Situated in Key Largo, this attractive condo for $246 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Is SUN and FUN listed as keys to your next vacation? Look no further because you will find huge quantities right here in Key Largo! Our COMPLETELY REMODELED condominium provides an ideal location to enjoy the best of the Florida Keys. You won't find another unit like this. Located on the 4th floor, you are high enough to see over the town homes and view Blackwater Sound. As we are in middle of the building, your views are not blocked by the other building so you can enjoy sunsets right on our balcony. Nightly beautiful sunsets are amazing, whether viewed from the unit balcony or down at the docks. Bring your boat and use our dedicated boat slip (slip #5). There is a king bed in the larger bedroom which faces the water. Automated lutron shades in the main bedroom offer privacy when needed and full views of the bay when raised. There is a queen bed in the second bedroom. Each bedroom has it's own closet and each has a comfortable memory foam topper that gets regular compliments. In addition, there is a full size murphy bed in the front entry along with a built in for storage of clothes and misc. item. This allows the front entry to be used essentially as a 3rd bedroom offering both privacy and storage. Custom kitchen and bathroom cabinets, all new kitchen appliances and accessories (plates, cups, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, blender etc), new bedding, rugs, towels, lighting, ceiling fans, windows, couch, patio furniture, tile and doors. A 60" flat screen smart television with TiVo and Apple TV provides renters with a variety of video choices. A SONOS sound system allows you to steam your favorite music right off your smart phone, tablet . The Lutron motorized shades allow for light and views to filter through while blocking the intense heat of the afternoon sun all at touch of a button. This fantastic remodel complimented by all the renovations on the outside makes our unit the best rental in Moon Bay! If you do not have a boat, do not worry because there is plenty to do in Key Largo. The private, gated community of Moon Bay boasts two heated pools (one for kids and one for adults), large sun deck, a tennis court, recently renovated clubhouse with Ping-Pong table, TVs and saunas, outdoor barbecue with running water and seating, and a fish cleaning station on the dock. After an initial hiccup with check-in when the code provided to us would not open the door, everything was great. The code was rectified by the owner within an hour even though it was very late.
VRBO though gets 0 stars when we had reached out to them for resolution. We were checking in late, after midnight (which we had cleared through the owner), and when we couldn’t initially get in VRBO actually suggested we go out to lunch or do a little sightseeing. Like, WHAT, it’s midnight!! Then, they told us that we were not covered by their guarantee and couldn’t help us. When I asked why, the person couldn’t tell us, just that we weren’t! We had done everything right, paid upfront through VRBO but for some reason not covered! If the owner hadn’t gotten back to us quickly, we’d have been in trouble. But, like I said, she did and all was well. But be warned about the VRBO guarantee.
Back to the unit and property, wonderful! The unit is freshly remodeled and very well provisioned with all of the kitchen supplies you could possibly need. Plus there was coffee, spices, plenty of towels, beach toys, snorkels, masks, fishing poles and more. I caught two pretty big barracuda off the pier which was a blast. The property overall is also great. A beautiful clean pool with tons of loungers, great sun decks, shuffleboard, tennis, pickleball, ping pong, foosball and more! There is a great marina pier for watching sunset and fishing. There is a great clubhouse! Fabulous and will be back

Great location and super comfy beds. Two bedroom but the third Murphy bed was a nice addition. Place was clean but many items were broken upon arrival and not addressed during our stay: ice maker, dishwasher, 1/2 bath toilet and shower handle. Also, no disposable amenities included, ie soap, shampoo, or kitchen essentials.

The unit has a great view. The pool is relaxing. Many places to dine out, some within walking distance. The negitives for me were, no tv in the master bedroom and the main door into the unit was hard to open.

Host was very accommodating. The ocean views from both the main room and bedroom are wonderful. all new appliances, comfortable bed and very close to restaurants and bars. we really enjoyed our month. Would do it again.

The condo was very well equipped for all of our cooking needs and the owner was very prompt in answering our questions (especially instructing us how to find the hidden silverware drawer) lol. The mattress topper was a bit soft for our liking but we slept great. The pool had just reopened and was beautiful and cool which was nice on hot days unlike the warm pools in Key West. The little beach was cute but we didn't swim in that water. The only complaint we have is the door was quite a challenge to get in every time. I would recommend replacing the door frame and locking mechanism but it was an easy walk to several bars and restaurants. We would stay here again when we visit the keys.

This condo was a great home base location for the 3 Florida National Parks. We found so many other things to do in Key Largo and Islamorada. Also, lots of great restaurants nearby.

