This is a 20 year old custom built home that has the homey architectural feel of the Craftsman style. There are brand-new wood tile floors throughout the main living area and brand new carpet in all bedrooms and upstairs. The two bedrooms upstairs have beautifully lofted ceilings for an open feel. There are plenty of windows so it is light and airy inside. Our home is located about 1 mile southeast of the Hwy 1 and Hwy 20 intersection. This location makes it easy to drive to Ft. Bragg for shopping, beaches and activities if you head north and to Casper, Cabrillo lighthouse and the Village of Mendocino if you turn south. The house has a spacious kitchen and nice open floor plan with a large private patio and BBQ. The patio has plenty of outdoor seating and a table for outdoor dining. The backyard is great for exploring!! The front porch has seating also and is a great place to catch the morning sun. The bedrooms and bathrooms have quality bedding, comforters and towels. We can handle 2-4 more quests ( prefer them to be children) than the 3 beds accommodate - on air mattresses. You must supply the air mattress although there are extra linens for your use (Queen and Twin). Our garage is a private space and is unavailable for use. Home has washer/ dryer and dishwasher. TV/DVD/VCR available, WiFi and a Radio and CD player. Pets are welcome downstairs with a deposit. The property is 1.1 acres and fenced (although not to keep a pet in line) It is large and flat with seasonal lawn on 2 sides and a natural area in the back - great for kids to run around. Unfortunately our fireplace is not working at this time The two upstairs bathrooms have large soak tubs. Please be aware that next door to us is a home based business that makes crab pots and fishing nets. It is not a noisy business but there is a bit of auto traffic going to their property ***We are excited to announce that with the newest Shelter In Place order scheduled for Mendocino County we will once again able to welcome visitors to enjoy our beautiful home. As our rural county begins reopening to outside visitors, we are mindful of our role as stewards, and we are asking all of our guests to do their part to help keep Mendocino County safe. If at any point between making your reservation and your trip you begin to exhibit signs of sickness or a cough, please contact us to reschedule your trip for a later date. Please keep in mind local restaurants and businesses will be requiring masks. So please come prepared and help us contain the spread by doing your part, to ensure we are able to remain open and that our community, families, and staff are able to remain healthy and happy. We have new protocols in place to help keep everyone safe. We have enacted rigorous cleaning procedures to keep our renters safe and healthy.
