About this house rental
Situated in Guerneville, this lovely house for $625 per night is a great choice for your next break. Highland Manor is a large Tudor-style home with a separate cottage and a Pool and Spa that will accommodate a family get together or group retreat of up to 12 people. It is nicely furnished for your pleasure and comfort with classic hardwood and tiled floors throughout. INSIDE: The manor’s expanded lower level includes a spacious living room with a river rock fireplace, leather sofas, and a large flat screen TV with DVD, Roku player, and 120+ cable channels including HBO. The gourmet kitchen has every amenity, including a large gas stove, reverse-osmosis water filtration, and an adjacent dining room with seating for 10+. French doors from the kitchen and from the dining room open to the pool deck. In addition, the ground floor features a queen bedroom, a full bathroom with a shower and a half bath. There is also a huge family room with a four twin beds, a futon, and a 46 inch LCD TV with cable and a DVD player: a perfect place for kids and groups to play and sleep. The manor’s upstairs includes three bedrooms with antique furniture, a master bath with a shower, and shared bathroom with a shower and separate bath tub. Master bedroom has a queen bed and a crib, second bedroom has a king-sized four-poster bed, and third bedroom has a queen bed with a balcony overlooking the pool deck. Every window has beautiful garden and/or forest views. Behind the house is a separate cottage with a tournament pool table downstairs and upstairs has a bedroom with a queen bed and an attached full bathroom. OUTSIDE: The private backyard boasts an in-deck, large heated swimming pool (May thru October) with certified safety cover. The deck also includes dozens of chairs and loungers bathed in afternoon sunshine, several tables with umbrellas, a large propane grill, and a hot tub for seven. Around the manor is a half-acre of nicely landscaped grounds that include two towering redwood trees, forest views all around, gardens for strolling and relaxing, and a private patio behind the cottage. The front yard includes a good-sized lawn for games, a rose garden, and a circular driveway with parking for five cars without being blocked in. AROUND TOWN: The Manor sits atop a hill on a secluded cul-de-sac in Guerneville's 'Morningside' neighborhood – a private and quiet retreat that is but just minutes from downtown Guerneville. In town you and can enjoy shopping, coffee and dessert shops, and fine dining. At the edge of town you can go swimming, sunbathing, canoeing/paddle-boarding on the Russian River at Johnson’s Beach. By car, there are scenic redwood hikes within 10 minutes, a spectacular ocean beach within 30 minutes, and hundreds of local, world-class wineries within 45 minutes.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during our stay here at the Highland Manor! The place was comfortable and nicely furnished. The pool was fine, although shallow. A beautiful setting with many places to lounge and relax, plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen was well equipped.

The house had some nice features such as a large stove that may be top of the line but other things need repair such as kitchen cabinets that don't close. Some bathrooms are very nice, others not so much

No problems with neighbors, kitchen was great to cook in, stairs creak but noise is largely fine since there are three distinct sections of the house: bedrooms in house proper, bedrooms in the additional family room which feels very separate if you clise the door, and then the back unit. House did have a musty, smoke-like smell which cleared out with open windows. Great stay.

Great house for a large family. We enjoyed our stay very much. However, beware of the checkout process. The owner will charge you an additional $50 or $100 (charges vary) if you miss something. Also, be prepared for a handyman and/or pool technician to unexpectedly show up.

The house was large enough to accommodate a group of 10 friends for a birthday and we had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was beautiful and secluded. It was a great weekend!

We were there for three nights over New Years. There were three generations. It rained all except one day. Everyone appreciated the Armstrong Redwoods State Park on the sunny day. Everyone got involved with jigsaw puzzles. The pool table was enjoyed by all generations. Although we ate out for two dinners and didn’t use the kitchen too much, we were impressed with the completeness of the kitchen. Labeling of all cabinets was very helpful.

Guerneville is a place of memories for our family since 1910. The Manor is a dream come true. Our ancestors can’t believe we found such a glorious spot:, roomy, perfectly situated, generous in all its offerings, beds comfy, kitchen big and homey, dining room divine, and the decks, the cottage. The pool is all happiness. Many thanks to host Caner. Made everything easy. We had a ball..our three year old twins are sure it is heaven. Lawler, Pique, Alvarez family.