The apartment is as described, remodeled, new appliances etc.
However (1) Getting access on a Saturday evening took about 1.5 hours (detail below), (2) the pool is closed for reconstruction and I wasn't informed in advance.
Access difficulties: To get in you need to know the following. which we weren't provided in the access instructions:
1. This is a gated condo community called Moon Bay
2. To get through the gate you need a code. we weren't given that so it was about 30 minutes of calling the owner and VRBO before a kindly pizza delivery guy gave us the code.
3. Once in you need to know which of the several multi-storey buildings or which townhouse is your rental - we didn't
4. In the multi-storey, you need to know the apartment number - we didn't
5 You have a designated parking spot but you need to know the building and location to park - we didn't
VRBO customer service (1st and 2nd level) were of no use and I had to provide the listing number, my rental contract number, and my email address twice to just get them engaged. Eventually the owner returned my vmails and we got access.
Next morning we thought we'd go sit by the pool. Surprise - it's a building site. So we bought 2 beach chairs in Publix ($118) and for the rest of the week paid $9 a day for admittance to the Pennekamp state Park beach ($63) so almost $200 in unplanned expenses.
So to summarize, the apartment is OK but I wouldn't have done this rental if I'd known about the access hassle and lack of a pool.

Great location just over 1 mile to john pennekemp state park, walking distance to mexican n other restaurants, path along overseas highway to bike/run, easy drive to dive boats, got scuba certified by rainbow reef shop with my son while other family dove also. Moon bay condo was beautiful, updated, clean, everything u need, plush towels, balcony for sunsets, nice pool with sun deck n rec room with games, hammocks etc. Alison easy to reach, quick to respond, but really no issues. This is a recently renovated condo in a gated complex. The condo is beautiful with a very nice view of the ocean. The kitchen has modern upscale appliances and has is a comfortable sectional around a large screen TV. The balcony features a table and chairs for meals or happy hour. The beds are very comfortable and the whole condo has lots of storage. there is a covered parking area, that keeps your car cool. If you are a diver, there is a hose at the northern of the building that can be used to rinse off gear. It is also a very short distance from Horizon Divers. I would recommend this condo and we plan to visit again the future.

We were unfortunately not able to get into this condo (A405) at 4pm since we were told that the previous renters had been there a month and left a huge mess, things were missing and broken. So the cleaning girl had a lot of work to do. She also had to go out and purchase the soaps and supplies that were taken by the previous renters. She worked hard so that we were able to finally get in at 5:30. Not such a big deal since we decided to go to dinner at The Big Chill. When we got into the condo though and walked around in bare feet, the bottoms of our feet were black. We assumed it may have been from the floor on the balcony. So we looked for a mop to clean it and there was only a broken sponge mop. So we went to the Dollar Tree and bought some supplies and a mop to clean. The sectional couch is oversized and not comfortable for us . We moved the chaise section and found all kinds of potato chips under the couch so we got out the vacuum and cleaned the whole condo. The beds in both bedrooms have mattresses that dip towards the middle. It is fine for one person but not when 2 people try to sleep. The Murphy bed in the spare room had a firm mattress which my husband slept in but it was broken by a previous renter. It was a bit temperamental but usable. The powder room was extremely cramped and very scary especially if you are claustrophobic. In order to open the drawer under the sink you had to have the door open since it was so tight near the toilet. The pocket door was not lined properly and stuck often. The air conditioner is very noisy and needs some maintenance. The washer and dryer also are noisy and the dryer takes forever to dry . So the vents probably need a clean out. Overall we had a wonderful time but this unit really needs some TLC as the renters probably don’t care for things like they should. I had no response from the owner when I messaged her. But I feel she should know about these things. We loved staying here and tried to care for this unit and feel we left it in better shape than it was when we arrived. We appreciate being able to stay here and will come back to Moon Bay next year. It’s a wonderful property.

Unit was not Covid cleaned as advertised (1day between renters). Oven and toaster not cleaned, bathtub grimy at base edge, pots and pans need replacing, no water pressure in sink in main bathroom and needed maintenance man to sit out after arrival. Whilst this unit has been modernised to a high standard the lack of care and attention to detail was lacking.

Beautiful accommodations, fabulous view from balcony, everything one needed to make it a comfortable “home away from home”. We really enjoyed our stay. Two granddaughters stayed with us a couple nights and they too were very impressed.

It's exactly as pictured, very clean, nice amenities. Anything we needed we had, comfortable bed and everything else. Its secure, gated, and has a nice dock with dolphin and manatee sightings, we really enjoyed it and would stay again.
