living room has a new pop-up sleeper sofa (so no uncomfortable sofa bed bar) and a twin-size sleeper chair. Check back for updates and new pictures as the remodel wraps up soon! This fantastic pet friendly, Gulf view home is located just across from one of Dauphin Island’s last stretches of undeveloped Gulf Beachfront and has beautiful, expansive Gulf views. In addition to the panoramic gulf views from the large open deck and interior, your family will enjoy the spacious open floor plan with charming wood beam ceilings, plank flooring, granite counter tops and more. Sea Dog has three bedroom and three full baths, comfortable living area with an electric fireplace, cable TV, DVD laundry facilities including a full-size washer and dryer and a well-equipped kitchen. The chef in your family will enjoy the well-appointed kitchen with smooth top stove, microwave, dishwasher, stainless refrigerator with ice maker, Keurig Duo coffee maker - brew an automatic drip pot of coffee or use a single serve pod for individual servings, blender and a 4-slice toaster. Sea Dog sleeps 11 guests (9 adults maximum). The master bedroom is equipped with a California King bed, full private bath, private north deck and cable TV. The second bedroom is equipped with a Queen-sized bed, Twin Bunk and Cable TV and shares the Jack and Jill full bath with the third bedroom. Equipped with a convertible bed that can be used as a Twin Daybed or as a King bed. The large third bedroom has a wonderful Gulf view. A third full bath is located in the hallway just off the living room and kitchen area. You can’t beat this location! Wonderful open Gulf view from Sea Dog. Just across Bienville Blvd is the Island walking and biking trail. Sea Dog also has access to the northern cove of the nearby neighborhood association beach, located behind Sea Dog to the Northeast, this inlet beach is a wonderful area to launch your kayaks or paddle boards from the shore or let your young children splash and play in calm waters. Bring your bicycles or jogging shoes to take advantage of the walking and biking trail that runs the full seven-mile length of Bienville Blvd.

The house was amazing and a great location

Property was very dirty upon arrival-towels not folded, dirty bedding wadded up in closets, dog and human hair everywhere (washing machine and dryer covered in dog hair), dust all over lamp shades and fan chains. Boardwalk manager did come to property and take dirty bedding/towels and wipe out master bath and vanity in guest room. We did have to go and buy our own cleaning supplies and do more cleaning ourselves. Cookware needed to be rinsed or washed before using. Bath rugs were filthy and had to be washed. Our property was the only yard not mowed around us, which seemed to lead to lots of mosquitos. Lots of lightbulbs out or not working in fans and lamps. House was definitely in need of some updating, especially master bath and guest bedroom. Keep in mind the “third bedroom” is more of a sitting room with a very hard daybed/couch (they do provide two cots). Television in second bedroom didn’t work.
We love Dauphin Island and the beaches, but we will not stay at this property again.

Dauphin Island is very quiet and peaceful. The house is well kept and comfortable. Our family of 4 and dog had plenty of space to spread out. Please note that the walk to the beach is the length of 2 city blocks, so be prepared to haul your stuff a bit. Overall a nice place to visit with friendly people.

This property is a perfect place for a stay in DI. The house is across the street from a public path up the beach. Slow and steady wins the race, so be patient as you walk through the sandy path with your gear. The house is comfortable and stocked with basics in the kitchen. I’ll be back!

Lovely, homey vacation rental. It had everything we needed. Our dog also enjoyed her visit. We also loved the proximity of the beach to the home. Thank you, hosts!!!

We came down with another couple from Atlanta. We were so delighted with the large deck- we spent every morning and evening on the deck looking at the gulf. It is a short walk (less than 5 mins) to a beautiful remote beach. We had breakfast from lighthouse bakery and picked up fresh seafood from skinners. It was the perfect low key trip. We will be back!

Also, as soon as we arrived at the house a repair man came to check the A/C unit in the middle bedroom which was leaking all over the carpet, making it completely saturated in one corner of the room. The realty company knew about these problems and I feel like they could have given us a different unit comparable to the one I paid for, where everything was in proper working order.

Took my Mom and daughter for a short vacation. So thankful that you allowed pets as my mom has a dog that won’t leave her side. House was beautiful and just right for us. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend.

What once was a nicely outfitted & decorated home needs major renovations. Everything was worn and showing its age. Leather chair was taped up and not allof the fans and lights worked.. There was an over abundance of decor that cluttered the house. Obviously the owner has not been there in awhile as it it is dirty and needs a deep cleaning. Air ducts, fans etc were full of greasy dirt. Thankfully I had some cleaning supplies with me. I bought scented candles and baking soda to help eliminate the over all fried seafood smell. I am glad my grandchildren were unable to come as I would not want them playing on the floor. I am sure it is difficult renting out your house as others do not take care of it as the owners would. For the price I think it was not worth it - the pictures were misleading. We did call the management company for assistance as the garbage can blew away in a big storm. They said they would take care of it but never did.

The beach is not over crowded. We had to evacuate for Hurricane Delta so we did not get to stay long enough. We have already decided to go back . The locals are very friendly. Great time overall with places to stay.

We had a wonderful time this week. The house was very charming. We loved to wake up in the mornings and have our coffee/tea on the deck and look at the view.

Okay place to stay, good value for price.
Pros: great price, spacious living area, kitchen had adequate storage, place was clean. Lots of linen and kitchen utensils. plenty of parking.
Cons: Dryer is defective, 40% of light bulbs burned out including the fridge, very dark, Internet is useless slow as a turtle, lights outside were hanging by the wire on porch, longer walk to beach than anticipated.

Family Vacation
This is a wonderful home that has a lot of room (4 adults and 1 child). It is nice to find a property to rent that I can take my large dogs (Mastiff and Collie). Even with the COVID restrictions there is a lot to do on the island and the house is centrally located with access to the bay and gulf. We will defiantly book another stay!

Great stay!
Nice place. Clean and comfortable. Lots of clean towels. I wish there was an outdoor shower or at least a platform to stand on when hosing off under the house. I don’t love being on Bienville but as a cyclist I enjoyed the convenience. I would rent this property again.
