Allison and Scott are wonderful hosts of their home, Blissful Bay! Scott went above and beyond in dealing with a problem we encountered upon our arrival and Allison made herself available to any questions we had and responded within a few minutes. As for the house and location, both were perfect for our multi-family gathering. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very nice. Allison has done an excellent job of decorating for comfort and efficiency. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances are “real and working.” There are two barbecue grills, so be sure to pack charcoal. The prices on the island are steep, so plan wisely! Our grandsons fished non-stop off the dock and the inlets that were nearby. The adults enjoyed sitting out on the balcony to watch the fun and visit, or to read a book and watch the birds in the evening. The beach was just a five minute walk across the main road or a short drive down the main road. There is a 10 a day fee for parking at the beach on either end of the island. There’s four paid parking areas on the island that’s included on the pass, so you can actually make good use of the beach access. Our family had a wonderful vacation together! I hope we can visit the Blissful Bay home again!

We throughly enjoyed our recent stay in Dauphin Island. The home was beautiful and perfect for our group.
The beach-goers had an easy walk to an uncrowded beach. The fishermen enjoyed the boat dock and quick gulf access.
This was our first visit to Dauphin Island and hope to visit again.
